Chapter 422: The test case

"You have been quite dazed since earlier," Alcinder asked Elliana, who was just looking into some distance vaguely after she completed her revision.

Elliana turned to look at the man and sighed.

"It’s nothing. I am just curious about a few things regarding someone," Elliana said before she looked at her watch and noticed it was about time.

"Anyway, I have to leave now. Thanks for clearing my doubts on the subject. I guess I will do good in exams now," She said and was about to leave when Melony held her hand.

"Hey, I prepared this juice for you myself. Would you like to have a sip?" Melony asked, and Elliana smiled sweetly.

"Woah, what is this? You never prepared anything for any of us, not even Drake, so what is this all about?" Daniel raised his brows.

"Stop acting so jealous all the time," Elliana scolded Daniel before smiling at Melony again.

"You prepared something for me? That’s so sweet of you," Elliana took the bottle from her hand.

Her heart pounded loudly, and she gulped before placing the drink down on the table, her feet swaying as black spots appeared in her vision, making her gasp inwardly as her head throbbed.

"Elliana, are you okay?" Daniel rushed to her, holding her before she could fall, and Elliana nodded her head softly.

"Y-yeah, I am fine. I think too much studying took a toll on my brain," Elliana joked, earning herself a smack on the shoulders.

"Seriously? You almost had us there. How can you really joke about something like that?" Alcinder scoffed, and Samantha sighed.

"I am sorry. You guys were just so serious with all this worrying about exams. I mean, I understand since you guys are royalty, and it needs some good grades and everyone’s eyes are on you, but take a chill pill," Elliana smiled, her gaze flickering to Melony who was looking at her with a soft smile.

"Anyway, I will take my leave now. I have to be somewhere," Elliana grabbed the bottle of juice and walked out of the library.

She had already asked Sasha to ask someone to pick her up, and as soon as she reached the gates, the car appeared and she sat inside the car.

As much as she wanted to use her teleportation powers, she was still quite wary of them, not wanting to scare her girls and break their trust by appearing right in front of them. She wanted to tell them about it first.

"Is everything ready?" Elliana asked, and Sasha nodded.

"The girls are already there. We didn’t invite everyone since we weren’t sure if they were ready to face the rogue vampires and see you killing a vampire in front of them," Sasha said, and Elliana hummed, her gaze flickering to Celia who was driving the car.

"I understand. It would be a bit hard on them. I don’t blame them. Let’s not expose them to such things until I train them properly," Elliana said, looking out of the window with a sigh.

"What is in it?" Sasha asked, motioning to the container, and Elliana looked at the bottle that Melony gave to her.

"Something harmful for me. Probably to sedate me," Elliana said, remembering what her powers had said as soon as she had grabbed the bottle in her hand.

She wasn’t faking it. She had indeed felt that kind of suppressing smell from the liquid in the bottle, and she immediately knew something was wrong with it.

She guessed that it was an herb that was used to sedate witches because she knew almost all the herbs that Vampires and humans use and none of them had that kind of powers apart from the ones she was using and even those didn’t affect her like this, which meant this was for witches only.

The main question was, why would Melony give this juice to her? She couldn’t possibly know who she was, right? Elliana sighed, remembering to call Nathaniel and give this bottle to him to have it checked.

"A poison? Who would give it to you? And why are you carrying it around as if it is some kind of souvenir? Who was it? Tell us their names," Sasha became hyper, and Elliana smiled at her helplessly.

"Calm down, Sasha. I want to test it before discarding it. That’s why it’s with me. And you are not to mention this in front of Glow, okay?" Elliana asked Sasha, and the latter sighed before humming.

After traveling for thirty minutes, they finally reached the farthest and safest area of the abandoned forests behind the University.

Elliana looked at the time and sighed.

She will have to go back to the University before Mr. Marino or his chauffeur arrives to pick her up.

As Elliana walked to the area, she noticed a truck standing near the caves, and she quirked her brows when she heard a loud snarl.

"Well, what do we have here?" Elliana walked to the back of the truck and looked at the rogue vampire.

"You guys step back," Elliana warned her girls, and Vincenzo, who was checking the cell, walked out of the caves before looking at the girl who was acting nothing like the petite girl she became in front of her husband.

She was acting like some kind of cult leader, and the confidence she was oozing while doing all this and leading these vampires and werewolves, it was as if it was her daily work.

He also noticed how it was hard to smell her usual scent which meant she was using some kind of scent hiding perfume too.

Vincenzo looked at the girl up and down.

Why was she so professional in this? Though he trusted her to not hurt his family and Sebastian, hadn’t he underestimated her all this time?

"Step back, Vincenzo," Elliana said, and the prince rolled his eyes when she used his name again.

Where was the respect anymore, seriously!

"David, Jennifer, it’s your turn," Elliana said, and two rogue wolves, who had been hiding since earlier, rushed out, sending Vincenzo into alert mode as they looked at him, their amber eyes glowing as their wolves became alert.

"Come on, I don’t have all day," Elliana jumped into the truck, walking towards the cell inside the truck.

"Give me the keys," Elliana looked at Vincenzo, who threw the keys toward her.

Elliana grabbed the keys and looked at the two wolves behind her when they nudged her foot.

"You guys want to do it? But you are not allowed to shred him yet," Elliana warned the wolves, and the rogue vampire snarled loudly in anger.

"You bitch! Do you think you can kill me? Come here!" The vampire said, and the wolves turned into their human form before opening the cell and holding the vampire.

As soon as Jennifer held his arm, the vampire lunged at her, but before he could attack her, Davis knocked him out.

Since the vampire was starved for quite some time, he wasn’t powerful enough to take them down either way.

David and Jennifer took the vampire to the cell inside the caves that Elliana had asked her girls to prepare.

With a sigh, she turned to Vincenzo who was staring at her.

"You don’t have to be so suspicious of me just because you know I am that now," Elliana said, referring to the witch part, and Vincenzo scoffed.

As if that was the only weird thing about her.
