The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 445: A shocking news
Chapter 445: A shocking news
"What is this?" The leader asked, throwing the contract document on the ground.
"Who is the princess here? What kingdom does this princess belong to? Is she from our species?" The leader asked, and Jasmine sighed in relief.
Right. Now that she remembered about it, they had never written their leader’s real name on the contract. She had even indicated that Glory wasn’t her real name and that she was an illegitimate princess.
That was the reason they used the word Princess for the contract.
Nyx also relaxed visibly, their relief not going unnoticed by the leader of the vampires.
His jaws clenched as his eyes drooped and brows narrowed.
"Do you think this is funny? That this is a mere joke? You are not going to answer me?" The leader asked, a clear threat in his voice.
Jasmine looked at Nyx, who was her mate with a helpless sigh. It looked like it was their last day together.
Nyx nodded at her.
’We will be together in her next life too,’ Jasmine took a promise from Nyx, who nodded softly, tears brimming their eyes.
They knew their end was near. Even if they told them where their leader was, there was no way they would let them live for them to tell everyone who was here to ask about her.
They will kill them eventually.
It was an unlucky day. On the same day the wolves had gone to meet the newborn baby of Jennifer’s sister, they got attacked like this. And what was even more unfortunate was that no one was there to inform their leader about who this man was and how he came looking for her.
"That’s everything we know. The girl used to address herself as a princess. She said she was the princess of a kingdom and would ensure that all our payments were on time. That’s all we needed to know. We rogue survive on external resources that we have to arrange ourselves since there is no pack for us to call home. We don’t invade others’ privacy. We have never met her," Jasmine said, and the leader laughed.
He laughed darkly, placing his hand over his eyes as he chuckled maniacally before he suddenly stopped.
"Do you think I am a fool and don’t know what you are doing? Even a fool would be able to tell you are clearly lying. What makes you think that I only have this method to get the truth out of you?" The leader smiled and clapped his hands, making his men nod.
Jasmine’s brows furrowed, unsure of what he was trying to do. However, as soon as the door opened and she got a whiff of the familiar smell, her pupils dilated and a scream left her mouth.
"No!!" Jasmine screamed in agony, her eyes meeting with the beaten body of one person who meant everything to her.
Tears rolled down her eyes uncontrollably as she struggled against the ropes, making the vampires chuckle.
"Are you ready to speak now?" The leader asked.
Nyx looked at Jasmine, ashamed at their fluttering resolution to protect their leader’s secret.

"How long will it take?" Aditya asked his subordinate who gave him the information that the man he was looking for would be found in this region.
The subordinate, who was driving while looking around, looked at the rearview mirror with a helpless smile.
"It should be here somewhere, sir. When I talked to the person, he said he would meet us in this forest. I don’t know why he isn’t showing up," the subordinate said.
"Be quick. You know we can’t be seen here by anyone, especially my father’s men. It would be hard to explain," Aditya said, and the subordinate nodded.
Aditya looked out of the window, watching the trees pass by as they drove on a rough path inside the forest that led to the rogue camps.
Yes. That was why he was here. To meet the rogue leader in this region and formulate plans to take down the vampire kingdom.
He was never interested in this dirty politics or wanted the demise of a species so badly. Even when his father used to talk with the emperor about policies and strategies against the vampires, he was never active in those.
All he knew was that they hated vampires because they were a threat to human beings. That was all he cared about.
Even after that, whenever he got the time, he still tried to treat everyone humanely.
But not anymore. Something inside him snapped when he saw Sebastian Marino kissing Elliana on the terrace that day.
He didn’t want to show any humanity to anyone anymore. In fact, now he had a reason to hate the vampires and wish for their destruction every second.
No one can take Elliana away from him.
Though he made some mistakes and ended up hurting one person he should’ve cherished, he was ready to repent for it his entire life, but he wasn’t ready to let go of Elliana.
She didn’t belong with those monsters. She belonged with him, in his arms as he would show her what true humane love was.
He would go to any lengths to get Elliana back with him.
Aditya smiled at the core memory of her blushing while looking at him as she shied away.
She always had a major crush on him and loved him. It was all because those hunters married her to that monster, she had to play pretend to love that leech. There was no way she was really in love with that man. Aditya nodded to himself.
"I think that’s the man," the subordinate pointed at a man standing at some distance.
Aditya stepped out of the car as soon as it stopped and buttoned his coat, his demeanor changing from approachable to the respectable council head’s son as his eyes drooped in a hard cold gaze.
He didn’t walk towards the man.
When the man noticed this, he looked at the subordinate, who nodded at him and he walked to Aditya.
"Can I know the reason you wanted to meet the rogue leader of the region, the council head’s son, Mr. Aditya?" The man said, and Aditya hummed.
"Destruction,"
"Destruction?" The man looked at the subordinate for a detailed explanation.
"Mr. Aditya wants the destruction of the entire vampire kingdom, but our prime focus would be on the Black Skull palace which is inhabited by the masked Vampire prince. He is the only prince who doesn’t drink human blood. So it will make things easier,"
The subordinate explained, clearly hiding the information about how that vampire was also the biggest game changer in the vampire kingdom, and it was the sole reason they wanted to bring him down first, apart from the fact that he would get Elliana back once her husband was dead.
Aditya looked at the man’s face observantly to notice every single expression and emotion crossing his eyes.
"We will need some time to discuss it," the man said, and Aditya hummed vaguely.
"We haven’t arrived with empty-handed promises and demands. The resources needed for the mission would be provided by me. I need an answer within 12 hours. If you think you are incapable of doing the task, I have other leaders lined up who would do it happily. The only reason we came here is because you are the closest camp to the council chambers," Aditya said, and the man looked at him for a few seconds before sighing.
"As expected from the council’s head’s son. We will do it. Let’s prepare for the contract -" The man couldn’t finish his sentence when Aditya’s phone rang, and he raised his hand to stop him from speaking anything further.
"Hello?" Aditya said over the call, his pupils dilating when he heard what his father’s secretary said.
"Sir, Princess Madeleine -"
"What about Princess Madeleine?" Aditya asked with a strange emotion gripping his heart.
"Sir, she is..." The secretary took a deep breath, making Aditya clench his hands.
"Fucking get on with the sentence! We don’t pay you for acting weak and wasting our time. What happened to her?!" Aditya raised his voice in pure anguish, not at all caring about whether someone saw or heard him anymore.
"Sir, the princess is dead," The secretary said, and Aditya felt his heart falling into the pit of his stomach.
What did he say?
"Her limbs were found twisted at off angles, and with her fingers chopped off, her intestines pulled out from her body and her neck brutally cut by a blunt object. Her head was twisted before putting it in place," The secretary said.
The more Aditya heard, the more shocked he became.
His heart was beating at the pace of a bullet train. It almost felt like his head was ringing, and he couldn’t hear anything anymore.
"Where?" Aditya asked, wanting to look into suspects already as they sat inside and the subordinate started the car after briefly explaining to the man that they would contact him later.
"In the palace itself, sir," the secretary said, and Aditya ended the call, tears brimming his eyes as he looked at the phone in disbelief.
This wasn’t true, right? The girl had her own bad traits, but this kind of death? This inhumane thing? In her own room? How is that possible? Aditya’s fingers trembled at the mere thought.
