The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 425: Worse than her mother

Chapter 425: Worse than her mother

Elliana’s eyes turned dark, darker than they had ever been.

She stood in her place and looked at the witch, her 5’9" form towering over the witch as she looked at her.

"I know you," she didn’t ask, but rather stated, making the witch look at her in surprise.

How does Elliana know her? Could it be that Nathaniel has already unraveled the truth about her and revealed it to Elliana? The witch thought and was about to ask what she meant when Elliana started again.

"You are the same witch who always appears in my dream whenever my lock is released and undone," Elliana said, and Leila immediately stepped back.

What the hell?

She was here to try to talk to Elliana to get her on their side, but she hadn’t thought that she would receive this kind of shock instead.

"How do you know that? How were you able to see that?" Leila asked, stepping back further from the girl, whose powers were radiating off her body today.

Leila clearly remembered to put the shield around herself every time she performed the spell to undo her locks, how did the girl find out it was her? Did her powers really have that kind of energy inside them to break her shield?

If that was the case, then does that mean this girl’s powers were stronger than -

Leila was snapped out of her thoughts when she suddenly started feeling her throat being clogged from all the suppressing aura that Elliana was radiating.

What the hell was this girl doing that her powers were so sensitive? The witch thought, her gaze focussing on the tears in her eyes.

She was crying? Just for that leech prince? What a pathetic witch princess. The witch scoffed in her mind.

"I know many things, but that’s not important here. What is important is, why are you doing this? What is it to you that you are unlocking the powers inside me? It’s clear you are here with a purpose, and I want to know it," Elliana said, holding the witch’s hand to ensure that she doesn’t escape to another realm.

"I am doing this for your benefit," Leila said, feeling edgy.

This was the first time she was confronting the girl face to face. Every time she went near her was when she was asleep or unconscious or with someone else.

She knew things would be difficult with her being awake, but Leila had never thought things would be like this.

Elliana quirked her brows.

"For my benefit?" She asked.

When Leila saw that the girl stopped crying, and her powers were turning less sensitive now, she tried to push the girl away, but to her surprise, Elliana didn’t budge from her place and only raised her brows as if challenging her to push her away again.

For an eighteen-year-old girl, she was atrociously strong. Leila clenched her jaws as she couldn’t use her powers on the girl either, and physically, she was obviously no match for her.

She took a deep breath to calm her heart.

"Yes, for your benefit. Don’t you think you deserve to unlock all your potential? Till when are you going to keep all those powers hidden inside you and keep creating problems for people around you?" The witch tried another approach, an approach that she knew would work on Elliana.

And just like she had guessed, Elliana looked at the lady, leaving her hand.

"I can save everyone from the miseries if I unlock all my potential?" Elliana asked, and Leila nodded with a smile, relief washing over her heart.

It looks like her trick was working on this girl.

"And for some reason, you think I am a fool to believe in a dark witch?" Elliana asked, pretending to be innocent and naive, her eyes wide in fake surprise, and Leila’s eyes immediately turned purple when she felt the danger again.

"And are you not? A dark witch?" She quirked her brows, mocking her back.

Elliana smiled and shrugged.

"You guessed it right. I am a dark witch too, and just for the same cause, I should stand up to my reputation, no?" Elliana asked Leila, making the latter scrunch her brows in confusion.

What was this girl talking about? The reputation of the dark witch? What reputation? The only reputation the dark witches have so far involves destruction and darkness, even their love is called a curse.

"What-"

Before the witch could realize what was happening, Elliana raised her hand and brought it down with a swing in a slap, and Leila’s eyes widened before she quickly clenched her eyes shut, unable to react in time.

However, Elliana didn’t slap her. She stopped right at the last second.

Elliana scoffed loudly before smiling, her smile appearing a bit too sweet.

"For what you are doing to me, I can give you a death far worse than you can imagine, but I am a good person. That’s why I will let you go," Elliana said, making the witch open her eyes.

Elliana could see the rage in the witch’s eyes. It looked like she wanted to wreak havoc.

"You will let me go? Do you even know who you are talking to and what I can -" The witch started her threat, but Elliana raised her hand to stop her from talking further.

"I wasn’t talking. What I was trying to say is that, if you think this is what I would say, that I am a good person with an extremely good heart, and I don’t like violence, you are wrong. Since you have been following me to make my lover miserable, I am sure you have noticed that I am no angel. I am the villain of my own story, and I can become the same for others too," Elliana said before she smiled at the witch.

The witch looked at the girl and realized the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Even though this girl had been kept away from her species all her life, she was truly a dark witch.

But the bad part was, she was a manipulator, the worst kind, and paired with her powers, she was unfathomable. It wasn’t good news.

Leila was about to use her powers to leave the place and Elliana immediately noticed it.

’Circe,’ Elliana whispered, and her powers immediately nodded at her.

"Brenne im Feuer der Hölle," Elliana said, and the witch’s eyes widened.

"What did you say to me?" She asked and was about to raise her hand to attack Elliana when she felt something weird happening to her powers.

They were not reacting.

"What did you do to me?" Leila asked, horrified.

"Well... What can I say? I tried a new saying that has been very famous among the dark witches. A little birdie told me that’s how you curse in the ’dark witch language’ so I am trying to adapt. Did I do a good job?" Elliana asked when she saw Leila’s hand starting to catch fire.

"I will forever remember this humiliation," Leila seethed through her teeth, and Elliana hummed.

"Don’t forget to transfer your powers to someone before you die. The fire of hell isn’t something everyone can extinguish. And if you don’t find anyone, come back to me and probably stop hurting me. I am actually a good witch, regardless of my powers," Elliana smiled, making Leila’s eyes brim with tears immediately.

It was clear the little girl was mocking her.

"You are the worst," Leila said, and Elliana nodded.

"I have been called worse, thank you," she said.

"No. You are worse than your mother. All of you deserve what is happening to you," Leila said before vanishing into thin air, leaving Elliana frozen in her place.

What did she say? Worse than her mother? Does that mean she knew who her mother was? Panic rose in her heart, and she looked around frantically, trying to find the witch.

"Hey! Hey! Come back! I will take away my spell! Come back, please. Who is my mom?! Where is she? Please tell me," Elliana shouted in agony, not realizing she was proceeding to the center of the road.

Beep!

She heard a loud horn and Elliana, who was caught off guard by the sudden yellow light, closed her eyes wrapping her hands around her head in fear.
