The Mightiest Little Master of Metaphysics -
Chapter 56: Yin Cha Really Came
Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Yin Cha Really Came
Yun Ying widened her eyes, feeling a little shocked.
"I didn’t mean to call myself a ’Heavenly Girl’, it’s what others call me."
"That’s for the best. Your aptitude is limited, you won’t become a ’Heavenly Girl’. Don’t covet what doesn’t belong to you."
The Yin Cha finished speaking and turned to Yun Qi, "Little friend Yun Qi, is there anything else for me?"
"Nope, bye-bye." Yun Qi squinted her eyes and waved her hand at him.
The Yin Cha uttered a "hmm", nodded his head, and in an instant, the black fog disappeared.
"You can turn on the lights now, uncle." The sweet voice dispelled the fear that had shrouded everyone’s hearts.
Only then did Yun Qiuce react and quickly turned on all the lights in the hallway.
The bright lights made everyone temporarily unable to adapt, shielding their eyes with their hands.
It took quite a while before everyone opened their eyes, exchanging glances.
It was as if what just happened was merely a dream.
However, the lingering cold and eerie atmosphere in the room reminded them that everything that happened was real.
The Yin Cha truly came.
After a long time, Master Fang approached Yun Qi and bowed respectfully, "Little friend Yun Qi, I apologize for any offenses. I hope you won’t mind."
Yun Qi tilted her head, smiling sweetly, "I won’t mind. My master once said that to accomplish great things, one must not be bogged down by insignificant people and matters."
Master Fang nodded in shame, although he suspected that the insignificant people and matters Yun Qi referred to might include them.
But at this point, he could only silently accept it.
Seeing that Master Fang did so, the others could only clasp their hands and apologize too.
The Old Master snorted coldly, "If there’s nothing else, you can leave now."
After everyone left, only the Yun Family was left in the living room.
Yun Ying seemed a bit stunned, the outcome was completely unexpected for her. She stared blankly at the Old Master, "Grandpa..."
"Yun Ying," the Old Master sighed, "you..."
He didn’t continue, standing up and leading Yun Qi away.
Yun Ying watched her grandfather’s hunched back, once again feeling his deep disappointment in her.
Grandfather probably won’t like her anymore.
The Old Master led Yun Qi to his room, and the two of them were silent for a long time.
Grandfather said nothing, and Yun Qi simply looked at him without speaking.
Finally, the Old Master spoke, "Little Qi, be honest with Grandpa, how did you manage to invite the Yin?"
"I learned it from my master, Taoist Wu You."
The Old Master was silent, then suddenly chuckled, "Taoist Wu You has that kind of skill? Don’t kid Grandpa; Taoist Wu You is known for his decent spells but terrible luck. I’ve known him for decades, and whenever he invites the Yin, not a single Yin Cha pays him any attention."
"Huh?" Yun Qi looked up innocently at the sky, surprised that her master’s reputation was so poor!
"I taught myself." Yun Qi said honestly.
As long as someone else didn’t teach, it was self-learned.
It wasn’t exactly lying either.
The Old Master nodded, "Alright, you’re a capable one, Grandpa believes in you."
"Grandpa, is sister unhappy?" Yun Qi curiously blinked her eyes.
"It’s not related to you. Before, she was the only girl in the family, everyone spoiled and indulged her, not realizing that it made her heart small. Unable to accommodate others, she’d eventually cause trouble even without you."
Yun Qi, whether she understood or not, responded disinterestedly with an "oh."
Then she patted her stomach, "Grandpa, can we eat now?"
"Oh, I’ll have the kitchen prepare it right away. It’s all those people’s fault for leaving our little Qi hungry." Grandpa squinted his eyes, finally smiling.
