Chapter 88: A witch’s conspiracy
Chapter-88
"Princess, you are back," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana nodded at her with a polite smile, walking straight to her room.
"Is everything okay with her?" Miss Zoya looked at the chef, who shrugged.
This was the first time the princess didn’t even utter a word and left with a smile.
"She must be tired. Maybe she is not so fond of shopping," Chef suggested and walked back to the kitchen before placing the cake back into the fridge that he had prepared just for the princess.
Elliana rushed to her room and closed the door.
As soon as she did that, Yaretzi immediately appeared, and Elliana sighed.
"Why were you late today? Don’t you know how important your training is? What happened so severely that your powers started going out of control, hmm? If I hadn’t been notified about it and hadn’t controlled it, you would have told everyone that you have special powers," Yaretzi looked at her in anger, but seeing her neutral expression, she paused.
Something severe must’ve happened for her to feel that kind of anger and betrayal.
Did someone bully her again?
"What happened?" Yaretzi asked, and Elliana shook her head.
She sat on the bed and covered her face with her hands.
Her mind still couldn’t believe that Aditya turned out like this. She could’ve thought about anyone but Aditya?
How could he do that? How could he smile and pretend like he cares for her when he has been giving orders to beat her behind her back?
After all the time she confessed her attraction to him, and he said he would be a friend to her even after everything, how could he do that? If he had such problems with his presence, he could’ve mentioned it, and she would’ve tried her best not to appear in front of him.
But this? He stooped this low? No wonder he chose Madeline as his partner. Birds of the same feathers flock together, no? Elliana’s body trembled as all the happy moments she had with Aditya started tainting with black ink.
Everything was a lie. His smiles, his words of helping her, his motivation and support, everything was fake.
Yaretzi felt her anger taking another level, and she was about to call Elliana to stop thinking about whatever she was thinking when she heard a rumbling sound outside.
"Aaaaah!" Elliana stood and lifted the bed in pure anger, her hair flailing in the air as if electricity was running through them.
Yaretzi took a step back in fear.
"El-Elliana," Yaretzi fell backward on the carpet in pure shock as she looked at the girl, whose eyes were changing colors.
Yaretzi looked around, trying to find a way to get Elliana out of this zone. Her heart was filled with horror as she looked at the girl who had no sense of control of her powers.
"I won’t let this go easily. Gone are the days when I used to be a puppet to them. I will find my mom myself. I won’t bear their bullying anymore. This is the last time they got the upper hand on me. This is the last time I will believe everyone around me. No one is worth believing! No one believes me, and I will be the same starting today!" Elliana thought repeatedly.
"Elliana! What are you doing!" Yaretzi shouted the voice in Elliana’s mind, and Elliana, who was deep in her thoughts, looked at her, her eyes not changing colors, and Yaretzi gulped.
The amount of anger and change Elliana was showing wasn’t optimum in any case.
This could either turn bad or good.
Either she will be freed from the control of her anger, or she will try to kill Yaretzi. But she can’t wait to see her end either.
Yaretzi’s hands trembled as she lifted her hand to perform the spells under the influence of Elliana’s anguish that was making the aura around her full of vibes of revenge and negativity.
"I order Elliana Heart to -"
"What are you ordering, my sweet angel, for?" Yaretzi heard a voice and was shocked.
She looked around to locate the man. Who was it? Who has the power to stop a spell like that? Yaretzi gulped and soon found the man appearing right in front of Elliana.
"Elliana, calm down," Nath looked into the girl’s eyes which were amber with little tints of violet and sighed.
He took a deep breath before holding her hand and pulling her close for a hug.
"I know what made you so sad. Don’t worry. I won’t let anything happen to you. I wasn’t there earlier, but I’m here now. Why are you getting so angry? Hmm? Why do you feel so betrayed? Don’t you have an entire group of people who are ready to die for you?" Nath asked, and Elliana, who was feeling vulnerable, broke into a sob.
Her hands went around him as she fisted his cloak, and he sighed.
"Why do they do this to me, Nath?" Elliana broke out into a fit of crying, and Nath’s heart ached painfully for her.
"Why does my species hate me so much? I never wanted to be in the kingdom. Why did my mom abandon me? Nothing like this would’ve happened to me if I hadn’t been left on that kingdom door all those years ago. I can’t even remember anything! Why did she give birth to me if she wanted to abandon me like this?" Elliana asked one after the other.
Nath didn’t have an answer to her questions. Even when he knew what the truth was, he wasn’t allowed to speak any of it, and it broke his heart that the girl he cared so much about was in so much pain.
"They hate you because they can’t bear your aura. They are jealous of your presence. You have a presence that makes them cower away," Nath smoothed her hair with his hands.
"And why do you need their appreciation in the first place? Don’t you have me? Your team? Your team with the wolves? This witch? And now the vampire kingdom too?" Nath cupped her cheeks before he turned to Yaretzi, who was still shocked as hell.
"Sir, Nath," Yaretzi whispered.
He was one of the people from the higher-ups of the West kingdom. Not many people were allowed to meet these people because of their aura and their powers.
Some say that if you are of a lower level, you won’t even be able to see their faces, let alone look into their eyes.
For a man of this level, coming and meeting Elliana, what was going on? Have the other witches already heard about her?
But when she met Elliana, the girl didn’t have much knowledge about witches, which means either he has told her the truth recently, or he was hiding under some other pretense.
"Sorry for interrupting your tutoring session, Miss Yaretzi. I am entrusting my friend to you. She is someone who helped me when I was feeling too low and didn’t want to live. She is really close to my heart," Nath smiled at Elliana before sighing.
"I hope I won’t hear about any mistakes when it comes to her. Maybe she caught a thing from me or two, and that’s exactly how she awakened her chakra control," Nath explained, and Yaretzi nodded in understanding.
He skillfully explained how important Elliana was while keeping his pretense and hiding his identity of being one of the strongest witches.
Yaretzi looked at Elliana observantly, who was still wrapped between Nath’s arms.
One thing was for sure; this girl was not some normal human.
There is no way so many witches are behind this girl, and judging from Nath’s gaze, that looks a bit too fake. This is not something easily explainable, either.
The chances are, they need her for some kind of spell, or no way these level 9 and 10 witches would be interested in this human, who has a few mysterious powers for some unknown reason.
