Chapter 435: I will help you

Chapter 435: I will help you

"Mmmm," Elliana groaned in displeasure when she felt someone shaking her.

"Elliana, please wake up. I don’t have much time before your husband will come back. Please help me,"

Elliana heard a desperate plea in her ears, and she scrunched her brows, the haze of sleep vanishing from her eyes as she opened them and looked at the lady in front of her.

Her brows furrowed, and she turned to the door that was slightly ajar.

From the sound of it, it was clear that Mr. Marino was in the corridor, giving orders to his guards about some kind of training.

Elliana turned back to the witch in front of her, the soft expression that crossed across her face for a second vanishing immediately.

"Give me your hand," Elliana said before extending her hand.

Leila looked at the girl and couldn’t help but gulp.

It had been more than an hour since she had been struggling with this fire of hell that was destroying her powers slowly.

She arrived in the forests near the palace long ago, ready to ask for help since only Elliana could extinguish it. However, the girl was surrounded by all those powerful people that she couldn’t show her face to.

Leila sighed.

While she knew Elliana could’ve killed her within minutes with the same fire, she was surprised that the girl used such a small amount, despite what she did to the innocent girl.

It was clear that Elliana just wanted to scare her or probably warn her to stay away from herself.

Leila looked at the girl and placed her hand on the girl’s hand, her pupils dilating when she saw Ellisna’s black fire engulfing her hand. The witch raised her gaze and looked at the amateur girl in front of her, who unknowingly uses the finest magic that witches take centuries to learn, like her basic instincts.

"löschen," Elliana whispered before she raised her gaze and looked straight into the witch’s eyes.

"You can leave now," Elliana said, not in the mood to talk to anyone, especially people who want to harm her.

Leila looked at the girl, a bit confused.

"You are asking me to leave just like that? I mean, won’t you ask for something in return? Or probably threaten me?" Leila asked.

This wasn’t how it was supposed to be. The girl should ask for something in return for the help she provided along with the risk.

It was an unsaid rule among the dark witches and thus the rumor that no dark witch helps you without wanting something in return.

Elliana raised her gaze, her eyes void of emotions and Leila gulped.

She knew what this girl was going through. Since she arrived earlier, she had seen the girl losing it all and having an anxiety attack.

She wouldn’t lie. It was hard to watch, and as cold-hearted as she was, even she had tears in her eyes seeing the girl screaming and crying like that.

"I am sorry. To repent for my sin and all the time I troubled you, I will try my best to aid and protect you from other witches who want to harm you. I will make it my mission. The people I was helping, they didn’t even care whether I stayed alive or not, whether you would help me back or not," Leila said, looking at the girl whose eyes looked like she couldn’t bother with anything.

"Elliana, I know you won’t trust me after what I did with you, but please take a warning. Trust no one apart from Sebastian and Nathaniel. Not any of those princes or even the girl group you are leading. You have no idea what kind of secrets they are hiding, and how easy it is to manipulate them," Leila said, contemplating telling Elliana the name of the traitor among the royal family.

However, she still wanted to live, and if that lady even got a hint that she leaked the information, she would be as good as dead.

"Being with Sebastian is going to hurt him a lot. He will suffer more than you, but his love would be the only thing you would need to fight this world," Leila said, and her sentence finally caught Elliana’s attention.

"What -" Elliana stopped when Leila vanished into thin air and the door of the room was opened.

"Princess, you are awake,"

Elliana turned to the door, her gaze met with Miss Zoya.

"Please drink some juice. It will help you feel better," the caretaker said, and Elliana looked at the juice glass before looking at the door.

Now that the witch was gone and she was finally awake, she couldn’t help but remember what Mr. Marino said to her when she was having an anxiety attack.

Was it all for real? Did he mean all that?

"Please keep the juice on the nightstand. Can you call the prince for me and -?" Elliana paused before she stopped.

"Leave it. I will go to him myself," Elliana whispered.

