Chapter 501: Ways to bring her back
Chapter 501: Ways to bring her back
Sebastian looked at the letter again, his heart aching softly, not because of how betrayed he felt, but because he didn’t know his princess loved him so much.
If she wanted to explain things to him, she should do it to his face, because the moon goddess forbade him from breaking his promises to himself, he wanted her back.
He didn’t care if she was a dark witch or was planning to sacrifice him in her game.
He was ready to sacrifice himself for her.
He wanted her back in his arms.
There was no way he was letting that woman win over him with this letter.
He had prepared a confession of his own, and she would have to hear it by hook or by crook.
Even if he has to fight the queen of dark witches to bring his wife back, he will.
Sebastian turned around and looked at the divorce papers on the other side of the ground, fisting his hand around it and placing it back in the box.
She signed a divorce paper? He will see to it that she signs their new marriage contract within a week and comes back to him. He will ensure it now. And not only that, she will tear this contract herself.
Sebastian picked up the box that had Princess’s gift and started walking towards the parking lot.
"Sebastian -" Prince Stephano approached him cautiously.
"Tell everyone that I am fine," Sebastian said and started moving before he stopped.
"Do you mind that my wife is a dark witch?" He asked.
Stephano looked at his brother who asked him something that he had never expected to hear from him.
"Do you not have a problem that she is a dark witch?" Stephano asked back to see his reaction first.
"That’s not the answer I want to hear," Sebastian said.
"Well, what can I say? I don’t think it’s for me to decide. You are the king," Stephano said, indirectly giving him the hint that he had the power to change the rules now and no one would stop him anymore.
"You?" Sebastian looked at Vincenzo.
"I always knew she was a dark witch. I mean, I figured she was that thing a week ago, and even after that, I stayed quiet. You have my answer," Vincenzo said, and Sebastian hummed and left.
After sitting inside the car, Sebastian went straight to the University to talk to the principal and block all the papers that the princess would need for the transfer using his powers now.
It took him only ten minutes to reach there, and with his vampire speed, he reached the Principal’s office, telling him exactly what he wanted.
He also knew that this won’t be enough to stop her. And that’s why he was planning to set a meeting with Nathaniel soon. That man used to visit his princess a lot and from what his princess had told him, according to that statement, Nathaniel was her half-brother, no?
"I will do it, sir. But please don’t mind my words, it will affect the princess’s education. If you princes will keep coming and calling her out of her lectures, how will she -"
Sebastian narrowed his brows at the Principal’s words.
"Princes? What do you mean by Princes? Who else comes here to meet her?" Sebastian asked, and the principal immediately realized that he made a grave mistake by mentioning it, and King Sebastian probably didn’t know anything about his brother’s arrival.
However, was he left with any choice anymore now that he had already spilled the beans?
"Prince Vincenzo. He has been visiting the princess quite often, even calling her out of her lecture classes sometimes," the Principal said, and Sebastian’s eyes darkened.
"What else do you know?" Sebastian asked.
"I am not sure, but Princess was quite fond of experimenting in the laboratory so most hours were spent there," The principal said.
"I would like to see her work," Sebastian said.
They walked to the laboratory and Sebastian opened the fridge where different chemicals were kept.
The tag ’important’ and ’do not touch’ was placed on them, and Sebastian knew she would return to take them.
"Anything else?" He asked, but the principal shook his head.
After leaving the University, Sebastian dialed Vincenzo’s number again.
"Did you know she was thinking of leaving me?" Sebastian asked without a delay, his voice hoarse and deep with suppressed anger.
Vincenzo knew to choose his words carefully or things would take a dark turn for him, and he didn’t want that.
"Yes. I knew. However, she said that if you won’t accept her, she will have to leave. I didn’t know she had made up her mind to leave because of things between you and Brooklyn," Vincenzo said, putting the blame back on Sebastian.
Sebastian clenched his hand as he remembered his Princess’s sad eyes and ended the call.
It was his fault indeed.
No. It wasn’t a fault. It was a sin that he deeply regretted.
"Don’t worry, Sebastian. She will come back to us once we show her there is indeed no woman in our life. That no woman touched us and owned us like her. That she is the ink that writes the destiny of Sebastian Marino," Sebastian told himself as he drove back to his palace.
But...
He pulled the brakes heavily, making the car stop at the side.
He froze in his place. He didn’t know he had the guts to go back to that empty palace that the princess had made home.
Everywhere, every corner of that palace is owned by that woman, that woman who even owns him, how will he be able to sleep at night in that empty cold bed? How will he eat on that dining table that won’t intoxicate him with her presence?
Sebastian looked at the side of the road, his gaze falling on a hotel. Should he go there instead of going back to that lifeless place? He wondered.
Meanwhile, in the Creta regions, Nathaniel looked at Azura who was sitting on the stone slab on the side of their window as she looked out.
"So?" Nathaniel asked and Azura sighed.
"So what?" Azura stood from her place.
"Don’t act like you don’t know what I am talking about. It is all because of you we are in this place. If you hadn’t stopped me from going there and stopping Elliana in the name of ’let her learn how to control her powers’ then Circe wouldn’t have been able to break that pendant in her neck," Nathaniel said, and Azura looked away.
She indeed agrees that it wasn’t what she had thought. She wanted her daughter to be strong enough to stop her power from being able take over her and unlock the eighth lock, but she had never thought that Circe would break the pendant instead. That damage was even worse.
That pendant in her neck wasn’t a simple pendant. It was the pendant of magical powers that took 500 years’ worth of witch magna. She can only imagine how Arizona was able to get her hands on so many witches to contribute to it.
It connected her daughter to Arizona, and though what that sister of hers did to her daughter was bad, she won’t disagree that it was because of the pendant that Elliana was safe from so many other evil eyes.
"I didn’t know things would take that turn," Azura confessed, and Nathaniel sighed.
"Should we try to look into things and find a way to create the pendant again?" Nathaniel asked, but Azura shook her head.
"It’s not useful anymore. The word about Elliana being a dark witch and my daughter will spread like wildfire now. There’s no stopping that. What we need to do is find a way to protect her from all those witches that will come to her to curry favors now," Azura said.
Nathaniel walked to the window and sighed.
In that case, there was only one way left that he would be able to protect Elliana from all those evil eyes.
He also knew that it would be hard to pacify her after what kind of mess and show she created at the royal party.
"Let’s go and meet her first. We will talk about other things later. I need to smack her ass for what she did at the party today. She has become really wishful," Nathaniel said, stopping when he saw Queen Azura looking at him with a disgusted face.
"What?" He asked.
"Don’t talk about my daughter like that, please. It’s really weird," Azura said, and Nathaniel rolled his eyes before vanishing into thin air to go and meet Elliana.
