When he came back to his senses he realized how weak he looked just now. Hating himself for being weak, Xiang Li glared at Su Jin and said in a stern voice,

"Hey boy listen..."

But before he could finish his words, Gu Jin interrupted him,

"No. You listen Mister...whatever. You don’t have the right to act all nice while making things difficult for us and in the name of compensation, taking advantage of us.

You don’t have the right to look at any of the female members of my group in the lustful way you did earlier. I swear that if you dare to keep looking at Xu Mingtao or any other girl like that again, I will gouge your eyes out."

The atmosphere turned chilly.

All the people present were stunned by Su Jin’s threat.

He directly told Xiang Li to f*ck off. And his speech...my god! It was as if a King was talking with some ants.

Xiang Li felt his back turning cold.

He knows this aura very well. He was fortunate enough to once meet a General of the Undercity.

At that time the General’s aura was so powerful that Xiang Li couldn’t even stare at him. And coincidentally Gu Jin’s aura matched the General’s aura.

Now he was even more sure that Su Jin aka Gu Jin belonged to some powerful military family or had some connection with the military family.

He instantly turned to leave. All the previous thoughts of teaching Shadow Fangs or Xu Mingtao a lesson seemed to have faded away.

Once Xiang Li left, the atmosphere turned back to normal and Gu Jin returned to her original cold self.

Liu Sunhao couldn’t hold himself and threw his arms around his shoulder as he said,

"Bro you nailed it! Your aura just now was too amazing! And why did you look so cool just now? If I was a girl I would have definitely fallen in love with you!"

Xu Mingtao giggled and pushed Liu Sunhao to make a place for herself and said,

"Brother Jin you looked so handsome just now! I thought I couldn’t fall in love with you anymore, but after seeing this side of you I think I have fallen into the abyss of love!"

Before Gu Jin could push her, Tang Guan pushed Gu Jin to one side and said cooly,

"I am grateful that you took side for us, but do you know what trouble we will be in if that man wants to make things difficult for us?"

Gu Jin looked at Tang Guan coldly. Just now she almost staggered.

She was surprised in her heart that she had subconsciously let her guard down.

How could these groups make her feel safe?

But Tang Guan’s push just now reminded her that instead of finding the reason she should focus on her security more.

"Apologize." Zhang Wei’s loud voice attracted everyone’s attention.

Apologize?

Gu Jin shifted her gaze and saw that Zhang Wei was looking in her direction.

Did he find her actions and words wrong too?

Gu Jin clenched her hand. She was determined not to let anyone harm her and hence she was about to retort when Zhang Wei looked away from Gu Jin and looked at Tang Guan sharply,

"Apologize."

"But I..." Tang Guan knew that the leader was asking him to apologize but he couldn’t believe that a new member, Zhang Wei was asking him to apologize.

However, when he remembered Zhang Wei’s self-righteous nature, Tang Guan knew he shouldn’t hold any resentment.

"No excuses. Just now you pushed Su Jin so hard, can I know why?"

Tang Guan was tongue-tied. It was then that he realized that in jealousy he had harshly pushed Gu Jin away.

Realizing his mistake he lowered his head and said,

"I am sorry."

Gu Jin stared at Zhang Wei for a few moments, before leaving.

She didn’t reply to Tang Guan at all.

Whatever the reason was, Tang Guan shouldn’t push her just because of a minor disagreement.

According to Gu Jin, the reason why Tang Guan had pushed her away was because she had put the team in even more danger by threatening Xiang Li.

Once Gu Jin left, Liu Sunhao and Yi Ran followed behind.

Xu Mingtao snorted and said in a cold tone,

"Some people truly can’t conduct themselves."

Saying so she left the area too.

Zhang Wei looked at Tang Guan whose head was still lowered and said in a helpless tone,

"What you did just now was wrong. Even though you were jealous, you should have remembered the fact that Su Jin helped us out."

Tang Guan finally looked up, his eyes were slightly red as he said,

"You know I can’t hear those words, right? I love Mingtao, but she doesn’t and her recent behavior of hanging out with that Su guy is only making me anxious.

That Su guy is good too! He keeps on seducing my Mingtao!"

Zhang Wei shook his head,

"You are taking everything in the wrong direction. It is not Su Jin who is making you feel anxious. It is Xu Mingtao’s flirting that is triggering you.

Before Su Jin appeared, Mingtao was always indifferent to every boy other than you and Sunhao. But now when you are seeing how Mingtao is getting attracted to Jin, you are becoming anxious.

However, I must remind you, not once has Su Jin ever flirted back with Mingtao. This means he wasn’t at fault in the first place.

And even if he flirted back, you don’t have the right to interfere considering that you don’t have any official relationship with Mingtao and Su Jin doesn’t know anything.

Don’t blame your incompetence to keep your wife with you on others."

After giving a piece of advice Zhang Wei left too.

Tang Guan was shocked by Leader Zhang’s words and stood there for a minute or two before following him.

With each step Tang Guan was taking, he realized how wrong he was about Su Jin.

First, he wrongly thought of Su Jin as a cold-hearted guy, and then he thought of him as a vixen too....

It was too embarrassing that he had wronged the same guy two times.

Once the day ends he would definitely go and apologize to him in person!

Gu Jin wasn’t aware of the ups and downs and was focused on improving her combat power.

As time passed the beast attacking Section A’s wall was increasing even more.

The majority of them were Catalope and Mutated Red-Eyed Deers. There were also some other beasts but their level wasn’t too high so Gu Jin was able to defeat them after using her brain and power.

When the clock struck 12 am, all the mercenary was called back and the soldier took over.

After taking a shower(Gu Jin took her shower in space), Gu Jin was making her bed when she heard a slight cough.

Gu Jin turned around only to find Tang Guan standing some distance away from her.

She raised an eyebrow as if asking him what does he want.

"I...I am sorry for what I said earlier. I am also sorry that behaved so harshly, enough you weren’t at fault!"

Gu Jin looked at the sincerity in Tang Guan’s eyes and said in a cold tone,

"Fine."

Then she returned to making her bed.

Tang Guan was a bit anxious and suddenly he said,

"Um, do you have a minute? I want to talk with you..."

Gu Jin replied back in a sharp tone,

"I am tired."

"I can compensate! Just give me 10 minutes and I will...I will give you top-class pills." Tang Guan tried to tempt her.

He wanted to tell Su Jin aka Gu Jin about his and Xu Mingtao’s past relationship so that she would back out and not harbor any thoughts about Xu Mingtao.

"I don’t take bribery!" Gu Jin said nonchalantly.

"I will give you Heaven Rank Pill!" Tang Guan tried again but Gu Jin directly ignored him.

"Then how about...."

Just like Tang Guan proposed various things from weapons to arrays, from special stones to special cultivation places, but Gu Jin remained unmoved.

On the other hand, Gu Jin was feeling suspicious. Isn’t Tang Guan a normal member of the small mercenary group? How could he offer such things for just 10 minutes from his tone it is clear he has a lot of top resources.

Tang Guan could only leave unwillingly.

Gu Jin waited for everyone to sleep before entering her space.