"But princess, the prince strictly asked us to not let you move from the bed," Miss Zoya looked at the princess, her expression troubled, and Elliana smiled.

"He won’t say anything. I promise," She whispered before she wore her slippers, and drank the juice.

"Here, done,"

She placed the glass back on the tray and thanked Miss Zoya before leaving.

Elliana wasn’t rushed. According to Miss Zoya, he must be on the backside of the garden, training his security personnel on the night shift.

This wasn’t the first time she had heard of Mr. Marino trained his people, but this would definitely be the first time she would see him doing it.

She didn’t know why she was feeling so jittery and her heart was fluttering just at the thought of it.

After reaching downstairs, she turned around the corner, her gaze meeting with Ambrose who immediately bowed to her in respect.

"Don’t bow to me, Mr. Ambrose. If you respect me, then smile. You look better when you smile, I have noticed," Elliana smiled at him.

Ambrose cleared his throat as his cheeks and ears tinted red, making Elliana smile even more.

"Thank you for the compliment, princess. But I would like to keep my lips and life intact," Ambrose said in his deep yet soft voice, and Elliana sighed helplessly.

The indication was clear. No one wanted to get into their prince’s bad books by smiling at the princess.

"He is in that direction, right?" Elliana asked, and Ambrose nodded, making her nod at him before she started moving again.

She checked her appearance one more time, ensuring she was decently dressed to be in front of his tens of guards.

As she was walking towards the place, she heard loud voices of people shouting and training.

"Is this how you attack?" Mr. Marino’s voice reached her ears, and she stopped in her tracks when she saw him standing there in nothing but khaki pants, his chest glistening with sweat as he corrected a guard’s posture.

"Attack again. If you don’t do it right this time, you will spar with me, and I will show you what an attack is," Sebastian glared at his guard.

Elliana’s gaze met a few guards’, who immediately bowed to her, making her smile as she sat on the small steps, looking at her husband training his people.

"I am sorry, sir," The guard turned around before he launched another kick at the man in front of him. After a sequence of continuous kicks, the guard’s foot landed on the person’s chest, and the sickening sound of the bones breaking echoed in the surrounding area.

Elliana gulped when Sebastian half turned towards the other group of people and the way his muscles flexed, made her throat try and she averted her gaze for a second to catch her breath.

What was with her losing her breath again? First, it was the anxiety attack, and now her husband’s breathtaking form.

"Good. You go sit on the side and return after you heal. I will -" Sebastian paused when he heard the distinguished sound of his princess’s heartbeat increasing its pace.

He turned his body, giving the princess his undivided attention.

As soon as Elliana noticed she finally caught his attention, she stood from her place with a smile.

"Carry on," Sebastian said to his guards with a cold voice, not liking that his princess was there.

It wasn’t because he was jealous this time, but because he clearly told Miss Zoya to keep the princess in the room so she could rest.

"Princess, what are you -" Sebastian couldn’t complete his sentence when Elliana walked to him and stood on her tiptoes.

Since she couldn’t reach his lips because of the height difference, she ended up kissing his jaws, and he paused, his eyes immediately darkening as he looked down at her innocent smile.

Their guards, who were secretly watching the interaction blushed and looked away, not wanting to invade their prince’s privacy.

"If you think a kiss can -"

Elliana wrapped her hand around his neck before pulling his face down and kissing his mask over his cheeks this time.

"Princess, what are you -"

"Thank you for helping me today," Elliana whispered, placing her hand on his mask as she looked into his eyes.

’I love you,’ the words were on the tip of her tongue, but she sighed and shook her head.

"I just wanted to see you," Elliana whispered, placing her hand on his chest, and a smirk immediately formed on Sebastian’s lips.

"Are you sure you just wanted to see? You can try me too," Sebastian said, and Elliana raised her brows.

"I spar with you?" She asked.

Sebastian thought that his words would scare her and make her wary, but why was she looking so excited?
