The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride -
Chapter 394: She is weird
Chapter 394: She is weird
In the hell regions, inside the demon’s kingdom, a man sat on the throne looking at his subordinates as they gave him reports of what was happening in the dark world all around them.
"And they want our assistance this time, lord," the subordinate ended his report.
The man on the throne leaned back in his seat before humming vaguely.
"Is that so?" He said to no one in particular before turning to his left where his most trusted subordinate was standing.
"Make the arrangements," His voice was deep, curt, and precise.
The subordinate bowed in front of his lord.
"My lord, there is news of infiltration in the red mountain regions," The subordinate and the man turned their heads towards him, his red eyes dripping with evilness.
"Dark witches?" The man asked, and the subordinate looked at the entrance of the throne room.
The Lord followed his subordinate’s gaze and flickered his gaze towards the large gates from where three men entered.
"You are the one who reported the infiltration?" The subordinate stepped ahead, and the three men sat on their knees with their heads bowed until their foreheads were touching the floor with the skull pattern.
"Our lord, we were the ones who reported it. It’s indeed a dark witch," one of the men said, and the lord looked at his subordinate who immediately nodded.
"Do we have any information about the clan of the dark witch? What is her purpose? Is this one of those tests where they are trained to open the portal to hell when they reach level 9?" The subordinate asked, and the Lord’s brows twitched when he looked at his men shivering.
Something was off about the situation, and it looked like his men were finding it hard to explain it to him.
If this wasn’t incompetency, then what was it?
The man scoffed, making everyone take a shaky breath as they feared the wrath of the hell lord.
"It’s a girl, sir," one of the men added.
"Does that really matter? If their purpose isn’t training, they should’ve come and reported it to us. Male or female, they deserve a backlash. Just because we don’t punish to maintain a healthy partnership doesn’t mean they are allowed to enter and exit hell like they are on a picnic," The subordinate said.
"It’s a GIRL, sir," the same man emphasized again, and the hell lord stood from his place, making the men clench their eyes shut.
"You mean it’s not a woman, but a girl?" The subordinate asked, looking warily at their lord.
"Yes, sir,"
"How young are we talking about? Thirty?" The subordinate asked with furrowed brows. This was the least age for any witch to reach level 10 where they could come and go out of hell at their whims.
This sacred and scary place wasn’t allowed to everyone either. Only a selective group of witches allowed by their Lord Ahriman can enter the place, and that to be, they have to report the cause to the Lord if not for training.
He didn’t remember a time when they let a witch with unreported infiltration live.
"Pr- Probably Nineteen," The same man stuttered, and everyone in the throne room gasped before they started talking in hushed whispers, shocked by the words that left his mouth.
Even Lord Ahriman who was walking casually near his throne paused and looked at the man.
"Are you sure it’s nineteen and not ninety? We are talking about the real age here, not the pretended age," the subordinate asked to confirm, and the men nodded in sync.
He didn’t know what to do anymore. Feeling at his wit’s end with all the questions and their weird answers, the subordinate looked at his lord.
"And sir -" one of the men started again, making everyone look at him.
"She is crying non-stop. It feels like she came here accidentally," the man said, and Lord Ahriman’s eyes turned dark.
"No one can come here without having enough power. No matter the situation, no dark witch below level 9 can come here herself, much less a 19-year-old new witch who might not even know how to teleport from one place to another place. Someone has sent her here," Lord Ahriman said, and the subordinate raised his brows in utter bewilderment.
"You mean someone is conspiring against a 19-year-old witch? Did they send her here themselves? Even after knowing that coming here will result in her getting killed?" The subordinate asked, and the Lord looked at him with droopy eyes.
"Did I stutter?" The Lord said before he turned to look at those men.
"Mistake or no mistake, anyone who comes here shall die a terrible death. That’s the rule of hell. That’s how it has always been," The lord said to his subordinate.
"Lead us there," he said.
Meanwhile, Elliana, who was sitting with her back to the tree, felt more constricted. It was becoming hard for her to breathe anymore. The heat was too much.
There was this weird smell in the area that was making it hard to breathe. It was barely there, but after spending so much time in this area, it was starting to affect her.
And the worst part was, she didn’t know how to use her powers in this area. Everything was too weird. It was as if something was clutching her legs with some iron chains, making it hard for her to even move her limbs.
She wiped her tears furiously feeling helpless and unprotected.
She wanted, no, she needed Mr. Marino with her to protect her.
Elliana stood from her place and closed her eyes.
"Mr. Marino," She whispered his name again, hoping for some kind of magic to happen and pull her out of this cursed world and take her back to where her husband was.
She already had 10 days left. She didn’t want to waste this time in some horrifying place.
It was him she wanted to be with.
Elliana hugged herself to ease the creepiness she was starting to feel in her bones.
It was almost as if someone was coming near her.
"Little girl," she heard a cold voice, and she turned around immediately, feeling scared of someone else’s presence near her.
However, she wasn’t prepared to see who it was.
No. She didn’t know this person, but it amazed her how beautiful and handsome he was.
He was almost as tall as Mr. Marino, with a skulled mask that barely covered his hair and had large horns. He had many lines running down his jaws, almost like an ancient drawing that reached his upper cheek bones, and his red eyes looked straight at her as if peeking at her soul.
Her eyes went wide with surprise and her mouth parted wide open. All the fear she was feeling dissipated.
Probably it was because now she knew she wasn’t alone in this place.
She looked at all the men behind him who were looking, or should she say, glaring at her as if she were some kind of spy who was here to steal some information.
"Mr." Elliana bowed her head, unsure of what to call him, and Lord Ahriman’s brows quirked at her oblivion.
His men weren’t lying. She was indeed a dark witch, but what he was seeing was even more surprising than he had thought about.
The girl was beautiful, too beautiful and enchanting. And after living for so many centuries, it wasn’t hard for him to know that this girl had siren powers inside her, which also meant she was the chosen one.
"Lord Ahriman," The man said, and Elliana nodded.
"Mr. Ahriman," She said respectfully, making everyone gasp at her audacity.
Does she not know to never take the lord’s name without adding the lord in front of it?
"You are hot," Elliana whispered after a few seconds.
Lord Ahriman - "..."
His men who were gaping at the girl -"..."
"Excuse me?" Lord Ahriman asked, finding it hard to understand the girl and her true intentions.
Was she really pushed here or was she some kind of cunning witch who was hard to decipher?
"You are oozing hotness," Elliana said again, confused by her own set of words.
How does she tell him? His presence was making her feel hot, and not in a good way.
It was almost as if she was standing close to a fire, a blazing fire that was ready to burn her to death.
"What do you mean?" Lord Ahriman asked, his eyes narrowing at her innocent smile.
"You are on fire," Elliana said, satisfied with her answer this time.
Lord Ahriman - "..."
"She is a weird one. Lock her in the dungeons," he said and turned around, leaving her horrified.
