Chapter 526: The true evil within

As soon as Elliana was sure that Sebastian left, she sat on her bed and looked at the time.

It had been 6 hours since she fainted on the battlefield and has been recuperating.

"Mr. Pablo," Elliana called Lucas, who was probably outside her door.

She just wanted to test if Mr. Marino really left those two for her safety, which she was sure was also to keep a gaze on her. She was hoping that Mr. Pablo would leave since he was the closest secretary to Mr. Marino.

However, as soon as she called him, the door was knocked before he entered the room.

"Yes, Princess," Lucas walked inside.

Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line.

"Can you please mix those juices into a glass for me? Please mix that powder well into the herbs. It will help me recuperate faster. My mom said it would put me to sleep, and I would be out for 4-5 hours. Since Mr. Marino has left, I don’t have anything to do. It’s better to heal in the meantime. I have to deal with my wolves too," Elliana said.

"Okay, Princess," Lucas walked to the table where her medicines and herbs were placed.

He did as Elliana told him to.

She deliberately told him about all her plans so he wouldn’t come to check up on her again and again.

"Here," Lucas gave her the mixture and she drank the bitter juice with an ugly expression.

"Eww, this is bad," Elliana coughed violently.

Seeing his princess coughing in distaste, Lucas, who had a little chocolate left in his pocket, looked at the sweet thing hesitantly.

Elliana’s gaze fell on the chocolate in his hand and she snatched it from his hands before he could ask her anything.

"Thank you," Elliana whispered before popping the chocolate in her mouth.

Lucas shook his head at her childish behavior before giving her a glass of clean water.

"I will sleep now. Please forbid anyone from entering the room. I will be literally passed out. And it’s dangerous. I hope you understand. I can trust you, right?" Elliana asked, and Lucas nodded to assure her.

"You can trust me, Princess. I will protect you with my life," Lucas stood straight, and Elliana smiled.

"You don’t need to keep standing. Just sit outside," Elliana said.

As soon as Lucas closed the door, Elliana took a deep breath.

’Will I be able to perform teleportation now?’ She asked Circe, who immediately nodded at her.

’We can. You have rested well, and it’s more than enough for our energy recuperation.

Honestly, I suggest you get back into your training program if you want to become more skillful,’ Circe said.

Elliana hummed before closing her eyes as she got into a proper outfit before imagining her teleportation to where her team was.

As soon as Elliana arrived, the first thing she saw was Marcello coaxing Glow about something, while the girl cried.

"What is going on here?" Elliana asked, surprising everyone with her presence.

"Elliana, what did you say to her? She hasn’t stopped crying ever since you left," Marcello walked to her, glaring at the girl.

Elliana, whose gaze was focused on Glow earlier, shifted to Marcello, and she quirked her brows, making him clear his throat.

She didn’t say anything, just looked at him, but her drooped eyes were enough for Marcello to step back from the girl, remembering what she did to those rogues just with a whisper of one word.

"What I mean to say is... What I mean is -" Marcello stuttered, but Elliana stepped aside, walking close to where Glow was.

As soon as Glow felt Elliana’s presence, without a word, she threw herself on the girl, hugging her as if her life depended on it.

Elliana sighed.

She knew what had put Glow in such a sorrowful mood, but she wasn’t apologetic about it.

If they had called her earlier, she might have been able to save Natasha. This wasn’t the first time they ignored her orders like this, but this was definitely the first time a person lost their life because of their ignorance.

She wanted to scold her more, but seeing her already losing it, Elliana massaged her forehead before sighing and placing her hand on Glow’s back.

"What’s done is done. You can’t turn it back. Stop crying now. We have bigger things on hand. I am not angry at you, Glow. I am just disappointed that you guys won’t listen to me even after all the time I told you to contact me. If it’s about protecting me, don’t you guys understand that if we die, we die together? That’s what I meant by Black angel wings. We might be dark and black sheep for the world, but to each other, we are the angels who are striving and living together like a feather on a wing. But you guys keep acting like my slaves or workers. That’s not what I wanted when I saved your lives," Elliana sighed.

Glow stepped back from Elliana and wiped her tears.

"I am really sorry for what happened. I really am. Please forgive me. We wanted to call you. But the rogues said that they were here to take you away. Something about teaching you a lesson for what you did to their prince," Glow signed while sniffing, and Elliana furrowed her brows.

What did she do to their prince? There is only one prince so far that she has treated badly. And she didn’t just treat him badly. She killed him very brutally.

However, there were two things to keep in mind.

First, she never left any traceable evidence that could lead to her, which meant he used some method to tell someone she killed him or she was there by some means that she had no idea about.

Second, though he was involved in the rogue vampire’s case, his family revoked all the allegations about not knowing a thing, which means someone there is still involved with the rogue vampires, and it’s important to find them sooner.

"I will look into the matter personally. I think I kind of have an idea of who was behind it," Elliana whispered before she looked at Glow and sighed.

