Gu Aihan felt that the latter was most likely the reason.

She felt relieved that she had dealt with the potential danger before it could sprout!

"Yifan are you jealous? If you want, I can kiss you too..." Gu Aihan said with a smile.

Long Yifan smiled even more widely,

"Oh, is that so? Well I am fine, come kiss me, and I will a post picture of us on social media. I won’t forget to tag your dear spare tire."

Gu Aihan’s face instantly turned red from anger and she shouted,

"Long Yifan how can you be so heartless! I have dignity! I will never allow you to post such a vulgar thing on the internet!

At least give basic respect to me!"

Earlier Gu Aihan thought that Long Yifan was jealous and might have developed a bit of feeling for her, and this may be the reason why he gave so much importance to the other girl because he wanted to make her jealous.

She almost invited him to go shopping with her.

But just by Long Yifan’s sentence, it was clear he hated her.

Otherwise which young man would be willing to show their beloved’s face filled with lust?

Not to mention, if he posts those pictures on the internet, won’t her other admirers give up on her?

So he was truly there just to give her a warning?

"Oh, yeah. I have prepared a gift for you. Enjoy."

"What gift?"

Long Yifan chuckled,

"Don’t you love to interfere in other’s matter? Don’t you love to expose ’mistresses’? So I have helped you to expose some mistress of your admirers."

Gu Aihan was confused for a moment but then as if understanding something her face turned pale and she shouted,

"You! You did not!"

She couldn’t finish her words because the next second Long Yifan chuckled and nodded,

"Yes, I leaked the photos in which you were accidentally kissing your admirers, guess what, they won’t need to stay in the closet!"

"Long Yifan! Don’t you dare do it! I am telling you to delete those photos right now!"

Gu Aihan lunged at Long Yifan, her fingers curled into claws, but he effortlessly sidestepped her, his laughter filling the room with a chilling resonance.

"Too late, Aihan," he said, his voice dripping with mockery.

"They’re already out there. Consider it a taste of your own medicine."

Gu Aihan’s face contorted with rage and desperation.

"You bastard! You’ve ruined me!"

Long Yifan shrugged nonchalantly.

"I’m just getting started. You see, Aihan, you messed with the wrong person. You thought you could manipulate everyone around you, but now you’ll learn the hard way what it means to be on the receiving end."

He turned to leave, but paused at the doorway, looking back at her with cold, unfeeling eyes.

"This is just the beginning. Keep your guard up."

"Wasn’t she just a girl? Why are you being so harsh on me? I will apologize to her, okay? I will atone in front of her grave."

"You want her..." dead. Long Yifan didn’t complete his words.

Did she think that Gu Jin died already?

Long Yifan paused.

He remembered Gu Jin’s calm eyes and knew that she was in fact very hurt.

If Gu Aihan knew that she was alive and kept on attacking her, god knows how much Gu Jin would be.

Long Yifan took a decision in his heart.

The last thing he could do for her was to protect her...

So he will never contact her again and ask her to leave his mansion.

If he was ruthless to Gu Jin now, she would forget about him, pursue a good man, and never look back at him.

He can like her from the shadows...

But for that, he needs to ensure that Gu Aihan doesn’t know the truth and hence he changes his words and says coldly,

"You wanted her dead. And now she is dead. Even in her peaceful sleep, you want to disturb her? Don’t go near her grave!"

Gu Aihan gritted her teeth and said,

"Then delete those photos! I am your fiance!"

"You should have thought about that when you were cheating on me." Long Yifan left her villa after finishing his words.

Gu Aihan didn’t chase him, instead, she opened her internet in the hopes that the photo was unclear.

To her dismay, the pictures were crystal clear. In each photo, Gu Aihan was either kissing some men on their cheeks or they were standing near each other in a very ambiguous way.

"Ahhhh!" Gu Aihan shouted in anger.

All the maids shuddered.

They have seen Gu Aihan scheme against many people and so far she has never suffered any loss. This time though... Gu Aihan truly had the taste of her own medicine.

Long Yifan called a number and said in a serious voice,

"I want you to protect someone. Till lifetime. Her name is Gu Jin. Don’t report me her whereabouts until and unless she is in grave danger."

"Okay." The person on the other end answered.

Long Yifan hung up the call and took out a photo of Gu Jin.

It was the only photo he had of Gu Jin.

He caressed the photo and said softly,

"I am sorry. Find a better person to like in the future, Jin."

He said it so gently that it wasn’t even audible.

With a gentle look on his face, he lowered his lips and kissed the photo, a tear slightly rolled out of the corner of his eyes.

He never got the chance to tell her his feelings while she confessed them so boldly.

It was once said that whoever doesn’t confess will have regret till the end of their life and Long Yifan could feel that regret.

He knew that maybe in Gu Jin’s future, he might become a villain since he didn’t give her any good memory.

Suddenly he remembered his mother’s words,

"Every hero has a villain in their life, but when you look from the villain’s perspective, you will know that hero was too not a good person.

Do you know I loved your dad because I thought he was a hero? I left a villain who loved me wholeheartedly.

Later when that hero sacrificed me for his benefit, I realized how shallow I was.

Yifan be a villain. Never sacrifice your family for the benefit of the world."

The small Long Yifan didn’t believe it and became a hero. But maybe it was his destiny to be a villain because even though he was a hero, he was presented as a villain.

This became so much that even Long Yifan started to believe himself as a villain.

But a little girl was able to look through this disguise and extended her hand towards her.

Alas, he couldn’t hold it and only watched as she walked away from his life.

Guess being a villain is his destiny, so it’s better to continue to pretend. No one would care and no one would see through his disguise like the girl anyway...

Long Yifan’s phone rang and he picked it up,

"Yifan did you see those photos of goddess Gu?"

"Hm..."

"Yifan don’t be harsh on goddess Gu! Those photos are morphed!"

"Okay." Long Yifan said in an uncaring tone.

Gu Jin was bedridden for 4 days.

In these 4 days, the elders of the alchemy tower came to visit her and scolded her for being careless.

After they left the head butler started to nag Gu Jin. Calling her stupid and not knowing how to take care.

"What are you smiling at? Are you a kid? You are still smiling even after getting a fever? How did you even have a fever? Truly, one day my hair will turn completely white just to ensure your well-being."
