Chapter 402: A warning

"Sir, Madonna is here," Harry knocked on the door softly to know if he was ready to meet her.

Sebastian turned around before nodding at him, his gaze stern and neutral, making the man nod and leave before allowing Madonna to enter the room.

The witch looked around the office, carrying calm yet powerful vibes around with her.

Sebastian didn’t turn around immediately.

"What is it that the prince wanted to ask me?" Madonna asked.

Sebastian kept looking out at the guards who were training in the field behind the building of his office.

With a heavy sigh, he turned around and nodded at her.

"Always straight to the point," Sebastian commented before motioning her to sit.

"I want to ask you a few things, and I am hoping you could help us," Sebastian said before taking out a file from his drawer and showing it to her.

"What is this?" Madonna narrowed her gaze at the image of a woman hiding behind what looked like a shop. Since the woman was wearing a cloak and holding a wand, it didn’t take a genius to know the woman was a witch.

"It’s an image of the witch that was captured in the camera. It’s from the time when we got our hands on the first rogue vampire, or that’s what I think he was. Anyway, I am sure you can easily catch the witch here, so help me out," Sebastian said, and Madonna nodded at him.

It wasn’t hard for her to guess who this witch was just by the look of her wand, and unlike Sebastian who wasn’t able to look past the blue of the woman’s face because of the magic she was using, Madonna could easily go past the spell.

"It’s Yaretzi. She is a harmless witch. I don’t understand why she would come to the vampire kingdom when she hates vampires with a passion," Madonna said, and Sebastian hummed.

"I have more questions about some witches lurking in the kingdom, but that’s for later. First, can you tell me what exactly humans are up to this time? I want you to help me with the crystal ball," Sebastian said.

Madonna quirked her brows at the prince. She leaned back in her seat and observed the man carefully.

Sebastian thought she was thinking of resisting, but to his surprise, Madonna clicked her hands, and not one but seven crystal balls appeared in front of him, all of them showing a different scenario.

"What is this?" He asked, confused about why she would show him seven balls instead of just one with the vital information like he had heard witches doing.

"When the conspiracy is occurring in seven different places, how can you gather everything with just one? Do you think I have enough time to show you everything one by one?" Madonna scoffed.

Sebastian understood where she was coming from and was about to thank her when one of the crystal balls caught his attention.

"Is that a witch with human rogues?" Sebastian asked, and Madonna looked at the ball.

Even she was surprised to see this kind of scene. However, she was bound by the laws of nature and she shrugged.

The only help she could have him was by zooming on the crystal ball to have him listen to the conversation they were having.

"Why are you helping us again? I don’t remember any recent activity between dark witches and vampires," The rogue asked, and the witch smirked.

"Well, it’s a win-win situation for us. You get to destroy the vampires, I get the thing they have in their possession. The thing I have been eyeing for a long time," The witch said.

"What thing?" The man tried to pry more.

"A girl called Elliana," the witch said.

Sebastian’s hands clenched on the table, but since he wanted to know more, he suppressed his beast, which didn’t go unnoticed by Madonna.

However, she didn’t comment on that and let Sebastian see other crystal balls.

Sebastian saw the other piece of conversation that was happening in the dark and the faces of the people were unable to make out.

He looked at Madonna who shook her head. She couldn’t meddle with species out of her area. She wasn’t a rule breaker.

He hummed before watching everything and then letting her make them disappear.

Sebastian pondered over all the conversations, the one where that witch was trying to demand Elliana, holding weightage over everything.

"About Gambit’s new locations. I can mark them on the map. Not the exact location but the city area. That’s all I can do to help with a task that was supposed to be a deciding factor for the crowning," Madonna said.

Sebastian raised his brows.

"That is more than just anything. Why are you doing it?" His brows narrowed.

This wasn’t the first time he had called Madonna for help so he was well versed in how things worked with her.

