Chapter 407: Banned witchcraft
Chapter 407: Banned witchcraft
Present time ~~~
Sebastian stepped out of his car and walked towards the beach where the bodies were still lying.
Their lifeless eyes full of panic and fear as they were opened wide, were a clear indication that whatever it was, it was beyond terrifying for them and they didn’t even get the chance to react to anything.
He sat near one of the bodies, taking a deep breath.
He closed his eyes before turning towards his man who had reported the death of everyone on the shore.
"Were you guys able to find anything regarding what happened here?" Sebastian asked, and the man shook his head.
The prince turned around to look towards the shore again, something catching his eyes, making his gaze turn cold.
He stood from his place and walked to the area that led to Mora Caves.
He looked straight at the scene in front of his eyes before clenching his jaws.
"Do you guys have no humanity at all? Would you have liked being in this state? Lucas, cover them up," Sebastian roared at his men, who immediately shook in their place, bowing in apology.
"Sorry, sir. We will do it right away," one of the men said and rushed to bring whatever clothing he could from the base.
Sebastian looked at the eyes of the naked boy who looked like he was trying to protect his girlfriend or wife, judging from the naked woman under him.
They probably were here for fun, since their tent was far away and got caught up in this.
Sebastian took off his overcoat and placed it on their bodies before he turned back to the man, waiting for his answer.
"No, sir. We have been trying to look for any kind of hint or person who can give us at least an idea as to what happened here. The only thing we have got which might help us -" The man paused.
"What is it?" Sebastian asked.
"The last voice messages before they died," The man said, and Sebastian nodded.
"I would like to hear all of them. Also, I want details of everyone who died on this shore. We will send the team to meet their loved ones so that we can give them a proper funeral and help their family with their basic needs. Those guards died on duty," Sebastian said to Lucas, who nodded.
"Send us the voice messages that were sent to you. How many are they and -" Before Lucas could complete his sentence, the man interrupted again.
"Sir, it’s the voice message that they sent to their loved ones before dying," the man said, and Sebastian, who was looking around trying to find any signs, paused.
Everyone on the shore who was there for investigation, looked at their prince, wanting to see his reaction.
It would be wrong in so many ways. The families must already be in pain, and to go there and ask them what those guards said before dying would be like making them relive that scenario.
Sebastian’s hands clenched, and he closed his eyes.
Though it was hard and torturous, this was also one of the only ways to know what exactly happened on this shore, to get these guards the justice they deserved.
Sebastian felt contemplated. He tried to think of things in his wife’s way. What would she have done if she was here?
She would’ve gone to each family and consoled them. He sighed.
While he didn’t think he was capable of things like consoling anyone, he turned to order Lucas to send the team to pay their condolences from the black skull royal kingdom’s side.
However, before he could say anything, he saw a pregnant woman sauntering towards him.
"Mrs." Lucas rushed ahead when he saw the lady was barely able to walk.
Her cheeks were stained with dry tears as she looked at their prince with a mixture of emotions. Sebastian didn’t need anyone to tell him that this lady was probably the wife of one of the members.
"Prince Sebastian," the lady stood in front of him with Lucas’s support as she placed one hand over her belly protectively.
Sebastian didn’t say anything for a good few seconds, only gazing at the rage in her eyes.
"I... My husband has always shown you loyalty and I always trust my husband’s instinct. That’s why I am here to relay the last message I received from him. Please seek justice for him and punish his culprits," The lady said, tears flowing from her eyes again, and Sebastian nodded at her.
"Justice will be provided to everyone who died on this shore today. As a matter of fact, I will let you guys see me pulling the hearts out of those culprits. Those culprits made a mistake hurting the family of the wrong person," Sebastian assured the lady who whimpered, almost falling on her knees when the prince called them his family, if not for Lucas who immediately held her.
Sebastian walked to her and placed his hand on her head, closing his eyes as he tried to read exactly what that man sent her.
"Hey, sweetheart, how are you doing?" Leo asked through the mind-link, but before his wife could speak again, he started, short of time.
"I... Will you forgive me, my love? I am sorry for saying this to you, but from now on you will have to take care of yourself and our baby. I know I promised you that I would apply for leave as soon as our baby is born, but unfortunately, I am being sent on a mission far away," Leo chuckled through his pain.
"Leo, what is happening? What are you spouting at this time of night?" His wife said, sleepy.
"I love you, sweetheart. You will have to continue this journey without me now. I don’t think I will be able to make it back home tonight, or any other night,"
"Leo! Leo! What the hell is happening? You are stressing me out now. Please tell me -" his wife whimpered at the thought of something happening to her husband.
"They are here to kill us. I... I don’t know who these are. They look like bears. No, they are lions. I don’t know what this is... This weird scent and black clouds are covering them.
I don’t think we will be able to make it. Please tell everyone we fought till our last breath but these shiny sea creatures -" Leo’s voice stopped with a gasp and Sebastian blinked twice when he saw a gist of how badly this woman cried when she realized her husband was nowhere.
He could understand what this lady must be feeling. Things were different in the past, but now he couldn’t even think of living without his wife. The thought of something happening to her was enough to break his heart and make him want to destroy the world.
"I appreciate your help. Please be rest assured we will try our best to find the criminal," Lucas said to the lady before he helped her back to their cars and asked one of the men to drop her off at their home.
He rushed back to their prince who was standing deep in thought.
"Sir," Lucas tried to get his attention, and Sebastian sighed.
"Illusion, Lucas. The people who died here saw an illusion of a creature that was similar to a bear and a lion that probably came out of the sea. Do you understand what it means?" Sebastian asked, and Lucas looked at Ambrose who was more inclined towards this kind of knowledge.
"A were-glawackus," Garry walked to them, and Sebastian nodded.
"That’s right. Unfortunately, in this case, it is a mythological creature whose remains were never found to prove the theory they ever ruled the world.
So for them to appear here out of nowhere and hurt our men, it only means someone created an illusion of them to hide their path," Sebastian explained to them and all the guards walked to their prince to hear the piece of information.
"If that’s the case, how will we explain the deaths, sir? Does that mean this is the doing of a witch?" Lucas asked.
"A witch, a very dark witch who knows the art of creating monsters through mutagenic spells," Sebastian whispered before turning around and looking at the sea.
This was weird.
This witchcraft was banned 10 centuries ago. So for someone to have their hands on this kind of witchcraft -
But whose blood did they use? Who could be strong enough to bring back a spell that created were-glawackus?
"There’s a reason I hate those dark witches with a passion. I swear if I encountered one in my life, I would plunge a dagger straight into her chest and make her bleed every single drop of blood she has. I will never forget this massacre," Harry said, and Sebastian looked at him from the corner of his eyes.
Of course. No one will ever forgive a dark witch, not after they have lost so much.

A/N- With everyone’s increasing hatred towards dark witches, do you think Sebastian and his subordinates will be able to accept Elliana when she takes her true dark form?
