The Mighty Mage -
Chapter 138: Improved Cultivation
Chapter 138: Chapter 138: Improved Cultivation
The Red Mana inside her seemed to drink in the flames, growing stronger and more vibrant.
Suddenly a familiar small red color semi-circular ball flew and shot up to the Green Mana.
Seeing this Gu Jin was surprised and couldn’t help but say to Red Mana,
"Hey, your particle has been stolen by the Green Mana."
But the Red Mana didn’t answer instead it stopped vibrating.
Gu Jin relaxed.
Just now she didn’t realize that her entire body was aching until the pressure vanished.
Gu Jin could only sigh.
The landscape around her had changed subtly; the colors seemed richer, the air more alive.
Gu Jin knew that she didn’t have the time to explore the forest and tried to enter her space.
However, to Gu Jin’s dismay, she wasn’t able to.
"Master you can put things but not enter the space." The space said.
Gu Jin nodded.
Looking at the strange vegetation, a thought appeared in Gu Jin’s mind and she started to collect the strange herbs as well as the strange crystals.
She also didn’t forget to ask the space,
"Where am I?"
"Master it’s heaven’s secret..."
"Bullsh*t." Gu Jin spat coldly.
The space turned silent and Gu Jin continued,
"Have you taken me for a fool? Do you think I don’t know that the thing called Heaven’s secret exists only in XinXia cultivation world-like thing?"
The space was speechless.
In its heart though the space was crying.
’Why does everyone get an innocent and sweet master, while it on the other hand has such a sharp master!’
Gu Jin took a deep breath and said in a calm tone,
"It’s better if you tell me what is going on and I promise to not throw you here."
"Master!" The space was stunned by Gu Jin’s words.
Throw him away?
Gu Jin chuckled,
"Or else? Do you think I will let an untrustworthy artifact with me?"
"Master without me your cultivation will slow down." The space warned sounding particularly offended.
Gu Jin rolled her eyes,
"Oh? Let’s see. Even if my cultivation slows down, I can still cultivate. You are only a catalyst. Even if I throw you away, only the speed will be affected."
Hearing the ruthlessness in Gu Jin’s tone, the space was scared and said,
"Alright! Alright! Don’t be angry! I will tell you!"
Gu Jin finally stopped threatening the space and waited for its answer.
"It’s...its...Its..."
As if understanding something Gu Jin asked,
"Don’t tell me you don’t know."
"Hehe..." The space didn’t agree or disagree.
Gu Jin stopped and asked in a low voice,
"So you mean to say that you don’t know where we are and the reason why you asked me to swim to this spot in the spatial rift was because you thought it was familar?"
The space remained quiet.
Gu Jin chuckled. Her chuckle was filled with coldness.
The space thought that it would be better to keep its mouth shut and didn’t answer Gu Jin, no matter what question she asked.
Gu Jin too didn’t ask and could only collect the herbs.
After 2 hours, Gu Jin finally stopped and when she turned around, she saw a strange scene.
The herbs that she had collected were regrowing at an astonishing rate, replenishing the forest floor as if she had never touched them.
This place truly defied all known rules of nature, both in its beauty and its regenerative abilities.
Gu Jin shook her head in wonder and exasperation.
"I guess there’s no shortage of resources here."
Suddenly Gu Jin thought of something.
Is the time in this place 3 or 4 times faster?
So if she cultivates in this place, she could potentially make significant progress in a short period.
The realization was both exciting and daunting.
Gu Jin knew she needed to take advantage of this opportunity but also understood the importance of caution in such an unfamiliar environment.
...
Back at the camp, the team followed the direction indicated by the Rift Tracker.
Just as the team had taken 5 to 6 steps, the signal went off.
"What?" Feng Tian was surprised.
"Does something happen?" Zhang Wei asked cautiously.
"The tracker has lost the signal."
The Shadow Fang members were instantly worried.
Feng Tian checked the Rift Tracker, its light flickering uncertainly.