"Is the cleaning work done? What about the funeral? I don’t think we need to hold one since no one would come for her. Let’s just cremate her body in the name of the moon goddess as soon as the son rises, okay?" Elliana asked.

Everybody agreed with her, nodding at her suggestion.

Elliana looked around, her gaze falling on Sasha, who looked down at her feet.

"Now that I think about it, where is my favorite member, Misha? I didn’t know my stand-in was so powerful. And not only that, but people around me knew and hid the truth meticulously too," Elliana said.

"Boss, I actually -"

Elliana raised her hand.

"Where is she?" Elliana asked, and as if on cue, Misha entered the place, her gaze falling on Elliana.

"Would you like to explain what’s going on? If you are done with your siren work?" Elliana turned to look at Misha, who sighed.

"There are many things about yourself and me that you don’t know. Can we talk in some privacy?" Misha looked at the other girls, feeling awkward for the first time.

Elliana smiled.

"You have been living with me for so long, Misha. You know the answer to your question better, no?" Elliana said.

Misha sighed. The indication was clear. They didn’t need to go anywhere and she should start talking in front of everyone.

Misha nodded and explained everything to Elliana, starting from her identity to how her birth and death were based on these powers that she had, and the powers inside her that everyone wanted actually belonged to the Siren Kingdom.

"So in a nutshell, you want your powers back?" Elliana asked, and Misha shook her head, confusing Sasha and Elliana.

Wasn’t she the same woman who kept on saying things like how she wanted to take back her powers to the Siren kingdom?

"For now, I want you to ask your husband to free the three Sirens they have caught. Marianna, Artemis, and Hera. It happened that day when you were signing in front of your friends, and you felt someone choking you.

Your powers had asked you to leave things to them," Misha looked away as she didn’t want a repetition of that event where she was shocked by what Elliana could do for the first time.

That was the reason she wasn’t so shocked when Elliana fought earlier. She kind of had an idea that the monster they kept on talking about, the real evil witch and evil energy among everyone who was causing this ruckus was actually Elliana.

It was true that all the witches were behind Elliana, but there were so many times she could have been kidnapped and died, but her powers always protected her.

What those high-end witches can’t see, Misha can, as the siren queen and someone from a different species.

The greatest evil of all lies in Elliana’s body, and it’s the love of everyone that has kept her tamed.

The day that evil unravels would be the day when the witches would have to come together to fight her back, and that day might be the day they realize what evil within looks like.

The girl doesn’t need to plot or hurt anyone to prove her point, it’s the way her body works that shows everything.

Or a girl merely 18 years old shouldn’t have that kind of bearing strength to burst and kill so many people and stay unapologetically happy after that.

She acts like a true queen because her powers indeed are. And that was the reason Misha couldn’t even fight, amazed by Elliana’s skills.

"That’s all?" Elliana asked, and Misha nodded.

"I will give you one chance to use those powers to bring the dead back from the heavens. As soon as you use that power, risking your life, they will naturally come to me. Does that sound like a deal to you?" Misha asked, and Elliana hummed.

"When are you planning on leaving my team? After all, now that your truth is revealed, you don’t need to stay here," Elliana turned around to walk inside the warehouse when Misha held her hand.

"I want to stay, Please," Misha said, and Elliana quirked her brows, looking at the so-called Queen.

"You are a queen. Go back to your kingdom," Elliana knitted her brows, unsure what else this queen wanted.

"I want to stay," Misha said, more firmly this time.

"Aren’t you ashamed?" Elliana asked.

"No. Can I stay now?" Misha asked, and Elliana looked at the other women in her team.

"Is that okay with you guys?" Elliana asked, and even the women nodded their heads, she rolled her eyes.

"So you guys already discussed the things. Anyway, this is a warehouse for women only. Men are not allowed. Glow, sort it out with your fiance, and throw him out. Also," Elliana turned around, using her teleportation to appear right in front of Marcello, making the man gulp and stumble back.

"Next time you raise your voice at me -"

"It won’t happen again. Save your threat," Marcello interrupted, not even wanting to hear it as he looked down at his feet, and Elliana smiled.

"I will return later. Those three Siren, I will see what I can do, and the -," Elliana paused, her heart thumping when Lillian rushed to her from inside the warehouse and hugged her.

"Stop crying, Lily. Everything is alright. I told you. As long as I am alive, I will try my best to protect you guys," Elliana whispered, tears brimming her eyes as everyone started to come and hug her one by one, all of them scared because of what happened, finally accepting their feelings and dropping their strong facade in front of their boss.

Elliana wiped her tears, placing her hands around her team, her gaze falling on Misha, who was stepping closer little by little.

A chuckle escaped her mouth.

"Come here you too. Be a queen in your kingdom, right now, be my stand-in, Misha," Elliana said, and Marcello rushed to them without getting an invitation, making Elliana kick his shin when he hugged Glow from behind.

"Pervert," She whispered, making everyone chuckle at the poor guy.
