"Are you sure about it? I think you should think twice before taking any such decision. I am not sure if she would really like it. Don’t get me wrong, but she might think you are doing this to spy on her, and you know when she gets angry, things don’t turn out well," Marcello said to the girls who rolled their eyes.

"We have thought it through. You don’t have to worry about it. This is the only way I will be able to stay with her, and I am not leaving her," Glow signed to Marcello, who took a deep breath before nodding.

"Fine. If that’s your decision, just know that -" Marcello held her hand with a comforting look.

"Professional life is different from personal life. If you get caught, I didn’t know anything about it, and don’t you dare take my name," Marcello said with a shameless smile.

Glow and the girls - "..."

"You are seriously afraid of her? A Duke is afraid of a human?" Glow signed to him quickly that he couldn’t understand, and he looked at Sasha for help.

"She is saying that you are afraid of Elliana even when you are a Duke?" Sasha said as she applied some ointment to her legs.

Using a leg prosthetic all the time when she is working really takes a toll on her leg amputation sometimes. Sasha looked at her almost empty cream container.

"I have to buy a new one soon. Geez, I really don’t like going to that part of the city," Sasha said, and Misha smiled.

"Elliana already got these wolves to buy the product for you from their part of the city," Misha signed to Sasha, and she smiled.

"She really remembers everything even when she is in problems herself," Sasha commented, and Glow smiled softly before looking at her hands.

"Do you guys think she would love it when I apply to be around her all the time?" Glow signed to the girls.

"She won’t," Misha crossed her hands, and Glow smiled.

"I know," she signed.

"Honestly, Glow. She would be furious. She tries her best to hide her life from us because she doesn’t want us to interfere. I am sure she is just trying to save her family from our wrath. How dare they bully her?!" Sasha smashed the container on the ground, and Marcello raised his brows at them.

"I know, right? Just one hint on who her family members are, and I will personally hang their heads on the entrance of the room she would walk in as a solitaire gift," Natasha signed, and Marcello loosened his collar.

No wonder Elliana is always ready to risk everything for these girls. He doesn’t even know if they should be protected from the world or if the world needs to be protected from them. There were thirty of them, and if they planned everything like Elliana did, they would be the biggest problem for even the royals.

"You are going a bit overboard," Marcello chuckled awkwardly.

"Anyway, have you prepared the things I asked you for?" Glow signed to Marcello.

"Does Elliana know you are using her money to spy on her?" Marcello walked to his room and brought the package that he got delivered by one of his most trusted men, who he was sure were ready to die for him because he kind of saved his family from a big debt and loan sharks.

"I use my hard-earned money," Glow rolled her eyes after signing.

"We all get paid for our work differently by Elliana. Do you really think we do nothing when we don’t have any missions?" Misha explained, and Marcello hummed.

He really doesn’t know anything about the girl he claimed to like. Was that the reason Elliana doesn’t approve of him even after putting on so much effort? Though these days she has become more lenient and stopped kicking him away whenever he holds Glow’s hands, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t recognize the wariness in her eyes.

"Just be careful, Glow. I know that you are doing this for Elliana, but you know how she is. This can turn really bad for you. From what I know and heard from her, she has changed households after this one-year break. She might actually be really happy this time. And what you guys would be doing might snatch that little happiness she has found," Marcello commented before walking out of the house, looking at the wolves who scoffed at him.

Yes. They still haven’t become friends even after all this time. Marcello ruffled his hair, pausing when he saw one of the she-wolves looking at him intensely.

He stared into her eyes, noticing how she was looking at him with a weird expression. Something along with the lines of Pity? Sympathy?

Meanwhile, in the vampire royal Kingdom, Freya, Ruth, and Carla, who were chatting with Aubrey over some snacks, raised their brows when they heard a little sneeze coming from the entrance.

Freya raised her brows and immediately stood from her place in shock.

"Stephano, what the hell happened to you guys? Why are you all drenched from head to toe? It’s not even raining outside," Freya asked, and Ruth looked at her son before raising her brows.

"Don’t ask me, Second mom. Ask this bastard," Stephano commented, and Freya peeked behind Stephano and Angelo where Sebastian was walking inside the palace with his girl in his arms as he hid her from everyone’s gaze.

"Aacchhoo!" Elliana sneezed again, and Stephano rolled his eyes.

"What were you guys seriously doing? How did she catch a cold?" Aubrey stood from her place, and Vincenzo ruffled his hair, sprinkling water everywhere, making Elliana giggle softly, and Vincenzo looked at her with a smile.

"Stop laughing, you guys!" Stephano warned, and Elliana bit the inside of her cheeks.

Ruth looked at her sons and then at the human girl in Sebastian’s arms.

She remembered Stephano once mentioning how he was quite fond of Elliana. She hadn’t thought much about things at that time, but seeing her sons being so lively around her, maybe she was too quick to judge her.

"This bastard here thought it was a good decision to jump into the river from above the cliff with her in his hand. What would’ve happened if her head had hit a rock or something? He would’ve healed in some time, but what about her?" Stephano said at the same time when Abramo and others walked in.

"He jumped with her? Have you lost it? Oh my god. What is wrong with you, Sebastian? You must be scared to wits, poor girl, " Freya rushed to the girl.

"Don’t pity her, second mom. She is equally responsible for this. They are both crackheads. She said she trusts him even more than her life," Stephano said, and Sebastian rolled his eyes at the useless banter before turning to the staircase.

"Come here, let me see her temperature. Should I call a doctor?" Carla walked to the girl, and Sebastian scowled before pulling Elliana even closer to his chest.

Ruth’s hand paused mid-air.

"What are you doing?" Ruth asked.

"No!" Sebastian said, and Abramo raised his brows.

When he had thought of marrying him with a human princess, he thought that she would take care of him and calm down his anger, but what was this? Sebastian was now becoming possessive of her too.

Abramo sighed. He can’t be with kids these days. Isn’t she supposed to be a little afraid of him too? What is she clinging onto him for dear life? And she trusts him more than her life? Has she seen what this so-called prince is capable of? Abramo looked at Aubrey, his brows raising when he noticed the soft smile on his wife’s face.

Or maybe he was thinking too much about it?

"The thing is, she isn’t wearing a dress decent enough for being drenched into. That’s why he is hiding her," Vincenzo said before he walked past Sebastian towards his room.

"Though it was risky, I must say, it was fun," Angelo winked at Elliana, who smiled.

Stephano looked at his brothers who were talking like they had some kind of adventure of life and sighed.

It would be a hard job handling this Kingdom. He can’t even handle his brothers, and now this mysterious girl who is even more naughty than all of them combined. Stephano took the towel that his secretary immediately brought for him and pushed the clean towel on Elliana’s face so she could wipe herself as he walked past her.

"Hey, that’s mean!" Elliana said, and Stephano hummed.

"As if jumping into the water was the best activity. And don’t blame it on Sebastian. I clearly saw you leaving his hand when he grabbed the tree to save you guys from falling into the water. You jumped into that river, followed by everyone," Stephano said to her.

"And did you not enjoy it? Was it not refreshing?" Elliana blinked innocently, and Stephano gritted his teeth before turning around and leaving, not answering her questions.