"This shouldn’t be happening," he muttered, tapping the device in frustration.
Xu Mingtao frowned.
"It might be interference from the chaotic energies of the rift. We need to recalibrate."
..........
In the Unknown Island.
Gu Jin had already started to cultivate. Before cultivating she didn’t forget to say to the space,
"Remind me when one day passes, I will perform acupuncture on Jasmine."
"Okay, master."
.........
In Long Yifan’s Mansion.
"Master we have lost connection with Young Miss and Miss Gu." The head butler informed anxiously.
Long Yifan who was dealing with some matters, paused and motioned the head butler to pass the connection bead to him.
After personally checking, Long Yifan’s face darkened for a second, however within a minute he composed himself and said,
"Okay, you leave."
The head butler almost wanted to die from anxiety!
He wanted to shout at Long Yifan and say,
’Your sister is kidnapped or might be in danger, how can you still be relaxed.’
The worst possibility was, that Gu Jin was a spy implanted by Long Yifan’s enemy. She took away their Young Miss and most likely used their Young Miss to her(Gu Jin’s) advantage.
However, the head butler knew that he didn’t have the right to interfere and he could only nod and leave the study room.
Once the head butler left, Long Yifan closed his eyes and muttered,
"Don’t break my trust."
He then sat in the lotus position and started to chant some spells.
After a while his face changed and his expression worsened.
Long Yifan opened his eyes and stood up.
He walked up to one of the shelves and took out a scroll.
After hesitating for a long time he put the scroll back and muttered,
"No. I should trust her...Let’s wait for a day and see the result."
...........
In the Camp.
"Super Mage Feng did the tracker sense any signal?" Zhang Wei asked worriedly.
Five hours have passed since Gu Jin vanished.
"Not yet." Feng Tian said as he looked at the compass.
Zhang Wei and the rest of the team members were anxious.
It was night now.
God knows in which dimension or place Gu Jin was.
The more time they take the lesser the chances of survival for Gu Jin...
By now Liu Sunhao had calmed down. Except for being more silent than before, he didn’t seem to have changed much.
"Why don’t you guys go and eat something if you continue to stare at the compass and don’t eat anything, then god knows how you will able to fight when you track down your little friend." Super Mage Feng said in a rare moment of kindness.
Just as Zhang Wei was about to decline, Tang Guan stood up and said,
"Fine. I will go and bring something for everyone to eat."
............
In the Unknown Island.
Gu Jin finished the acupuncture and sighed.
Today was her 360th day there.
A year was about to pass. Yet what surprised her was how few changes her body had.
Her height was the same, her weight was the same and even her condition was the same. Except for the time that was passing quickly, there was hardly anything that had changed.
In these 360 days, Gu Jin cultivated most of the time.
Her Dark Fire Element didn’t have progress and she was still at Tier 3 of the Primary Rank. But that was what was visible on the surface.
"Master once you get through to primary rank after absorbing a Solar Vein, you will be able to directly advance to Intermediate Rank Tier 2."
It was what space had told her.
Her Plant Element had reached Intermediate Rank Tier 3 and Gu Jin knew that she needed resources to break through to Advance Rank.
As for her Fire Element, she had reached Tier 2 of the Primary Rank.
For Gu Jin, the result wasn’t satisfactory at all. But remembering how she was focused on her alchemy too and had reached the Yellow Rank Intermediate Stage, Gu Jin didn’t push herself too much.
At the same time, she carried on with Jasmine’s treatment every day.
Gu Jin now had too many pills in her space.
As for her herbs?
Thanks to the space she was able to cultivate the herbs inside and outside the space.
Gu Jin guessed that time was flowing faster on the island she was and she wanted to fully utilize it.
Sadly though she didn’t have the resources to advance.
One thing that surprised Gu Jin was that, except for her, there was almost no one present on that island.
In the first few months, Gu Jin tried to find the exit and even tried to enter the sea in front of her, but for some reason, she wasn’t able to enter at all!
