Chapter 552: Voice training

"How is she?" Nathaniel walked to Sebastian when he saw Elliana walking to the other side at some distance.

Sebastian looked at the back of his girl and sighed.

"She will be fine," He said, and Nathaniel hummed before he placed his hand on Sebastian’s shoulders.

"Don’t worry. We will find a way through it too. There are a few more things that Misha wanted to tell us but couldn’t because of some obvious reasons. Would you like to come and hear them?" Nathaniel asked.

"Let me call, Princess -"

"Let her be. It’s better if we hear it without her. This might be bad too," Nathaniel indicated towards the fact that there might be no other option to save her and he definitely didn’t want her to hear it.

Sebastian could see that Nathaniel was taking things hard too. After all, the man was doing everything in his power to protect her.

They walked back to the head base where Misha was sitting, her eyes still moist from all the crying.

Queen Azura joined them shortly, her gaze stern as she probably trained her emotions to not spill in front of the strangers.

"Tell us everything," Nathaniel said, and Misha nodded.

She looked around. Seeing Elliana wasn’t there, she bit her lower lip before sighing.

"The two most important locks are still there on the siren powers. They will try to drain her of her powers, her Magna during the unlocking process. However, it doesn’t mean we need to keep them there until the last day. The sooner they are unlocked, the better," Misha paused.

"What do you mean?"Queen Azura asked.

"Once the siren powers inside her are unlocked, if the powers accept the witch powers inside her, the chances are they might try to find a middle way and save Elliana’s life while coming back to me," Misha explained.

Nathaniel hummed in understanding.

Misha was practically telling them that unlocking the locks would be more beneficial for her.

Queen Azura pressed her lips into a thin line.

On one hand, when unlocking her siren powers would put Elliana at more risk with her sister Azrael who was after the siren powers, on the other hand, it was needed to save her too.

It was like embracing death either way.

"But that’s not all," Misha said, and everyone looked at her again.

"Unlocking these locks would need immense Magna. If I do it, Elliana’s witch powers won’t have enough time to persuade the siren powers and they will end up taking Elliana’s life. That’s why it has to happen within herself," Misha said.

Nathaniel looked at Azura.

"Immense Magna? We can borrow some of Arizona’s magna because of the hairbrush that we stole," Nathaniel suggested.

Misha shook her head.

"That won’t be enough," She whispered, and Sebastian sighed.

"I will do it. You, witches, can share some of your Magna with my girl, right? I will ask the other witches to do the same. Will you take me to the clans, Nathaniel?" Sebastian asked, but the man pressed his lips into a thin line.

"It won’t be easy, King Sebastian. Don’t forget your past with the witches," Nathaniel said, and Sebastian hummed.

"I haven’t forgotten anything," Sebastian said, everyone immediately stopping when Elliana walked inside the head base.

The girl looked at everyone, obviously noticing how they went quiet.

"Why did you guys stop talking? I am not that weak that I won’t be able to take this news. So I have around 2 months left, right?" Elliana asked with a gentle hopeful smile.

Queen Azura immediately stood from her place and walked away. She couldn’t pretend that everything was okay when her heart was breaking for her daughter.

Elliana’s smile faltered a little before she sighed.

"Well, if that’s the case, we can’t waste this little time we have. We have to do everything in these two months.

Nathaniel, I am still going to battle tomorrow. I have to free my dad. Now it’s even more important than ever. My mom should at least have her husband with her to support her when I am gone forever since I -," Elliana whispered.

As soon as she said those words, a swoosh of wind came and her head whipped to the side.

Slap!

The sound echoed in the silent head base, making everyone look at Azura in disbelief.

"Queen Azura!" Sebastian stood from his place, but Elliana held her hand up to stop him from reacting as she looked into her mother’s eyes.

"Nothing is happening to you! I will not let anything happen to you. How dare you say you will be gone. I just found you. You are not going anywhere. Do you hear me? Nowhere!" Azura shouted, holding Elliana’s shoulders in a tight grip.

Elliana sighed.

