Chapter 93: Goosebumps

Chapter-93

Elliana closed her eyes and thought about the music playing in her mind like she always does.

"Things have, never gone my way.

As days go by, another day,

I am waiting for someone to come by,

Hold onto me tight and save me from what is to come ahead,"

Elliana sang the first part of her song, shocking everyone. They felt dazed. Goosebumps rose on everyone’s skin as they looked at the girl, whose hair was now flailing without any fan pointed her way.

She looked like an angel right now, singing the song of pain and longing.

They literally left everything just to hear her. There was pin-drop silence in the hall.

Arohi looked at her PlayStation and felt she could play out something matching the melody and played soft beats that would go well with the kind of sing Elliana was singing.

She looked at Elliana, who was amazing everyone with her soft sweet voice, and smiled. The girl was indeed a born talent.

Since Arohi played the music, the song’s beauty was enhanced even more.

"There are a thousand things to know,

Forever is a lie; all I want is this day,

Ah, ah, ah, haaaaaaaaaaaa,

Come save me, come protect me,

I am waiting for someone to come by,"

Elliana took a deep breath and changed the verse according to the beats playing in the background. She was just singing mildly earlier because she didn’t want to overdo it, but now that Arohi played the beats, the wish to sing more illuminated in her heart like sunlight, and she couldn’t control herself anymore.

"It’s about to fall down,

I am a mess; you couldn’t come for,

It was just my wishful thinking, probably all for me.

You came by but disappeared without a trace. It was in my dreams.

I am breaking down.

End this misery.

Do me a last favourrrrrrrrrrrrr

Stay in my memoriesssssssssssssss

Come save and protect meeeeeeeeeeee,"

Elliana pulled all the high notes with all her heart, and the windows of the hall trembled. The wind entered the room, making the curtains flail wildly, making everyone look around in shock.

Was it really a coincidence? The storm outside? It appeared right when Elliana started singing and was giving her song the kind of destruction it needed.

They looked at the girl, who was still singing, without a care in the world, purely oblivious to everything happening around her. What the hell was this?

After singing for only two minutes, Elliana ended the song and opened her eyes.

She looked at everyone in hope. The hall was silent, and she felt disappointed. Maybe she didn’t do well. Melony was right. She shouldn’t have tried and humiliated herself.

Meanwhile, Sebastian had entered the school venue because he needed to talk to the principal. The principal acted like a cunning fox and deliberately called the youngest prince at a time like this because he wanted to make him the chief guest of the party.

"Why are you scowling so much, sir? Aren’t you happy that you’ll get to keep a look at Princess? You haven’t even seen what she looks like," Lucas said.

Sebastian didn’t answer him and kept walking.

"Miss Zoya called earlier and said she resembled the late queen," Lucas said, and this indeed got a reaction from the Prince.

Sebastian paused and looked at Lucas with a neutral expression, but his eyes held a clear warning.

One more word from Lucas, and he will find himself thrown out of the palace.

"Don’t ever compare that human girl with my mother. She is a good girl, probably innocent too, but nowhere would she ever come near my mother," Sebastian’s voice was loud and clear, and Lucas bowed in submission.

"I am sorry, sir. Please pardon my words," Lucas said, and Sebastian was about to start walking again when he heard the voice.

This beautiful voice. Sebastian’s eyes widened.

He stumbled back in shock, and Lucas quickly held him.

"Sir, are you okay? Should I bring the blood bag from the car?" Lucas looked at his prince in concern, and Sebastian stood straight.

"I am fine," Sebastian said, and with his inhumane speed of light, he followed the voice all the way to the event hall.

He gulped and looked at the girl singing with all her heart in front of him. This voice. It resembles so much the voice he had heard all those years back when he was in the humans’ kingdom.

Was the girl in front of him the same girl who sang that song? The lyrics weren’t the same, but this tone and voice were definitely almost the same. It just sounded like the matured and modified version of the same voice.

He has heard so many concerts and gone to so many singing competitions just in search of this particular voice.

Why? Because this voice was the one who calmed her heart when he felt like everything was going wrong for him. His grandfather had thrown him into another palace for some unknown reason after his mother died, and his family was conspiring against him.

He had gone to the hunter’s bloodline kingdom to see the security because he knew he needed to know about all the things to plan an attack, along with gathering more force.

It wasn’t the first time he visited the place. He had done quite a lot of times, but that particular day, he couldn’t do anything. He had gone to search, but he just sat outside the forest, where the girl was singing, afraid she would run away.

But she did run away. He tried to find her. This was the first time someone’s voice calmed his heart like this. Her voice was like cold snowflakes to his burning heart. That day, he returned to his palace without doing anything further. He couldn’t think of revenge anymore that day.

The song ended, and Sebastian stood rooted to his place. She was looking ethereal today. He knew she was beautiful. He sees it daily, even when she doesn’t try.

Today, she looked like the queen of aphrodisiac. She was both alluring and classy at the same time.

He looked at the girl, that had an awkward look on her face since everyone was so quiet, and looked at his feet before smiling inside his mask.

Elliana sighed and smiled. Well, at least she tried. She turned off the mic and was about to turn when she heard someone clapping. She turned to look at that one person who liked her song. His face was hidden as he was walking towards her because of the dim lights.

Sebastian’s loud clapping brought everyone out of their daze, and they looked at the girl who had stopped singing. Soon the hall hollered with a loud round of applause. It was even bigger and grander than the one Madeline received.

Boys started hooting for her, and girls were screaming for more.

Elliana’s eyes brimmed with tears, but before a tear could drop from her eyes.

The man who clapped for her the first thing jumped on the stage and held her close, capturing her tear before it could fall.

Lucas, who was shocked by the prince’s sudden departure, finally reached the hall and looked at the scene unfolding in front of him with a smile.

’Prince is just delusional. Princess indeed looks like a queen today,’ Lucas thought in his head after making sure his mental barrier was up so that his prince don’t hear his thoughts and come for his throat.

Seeing the man in front of her, and the familiar scent, Elliana stood frozen in her place. Did she imagine it, or was he really here?

Aditya’s, Daniel’s, and Alcinder’s gaze was fixated on the man who jumped on the stage in front of everyone so elegantly.

Daniel was about to go when he noticed how close that man was standing to Elliana and how shocked she looked when Alcinder held his hand.

"He is not someone you can mess with," Alcinder said.

"What do you mean? Even if he is a vampire, we can clearly -"

"He is probably more dangerous than you can imagine. I have never felt that kind of aura coming from anyone. Not even the royals," Alcinder was confused about this man.

Since it was a masquerade party, almost everyone was wearing a mask, so it wasn’t a surprise that he was wearing one too. The point was, why did he jump on the stage? Was it because of how beautiful Elliana sang? Or was there some other reason?

Alcinder’s gaze moved to Elliana. Though she was shocked, she didn’t look creeped out. She had taken her mask off to sing properly, and the expression on her face didn’t scream uneasiness.

She was just shocked. The way this man held Elliana’s tears in his hand was also quite mysterious. He was a vampire for sure, and a very powerful one at that.

Does Elliana know him? He thought.
