Elliana looked at Nathaniel apprehensively.

"Just this?" She asked, and Nathaniel nodded at her.

"So you are telling me performing this spell was so easy, and you didn’t tell me about it all this time? That I wasted so much time and money uselessly when I could’ve just thought about the place and made myself appear there?" Elliana asked.

Nathaniel looked at her with a bit of wariness in his eyes before sighing.

"Yes, princess, it was always this easy. You very well know that I won’t do anything that will harm you in the end. That’s why I wanted to protect you from this spell. I was afraid that you would end up going somewhere from where you wouldn’t have any way out.

However, I can see that you will go anywhere, either way, that’s why I am here teaching you how to do it properly," Nathaniel said.

Elliana nodded softly before sitting on the bed, confusing Nathaniel.

Wasn’t she eager to try the spell and in an urgency to do it? Why was she delaying it now that he taught her how to? Did she change her mind or something?

"El- " Nathaniel started, but her words cut him off immediately.

"I had a dream, Nathaniel. It wasn’t really a dream, but a wicked nightmare," Elliana looked into his eyes.

Nathaniel immediately knew she wasn’t joking, and the matter was too serious for her to look at him like that.

"Would you allow me to see what it was?" Nathaniel asked.

Elliana nodded.

"But I was naked at the end of the dream," she whispered.

Nathaniel smiled at her before ruffling her hair.

"It’s okay. You won’t appear like that to me," He tried to cheer her up, unsure of what he would get to see before he stood right in front of her so that her face was almost on his tummy.

"Aren’t you getting a bit too close?" Elliana asked, her ears turning red slightly, and the man smiled at her shyness before nodding.

"I am," he said before placing his palm flat on her head.

He deliberately moved so close to her so he could feel what she felt more clearly.

When they usually look into other people’s minds to read and see their nightmares, it’s just a scene playing in front of them and nothing more.

But Nathaniel wanted to feel what she felt to understand her pain and fear better. That’s what he promised himself. That her every pain would be his too.

However, he didn’t know how wrong he was with his judgment and that he was going to be traumatized by the kind of nightmares she was having.

Nathaniel’s left hand clenched around his pants as he went deeper into the nightmare, and Elliana noticed it. She held his hand in hers, massaging his knuckles with her thumb to calm her down. She could see that it was probably taking a toll on him too.

After what felt like an eternity, Nathaniel gasped loudly, stumbling back from Elliana, his back hunching as he supported himself with his hands on his knees.

Nathaniel looked up, his galaxy eyes meeting Elliana, who was looking at him, waiting for him to say something.

He kept looking at her as a rogue tear rolled down his eyes.

That voice... That voice which was calling for help and asking to be saved...

It has been so long since he heard his voice like this.

Their dad was calling Elliana to save him, and the thought alone that he was trying to reach her meant so much.

"Princess, my sweetheart, I am sorry you have to see all that. But don’t be afraid, nothing will happen to me. I can’t promise what kind of reaction Sebastian will have, but I promise that no one will hurt you.

And the voice, congratulations, baby girl. Our dad is calling on you. It means he is captured somewhere and has probably felt your energy somehow. He is trying to hold onto you," Nathaniel said, his words making Elliana widen her eyes.

Nathaniel could see that the sadness in her eyes was now replaced with excitement.

He wanted to tell her everything, but given how her powers were trying to take things into their hands these days, not to mention the second weird dream she had, which was the doing of some other dark witch, it was better she knew as little truth as possible.

When the right time would come, he would tell her everything himself, but till that time, he could only wait for Azura to come back to him.

He didn’t know how she was handling the news that her husband whom she loved the most in the entire world was probably alive.

However, he knew one thing for sure, she would return to him to ask for help against Arizona, and at that time he would decide his first attack on Arizona and all the witches who were with her in this endless game that they played with their family.

"Yes, my princess, it’s true. Your dad is calling -"

"Nathaniel, you just said that ’our’ dad is calling me. What is that supposed to mean? Y-you, you are my brother?" Elliana asked, finally catching his words.

Nathaniel gulped before nodding his head softly.

"Is that why you were so devastated a few days ago? You learnt about it recently too?" Elliana asked again.

Nathaniel looked away before nodding once again.

He didn’t want her to find out about this like this, but he didn’t want to hide it anymore either.

"It’s funny, isn’t it? All my life I kept dreaming of having a romantic life with you because I could feel that I would lay down my life to protect you. And what else could I relate to other than love? However, who would’ve thought that life would throw this surprise at me?" Nathaniel asked, chuckling in self-mockery.

Elliana’s eyes softened when she realized what he was talking about and she stood from her place, hugging him from behind.

"Only love can hurt like this. And I know it must be a mess for you, and I am ashamed and sorry that my love was the thing that hurt you most," Elliana whispered.

Nathaniel wanted to turn around and tell her to not blame herself for something that wasn’t her fault, but she held him in place, a clear indication that she wasn’t finished talking and he sighed, letting her say what she wanted to.

"Will you blame me if I say I am glad that I have a relationship as pure as a family member with you? And even though it’s a sweet pain burning in your heart, and this love might probably be killing you, I am glad that I have a reason to keep you by my side, forever?" Eliana took a shaky breath.

"When I think about you leaving, I crumble. I feel like I will die if you leave my side along with everyone. In this cursed world of powers and nightmares, you have become my sunlight. Sebastian is my love, and I will kill for him, but I will take a bullet for you too. Is it bad that I am happy you are my brother?" Elliana whispered.

Nathaniel’s head hung low, tears falling from his eyes like shining pearls in the moonlight as he felt her emotions through her hug.

"You stupid girl, what am I supposed to do with you? I am jealous that such an amazing girl won’t become my wife, but I am obviously happy that she will be in my life forever, and I can beat her husband too in the name of him treating you badly," Nathaniel said.

Elliana chuckled in between the tears.

She knew he was saying all this to make her smile, and it was indeed working.

Nathaniel turned around and looked into her eyes, bending his head so that he was on her eye level before he wiped her cheeks with his thumbs, cupping her face in his palm.

"Nothing will happen to you as long as I am alive, dear sister," he said to her, and Elliana nodded.

"I know," she whispered, making Nathaniel pull her into his embrace and tighten his hold on her.

"And I can feel your hugs free of guilt now in the name of brotherly love," Nathaniel said and Elliana smiled, wrapping her hands around his torso.

"You are my silly brother,"

"Just like you are my stupid sister," Nathaniel said, bringing another soft smile to her face.

"Now if you are done getting emotional, let’s work on the teleportation spell. I have many ancient books to read," Nathaniel said.

Elliana nodded before stepping away from him and closing her eyes to teleport herself as Nathaniel told her.
