Chapter 326: Sebastian will win without a doubt

"I am sorry," Elliana whispered, ashamed of her actions as she woke up and looked at Nathaniel sitting in the corner of her room, dressed in his usual royal attire.

"What are you sorry for, Elliana? You did nothing wrong. Anyone in your place would’ve been scared and clung to the first person she had seen who saved her from that horrifying event," Nathaniel felt hurt that she would apologize like that just because she hugged him when he wasn’t wearing a shirt.

But it was for good. At least one of them knew their limits and knew what was right and wrong.

He sighed and took a deep breath. Right now wasn’t the time to think about all those things. There were more pressing matters at hand.

"Elliana, concentrate harder. I want you to tell me who it was. Who the hell contacted you? I only want to hear the truth. Try harder and think about all the things that were said to you," Nathaniel said, and Elliana closed her eyes before she started speaking about what exactly happened.

She raised her hand and looked at the cross mark in her hand.

"Are you in a position to come with me?" Nathaniel asked, and though Elliana was taken aback by everything happening, she nodded her head softly.

"Okay," she stood from her place, and Nathaniel immediately rushed forward when he saw her almost falling.

But before his hand could touch her, a hand made up of ice formed on the ground, holding her up, making Elliana widen her eyes, and she almost stumbled back in shock, her foot entangling in the carpet.

"Oh my-"

She was about to fall backward when multiple ’kach’ sounds echoed, and it almost felt like something was holding her in place.

When she turned around, she saw weird branches-like things, and her heart skipped a beat in horror.

"Nath, what is happening?" Elliana asked, horrified of even the air she was breathing. Nothing looked normal. Like she wasn’t in a normal world anymore.

Everything scared her.

"Calm down, Elliana. I want you to take deep breaths. Hey, don’t look at it. Just look at me. You know I won’t let anything happen to you. Just believe me. Give me your hand. Place it on mine softly," Nathaniel stepped towards her cautiously and melted the ice in front of her.

As soon as Elliana placed her hand in his, he pulled her close to him, cupping her face as he looked into her eyes.

Only her powers would be able to tell him what exactly was going on here.

’What is happening?’ He tried to communicate with the powers, his pupils dilating when he noticed the powers had formed a much-refined body now.

They were starting to form a face for real.

’What do you think is happening? We are refining. It wasn’t the second lock. Two locks have been unlocked together. The third lock unlocked the moment you hugged her. The witch, whoever did it knew that you would come and hold her. That’s why she unlocked one lock and did the other one in a way that it would be unlocked by consuming energy,’ the powers explained, and Nathaniel sighed.

She consumed his energy without even knowing about it. It was probably the reason why she threw herself in his arms subconsciously.

She wanted to take some powers from him. So now she had three locks undone. Nathaniel clenched his hand.

Great. Just what he needed on his already piled-up plate of problems.

"Let’s go. It looks like we will have to put your powers to the test," Nathaniel said, and Elliana hummed, not leaving his hand, afraid something would pop out of nowhere and try to hurt her.

Nathaniel brought them to the University, which was the only place he knew where no matter what she would do, it wouldn’t affect the outside world. He had already informed the Dean who immediately appeared as soon as they walked to the field where Elliana had battled with that teacher.

"What is going on, Nathaniel? Why did you call me so urgently?" The dean asked, his gaze flickering to the girl who hid behind Nathaniel.

A feeling of deja vu washed over him, remembering how she had tried to hide behind Nathaniel when the prince had brought her here for the meeting.

And for some reason, every time she is shy like this, she never brings any good news.

"Check her strength," Nathaniel said firmly.

"Do you take me as a fool? I am not going to do it. The last time was enough," The Dean looked at the girl warily.

"Do it. There’s something going on here that you don’t have any idea about. I am in no mood to joke about anything," Nathaniel said, and the dean sighed.

"You better have a good reason for it," the dean said before he turned to Elliana.

