The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 241: An angelic soul

Chapter 241: An angelic soul

"Elliana, I wanted to talk to you about something," Marcello stopped Elliana before she could exit the area, and she turned to him.

"What is this all about?" She asked, tilting her head cutely, and Marcello sighed.

"Can I see your face? I honestly feel like I am talking to a spy or agent whenever I look at you," Marcello sighed.

"You already got to know my name, hear my real voice, meet my team, hide with the people I have befriended for my hidden motives. Isn’t that enough for you? Don’t become too greedy, Marcello. Let’s not forget that you are a vampire Duke," Elliana said.

Marcello narrowed his eyes. He didn’t like the way she addressed him as if his intentions were still unclear to her.

"Elliana, what is that supposed to -"

"Do you think I am a fool, Marcello?" Elliana smiled, her sarcasm showing in her eyes.

"Do you think you will come to me and tell me that you are in danger from the royals and you need protection, and like a softhearted human I will help you?" Elliana asked.

"But isn’t that exactly what happened? Apart from the fact that you already knew I was in danger," Marcello asked.

Though he was putting up a confused and innocent facade, even he felt like he was about to be exposed, and Elliana could see it in his eyes.

"One of the most important and powerful Vampire Dukes who is respected by all is in danger from the royals? The same royals who want to meet him and ’Capture’ him because they want his support on their side? And why not? This cunning Duke has the entire black market in his hands," Elliana said, and the more she said, the more Marcello’s expression changed.

"The only reason you are trying to hide from the royals, or should I say the two sides of the royal princes, the human blood-sucking one and the vampire blood-sucking one is because you don’t know which side to take, and you are still contemplating things," Elliana answered her own questions.

Marcello didn’t say anything for some time and just leaned on the tree.

"For a human girl who doesn’t have anything related to the vampire Kingdom, you know quite too much," Marcello’s voice turned cold and dark.

There was no point hiding the truth anymore. Since Elliana already knows so much about him, he won’t be surprised if she says that he has been deliberately living with the wolves and risking his life while spying on the royal vampires to see what they were up to.

"Now, let’s come to the point. What did you want to talk to me about?" Elliana smiled at him, and he sighed.

He had intended to sugarcoat his words. Use the best coaxing language he could.

He just saw how these girls pacified Elliana and won over her heart, so he was ready to use that kind of method too, keeping his Duke’s dignity aside, but now that she has said that she knows all about his plans, he didn’t want to waste her time with useless words.

"I want your support," Marcello said, and Elliana raised her brows at his choice of words.

Elliana looked at all the girls and knew this wasn’t the right place to talk about it.

"Glow, do you want to marry him?" Elliana asked, and she smiled inside her scarf when she noticed both of them blushing hard, as they looked at her with wide eyes.

"Hey! I am not asking for that kind of support," Marcello nearly shouted at her, his ears red as hot chili, and Elliana raised her brows.

"So you don’t want to marry her?" She asked, making him widen his eyes. He shook his head fervently, not wanting Glow to misunderstand his intentions, his serious and cold facade shattering immediately.

"Of course, I do. I want to marry her as quickly as I can and -" Marcello paused when he realized he was tricked by Elliana once again, and he scowled.

"This girl!" He gritted his teeth.

"Glow, you know what to do. Take Natasha to the doctor and get her checked properly. I don’t want to take any risks, okay? Also, I don’t think I would be able to come and give the money to those wolves in the three days. Make the transactions on my side," Elliana sighed.

She looked at the seven girls who were looking at her like she was their savior or something, and she suppressed the urge to smack their heads again.

"Next time -" Elliana started but paused.

"There won’t be any next time," Elliana said, and everyone nodded at her.

"There won’t be," the signed, and Elliana smiled and turned to Marcello.

"Regarding your support and stuff, let’s talk about it over tea some other time. I am in a hurry right now. If my guardian found out I am bunking classes again, he would not like it and if he suspected anytime, our glory would be over," Elliana said, talking about her identity too.

"Okay. Decide the best-suited time and I’ll come to meet -" Marcello paused when Elliana suddenly stepped closer to him and hugged him.

Thud.

It was almost as if something dropped from his chest into his abdomen. His heart skipped a beat at the sudden affection.

His hands trembled and he hated himself for having such a reaction just because this human girl was hugging him. It was almost as if she gave him the recognition he had been looking for in their two years of collaboration.

His heart acted like a child who was finally observed and praised by his big brother and he hated this reaction.

"I will never forget what you did for me today. Thank you for stepping up to help me save my girls. It wouldn’t have been possible without you. I... You know we can’t afford the animosity with the youngest masked prince," Elliana said, and Marcello nodded.

He raised his hand to put them around her when she stepped back from him, leaving his hands in the air.

Marcello - "..." So much for a compassionate hug. It probably didn’t even last more than 10 seconds.

Well, something is better than nothing, right?

"I know that you are going to come out of your shell soon for the royal party. I will look forward to it," Elliana smiled at him before turning, leaving a confused Marcello behind.

"How the hell does she always have the latest news?" He thought before shaking his head.

Elliana walked out of the forest and was surprised to see Alcinder still waiting for her.

"Why did you wait? I told you to go, didn’t I?" She asked.

What is with these people always staying behind even when she asks them to leave?

Now this gesture would be loved by many people, but not her. If they try to help her so much, how is she going to get a chance to get into trouble and call Nath, who hasn’t been replying to her for some time?

Elliana scowled.

"I was worried about you. How would you’ve gotten back to the University? It’s almost an abandoned place. I know you have some moves, but it’s still not good to risk your life like that. We don’t want to lose an angelic heart now, do we?" He smiled, and Elliana’s annoyance immediately dissipated aw

Way is everyone coaxing her with the sweet words today? She sighed, sitting in the car with her hands crossed on her chest.

Alcinder looked at her from the corner of his eyes and suppressed the urge to smile at her childish behavior.

She was probably the first girl who was so offended because someone wanted to help her.

Meanwhile, Sebastian, who was going to meet his wife, looked out of the window thoughtfully. No matter how many times he thought about things, they weren’t adding up.

Every time he came to a conclusion about something, it became weirder and more confusing. He closed his eyes and leaned back in his seat.

"How far are we?" Sebastian asked, wanting to meet his wife already and calm his raging heart and mind.

"It’s ten minutes, sir," Lucas said, and Sebastian hummed.