"Because there is someone in the royal palace who is cheating too," That’s the only thing Madonna said, and Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

He should’ve known that something like this would happen.

"Okay," he nodded before asking Harry to bring the nation’s map.

Madonna extended her hands over the table so that her palms were facing the map before she closed her eyes and did the spells, chanting Gambit’s and the other human rogue leaders’ names so that she could use the locator spell on them.

It wasn’t hard for her to get the exact location, but she didn’t want to tell him everything to the point.

Sebastian looked at the few spots where they hadn’t even thought they would find Gambit and immediately clicked the photo of the map before circulating in the group and telling them what it meant and what they needed to do.

Once the two major things were covered, Sebastian came to the question that he had saved for the last.

"So, as I was saying earlier, there have been some frequent and unexplained visits from the dark witches in the vampire kingdom for some days. Can you explain what is going on?" Sebastian asked.

Madonna looked at him confused. She had no idea what he was talking about.

"I don’t know about such visits and neither has the witch kingdom been informed of something major happening. If that had been the case, the teachers would’ve known about it," Madonna answered before she thought of something and looked at him.

"Is there anything specific you have noticed about their behavior? Maybe they are showing something common to give you hints?" Madonna asked.

Sebastian thought about every time a witch showed up and shook his head.

"I don’t think there’s any hints -" Sebastian paused.

Yes. How can he forget about the major part of how and when they were appearing?

"Apart from the fact they always appear when my wife is in danger or hurt as if taking her revenge for her," Sebastian said, and Madonna quirked her brows.

"Your wife?" She asked.

"The girl they were talking about. She is my wife. It’s irking how a witch would be ready to help humans destroy an entire race for a human girl," Sebastian said.

Madonna looked at him.

"So is Elliana a human girl only? Are there no secrets around her? I also know one Elliana who comes to train at our school and the girl, her aura, I shouldn’t talk about," Madonna sighed.

"My wife is human. The arrival of the witches is the only mysterious thing about her," Sebastian said, and Madonna was about to ask him to show her the photo of the girl he was talking about when the door was knocked.

"Sir, the princess is here," Harry said, and Sebastian nodded at him.

He was about to ask him to call her inside, but the fact that he was meeting with a witch and asking about her might not settle well with her. That’s why he looked at Madonna.

"I want to see your wife," Madonna said sternly, her eyes glowing and Sebastian quirked his brows.

The way Madonna was reacting, made him second question his decision of asking her for help at all.

What was it about his wife that has been intriguing these witches so much that they lose their minds every time she is mentioned?

"You cannot meet -" Sebastian couldn’t complete his sentence when Lucas pushed the door open and walked inside.

"Hybrid Witch Prince Nathaniel came to meet Princess," Lucas reported before nodding at the witch.

To say Madonna was shocked would be an understatement, but it only toughened her suspicion about this girl.

She wasn’t shocked just because she heard about Prince Nathaniel meeting the vampire Prince’s wife, but because she was feeling a weird suppressive aura in the place from the moment Lucas opened the door.

She was sure there was nothing like that earlier. Then who was so powerful that she was -

Student Elliana? What was she doing here?

"Who is she?" Madonna asked, to ensure she didn’t jump to conclusions.

"She is the one I was talking about. My wife, my princess," Sebastian said, looking at his wife with longingness.

Now that he looked at her, he was missing her even more.

Madonna, on the other hand, looked at Elliana in pure amazement. This girl... This girl was Prince Sebastian’s wife?

But how was it possible? He said his wife was a human and she was clearly a witch who was training with -

As she was about to leave, she turned to Sebastian to give him a warning as someone who once saved her.

"About your wife, the mystery you are trying to find may devastate you too. So be prepared for the future. It will put your feelings to the test. Also, the witches, only you can keep her safe from them. Until you know everything, don’t let any dark witch near her or you will lose her," Madonna warned Sebastian before leaving, making Sebastian even more anxious than before.