"I don’t know. I don’t know if I should be sad that I got slapped, or if I should be happy that I got slapped by my mother for the first time," Elliana said, and Azura sniffed before she pulled her daughter into her arms, hugging her tight.

"Mark my words, Elliana. Nothing will happen to you," Azura looked Elliana straight in the eyes, making the girl smile.

Elliana looked at everyone and sighed.

"It’s not necessary to have a long life, it’s necessary to have a worthwhile life. Let’s deal with these things soon so that I can enjoy the remaining time while you guys find a solution for me, yeah? Misha, will you train me how to use my voice to enhance my powers?" Elliana asked, and Misha looked at others.

When no one said anything, Misha nodded and stood from her place.

"Let’s go,"

~~~~~~
"Is it like this?" Elliana asked.
Misha shook her head.
"Take a deep breath and raise your pitch. Try to cup your mouth with your hands until you learn to attack the target with the sound waves. Ask your powers to aid you until you perfect it. Do you get it?" Misha said, and Elliana nodded.
This was something they had been trying for more than three hours.
Elliana wiped the sweat forming on her forehead before taking a deep breath.
"Do it," Misha said, and Elliana did as she was told.
’Circe,’ Elliana whispered.
’We got you,’ Her powers said and Elliana nodded.
She looked at the distant tree and the large paper on the trunk with a hawk-like attention. Cupping her mouth, she inhaled as much air as she could before exhaling the air with a scream.
"Aaaaaaaa!" Elliana screamed, looking at the sound waves produced by her scream that went straight toward the tree.
However, before they could reach the trees, the waves distorted, making Misha sigh as Elliana was thrown backwards because of the reaction, her back hitting the free softly as Circe controlled the impact, making Elliana fall on the ground.
Misha looked at the girl with pity.
"It didn’t work again. Try harder," Misha whispered before she walked to the girl and gave her a glass of lukewarm water.
As soon as Elliana took a sip of water, she coughed, her pupils dilating as she looked at the drops of blood in her glass, her gaze meeting with Misha, who looked at her concerned.
"I think we should stop," Misha suggested.
Elliana slammed the glass on the rock before looking at the tree in front of her.
"Elliana never learned the phrase of giving up or stopping until she learns something. You better not mention it to my husband or mother," Elliana warned Misha before closing her eyes.
She raised her hand in the air, creating a shield around the area until the tree.
Misha looked at the girl, unsure of what she was doing.
"I didn’t want my power and waves to hurt any other natural habitat of the forest that was why I was trying to control the energy I was putting into this," Elliana said before she repeated the process.
Her eyes changed color to a natural violet before she looked at Misha.
"Step out of the zone," Elliana warned Misha, who looked at the girl, unsure.
If she was asking her to step outside, it only meant she was going to give it her all this time.
"Be careful. You can’t use too much Magna or you will lose more than you will gain. Keep in mind you have a battle tomorrow," Misha said and Elliana hummed before looking at the paper on the trunk of the paper.
She clicked her fingers and the corners of the large paper started to burn slowly, confusing Misha.
What was she doing? The siren queen wondered as she saw the girl cupping her mouth before she screamed again. However, it was a silent scream this time.
"Aaaaaa!"
Misha’s eyes widened when she noticed a weird sound wave produced from her silent scream. It wasn’t just a normal scream.
Her waves were sharper than the thinnest blades and Misha noticed how the tree broke into many tiny shards, and not only that, even the trees behind it started cracking and falling to the sides.
Misha looked at the girl who swayed on her feet and fell on her knees, breathing heavily.
"Was it good?" Elliana coughed more blood and Misha clenched her jaws before rushing inside the zone to help the girl.
This girl was really a lost cause. Her adaptation to the new things was worth writing in the history books.
Everything made sense to Misha. When Elliana used her powers to burn the paper, she directed her powers and showed her sound waves the direction which was becoming hard for her earlier.
Her quick-wittedness was remarkable. And maybe that was the reason even the strongest witches were planning and plotting to act against her.
Misha sighed and helped the girl up, taking her to the hotel where Nathaniel and Azura were staying briefly and waiting for her.