"Come forward, little girl. I am not going to touch you. Rather, I want you to concentrate your powers on that wall in front of you. The walls of this University are very strong. I want you to chant a spell that I will tell you, and the kind of damage you do on that wall will decide how defined your strength has become," The Dean said, and Elliana hummed.

"Feuerangriff," the dean whispered in her ears, and Elliana looked at Nathaniel, who smiled at her encouragingly, making her nod.

"Feuerangriff," Elliana whispered, extending her hands outwards facing the wall.

Boom! The loud sound echoed, and the dean smiled at Nathaniel.

"No damage. I think you were uselessly worried," the dean said.

"But that sound -" Nathaniel started.

"As I said, the walls are strong. The powers tried to attack, but they couldn’t do much damage," the dean explained.

Nathaniel heaved a sigh of relief before smiling at Elliana.

"There’s nothing to worry about," Nathaniel said, and Elliana smiled awkwardly.

"I don’t think so," Elliana whispered before she clicked her fingers, and as soon as she did that, the wall she had aimed at had crumbled, and a large hole with a radius of one meter formed in the center of it.

The dean and Nathaniel - "..."

"Nothing to worry about, hmm?" Nathaniel asked.

"She is the best!" The dean showed his thumbs to the girl, and Nathaniel glared at him.

"Fine. I get it. Send her back, and we should talk about it," The Dean said, and Nathaniel clicked his fingers, making Elliana appear back in her room.

He didn’t accompany her this time. He wanted to listen to what the dean had to say this time.

"Before I tell you anything, I want you to tell me what’s going on first," The Dean asked, and Nathaniel sighed before he clicked his fingers and made the wall just like it was before.

That was the power of someone who could manipulate timelines and space.

The dean looked at the mixed-breed prince and scoffed inwardly. He was clearly showing off his powers.

Nathaniel and Dean walked to his office where Nathaniel told him bits of what was going on. He told him that Elliana was a mysterious girl with unknown origins, but he had come to know that there was some kind of lock system inside her.

He came to know about it after talking with her powers when he found her.

She was currently living with the vampire prince because she was married to him, and every day has been a struggle for her to keep her powers in control.

"The youngest Vampire prince? The one with the curse? The same prodigy beast prince?" The dean asked, his eyes wide as saucers, and Nathaniel groaned, leaning back in his chair with his hand over his eyes as he cursed the complications in his mind.

"Yes, the same one," he answered, the sudden urge to growl and break things taking over.

"This is not good. A prodigy beast prince and the witch with god knows what kind of powers locked inside her are living together," the dean commented.

"As if I don’t know about it," Nathaniel snapped.

He took a few deep breaths before looking at the dean.

Why was he snapping at a person who was only here to help him and make things easier?

"I am sorry, I didn’t mean to snap like that," Nathaniel said, and the dean sighed.

"I know. I don’t mind. We can’t fathom what kind of destiny this girl is born with," the dean said, looking at the forms and adding a few more points about Elliana to warn the teachers.

"She has been brought back from the dead. What do you expect?" Nathaniel murmured under his breath.

"By the way, it’s just a question that rose in my head. What do you think? The vampire prince thinks Elliana is a human, someone he hates. If they ever stood face to face, who would win?" The Dean asked, and Nathaniel sighed.

"Is there a doubt?" He asked, playing with the paperweight.

"Elliana?" The dean wanted to confirm, and Nathaniel shook his head.

"Sebastian will win. Even if there were two witches like Elliana in question, he would win without a doubt. You have no idea what kind of beast he possesses inside him.

Do you even know who was the person who cursed his mother?" Nathaniel asked, and the dean shook his head.

"I have heard the tale but don’t know anything for sure. Wasn’t it some old witch?" The dean asked.

"Well, it wasn’t just some random old witch. It was the queen of the witch world. The mother of Arizona and Azura. Elliana’s grandmother," Nathaniel chuckled at the couple’s twisted fate.
