Chapter 201: Chapter 197 Directly Kill It_3
"Then what about going to kindergarten? You’ve already spent a few years at Yuqing Temple, and if you don’t go to kindergarten, it’s difficult to go directly to primary school in the future without a kindergarten diploma."
Yun Qi looked up at the sky and seriously wondered what a kindergarten diploma was.
Unable to figure it out, she simply stopped thinking about it.
"No need to worry! Hu Ju said they can arrange for me to attend the exclusive kindergarten for the 49th Bureau. The kids there are super cute!"
Yun Qi’s big eyes sparkled, showing her eager anticipation for kindergarten life.
"Cute, my ghost! Look at your 49th Bureau employees..." Yun Qiuce pointed with a fork, trying to find the weirdest among them.
He happened to spot a man wrapped in bandages all over, looking like a mummy, holding the hand of a little boy who seemed even younger than Yun Qi, about three years old at most.
The little boy had his back to him but looked normal, wearing neat and clean clothes—a very stylish blue children’s suit, with a hat on his head and a tie at his neck, looking very much like a little gentleman from Yun Qiuce’s perspective.
"Wow, there’s actually a normal child in the 49th Bureau," Yun Qiuce chuckled.
The little boy seemed to have heard Yun Qiuce and turned around, giving him a standard cute smile.
The well-versed Yun Qiuce was instantly so shocked that he had a Buddha-ascending, Buddha-descending moment.
The little boy was astonishingly a skeleton. His small mouth pulled back, revealing neat white teeth, and his two large eye sockets were like black holes, yet you could see a bit of emotion in them.
"Uh ha—uh ha." The Little Skeleton’s drafty mouth was huffing and puffing as if trying to say something.
Yun Qiuce was dumbfounded, pointing to himself with his finger.
The Little Skeleton nodded heavily, then broke free of the man’s hand, danced his way to Yun Qiuce, "Uh ha, uh ha!"
His mouth continued muttering nonstop, extending a long, bony finger to point at Yun Qiuce’s pasta, then stuffing the bone finger into his mouth, with his hollow eyes staring directly at the plate.
Yun Qiuce thought he must be crazy; he actually understood what the Little Skeleton meant—the little ghost was eyeing his pasta.
If he were a living being, drool would already be pooling on the floor by now.
Without thinking, Yun Qiuce guarded his food, "No way, this is mine, you can’t have it."
It wasn’t that he was stingy about the food; he just couldn’t handle eating the same food as a skeleton.
"Ha—" The tone dropped, a clear indication of disappointment, and then the Little Skeleton’s head drooped down, with a pitiful look even seeping from his dark eye sockets.
Yun Qiuce suddenly felt bad; this expression on the Little Skeleton made him feel like a jerk who bullies kids.
The mummy man who had been holding the Little Skeleton came over, even though he was wrapped in bandages all over, he wore a dark blue jacket over them, had a black hat on, and looked like a man with a firm middle-aged aura.
"Sorry, this is my son; he couldn’t talk when he died," the mummy looked at the Little Skeleton, "Do you want pasta?"
"Yes!" The Little Skeleton lifted his head, his hollow eyes staring straight at the man.
Yun Qiuce could almost go mad; he again read an imploring, spoiled look from the child’s eye sockets.
"If you want to eat, I’ll buy you some, don’t take from the uncle."
"Yay!" The Little Skeleton’s hollow eyes "brightened," raising the corners of his mouth to show rows of white little teeth, as if feeling that wasn’t enough; he extended his two skeletal paws, cradled his little head, and cutely made a sunflower pose.
Yun Qiuce tugged at the corners of his mouth, feeling hopeless about this world where even little ghosts acted cute.
Yun Qi suddenly giggled and said, "Uncle, I want to go to the 49th Bureau kindergarten, just look at how cute this little brother is."
Yun Qiuce forced a grin, chuckling dryly, "cute, my ghost!"
The TV in the restaurant broadcasted a noisy sound.
Yun Qiuce followed the sound with his eyes; it was an entertainment news segment about the popular young star Bai Ying falling off a horse while recording a show, forcing a halt in recording. The broadcast showed his fans blocking the hospital, disrupting its normal operations.
Bai Ying is currently the most famous traffic star, and Yun Qiuce, feeling bored, checked his phone for news and saw that everyone on the forums was discussing it.
The main tone was scolding Bai Ying’s brainless fans for disrupting the hospital and ruining Bai Ying’s reputation.
"Honestly, Bai Ying should quit; capital can’t keep propping up a loser forever!"
"Bai Ying is really unlucky; it’s not an exaggeration to call him poison in the entertainment industry."
"Damn, my favorite show, why did they have to invite him? Don’t they know he’s notoriously unlucky, whoever invites him is sure to suffer!"
"Who are you to say that about my brother? My brother isn’t unlucky."
"Oh, your brother isn’t unlucky? He’s like paraquat in the entertainment world, that’s known outside the circle, haha!"
...
Yun Qiuce quickly skimmed through the comments and curiously asked, "Yun Qi, look at this celebrity, it seems he’s always having bad luck, and it drags down the shows he’s involved with, is he cursed?"
Yun Qi looked at the TV, which was showing Bai Ying being lifted onto a stretcher.
"Nope, maybe he’s just naturally unlucky."
