Chapter 208: How to kill rogue vampires?

"Princess! Open the door," Miss Zoya rushed to the room when she heard that someone was inside the princess’ room.

Elliana walked to the door and opened the door with a confused look on her face.

"Is everything alright?" She asked, and Miss Zoya looked behind her.

"If you don’t mind, can we check your room?" Miss Zoya asked.

Check her room? For what exactly? Elliana’s eyes narrowed, and she tilted her head.

"Was it demanded by Mr. Marino? Is he still suspicious of me after everything and all the times I proved myself innocent?" Elliana quirked her brows.

"The guards said that they saw someone suspicious lurking on your balcony. You are a human, princess. You have no idea what kind of supernatural species wants to harm our Prince, and their easy target will be you. Our prince cares about you a lot," Miss Zoya didn’t bother answering her previous questions.

Elliana looked at the caretaker before she took a deep breath and hummed in agreement, nodding at the guards.

"Go ahead. Check it," Elliana said.

The guards looked around everything, going as far as looking into her bathroom, and she clenched her hands. Weren’t they being too much now?

As soon as one of the guards placed his hand on the handle of her wardrobe, something snapped inside her.

She had her doubts earlier, but now she was sure they probably saw Yaretzi in her room. She will have to talk to the witch about it.

"Stop," she said calmly, but her voice held authority, and Miss Zoya turned to the princess, immediately understanding the problem.

"Are you guys stupid? Don’t you know not to touch a woman’s wardrobe without permission?" Miss Zoya pushed the guards out of the way, and Elliana’s eyes drooped as she looked at the guards, who looked down at his feet in shame and apology.

"Can I?" Miss Zoya asked respectfully, and Elliana turned around, not saying anything.

Miss Zoya opened the door, and seeing nothing suspicious, she closed the door before sighing.

"I think I need to inform the prince about this when he returns. If the guards saw something and we weren’t able to find it, the chances are it was a witch. We are sorry to bother you. Please close your balcony door for extra safety," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana suppressed the urge to scoff.

As if they would really be able to stop a witch with closed windows and doors. She thought before something caught her attention.

"You said the prince is not at the palace? I am sure you said that he would join us for dinner for sure when I said he was probably busy," Elliana said, and Miss Zoya looked towards the guards, who nodded at her and left the room.

Once Miss Zoya was sure they were alone, she closed the balcony door herself before drawing in the blinds.

"The thing is, Princess, something urgent came up and the prince had to leave. I am not sure what it is, but I heard them talking about capturing some vampires," Miss Zoya said.

Thump.

Elliana’s heart felt like it fell into the pit of her stomach.

The Prince went to capture some vampires? It only meant one thing. That snitch Tian told everything to Mr Marino, despite his promise to her.

"I am just a call away if you need anything," Miss Zoya said, and Elliana smiled forcefully before nodding and closing the door.

This wasn’t good.

Mr. Marino has gone to the place full of those vampires who claim they suck vampire blood.

It doesn’t look more than a faux pretense, but what if- what if it’s true?

The chances were less than ten per cent because even she hadn’t heard anything about it and -

She rushed to grab her phone to confirm the information first. If this information was true, she’d have to do anything to go there so that the prince wouldn’t get hurt.

Elliana quickly dialed Marcello’s number and waited for him to pick up.

"Please tell me you have called me with a piece of good news. Have you decided on the formula of what kind of drugs you would be using -"

"I am going to ask you one question, and I want a simple answer. Is it true that there are more vampires out there who eat other vampires? And I am talking about vampires apart from the youngest prince of the royal Empire," Elliana said, her heart pounding in her ears as she anticipated his answer.

"How do you always have all the latest information about vampires without me telling you about it? What is your source?" Marcello took a deep breath.

"It’s true. Recently, there have been some rumors among Dukes that rogue vampires are emerging. Those rogue vampires kill and eat other vampires.

It’s like rogue wolves. They attack their own species," Marcello said, and Elliana stumbled back, falling on the sofa in shock.

The rogue vampire kills and eats other vampires. It means those people were not flexing and threatening her uselessly.

Are those vampires powerful enough to hurt her Mr. Marino? No. Mr. Marino was the strongest of all.

But even if they are not able to hurt him, what about his team? What if they hurt his team? Mr. Marino would be devastated if he lost someone from his team.

Elliana gulped.

"Solution? How can I kill these vampires?" Elliana asked, and Marcello, who was playing chess with Glow and Misha, raised his brows, standing from the table.

Glow looked at him in question as they all heard Elliana’s words loud and clear through the speaker.

"Hold your horses, Elliana. Those are just rumors. There’s little to no information available about these vampires. How can I give you any solution?" Marcello said, and Elliana looked around, feeling uneasy, a strange fear in her heart.

However, this time, it wasn’t the fear of being exposed or them touching or hurting her. It was the fear for the safety of Mr. Marino. His healthy self was important for her survival here.

She took a deep calming breath and closed her eyes.

"If...If I want to kill... No. Apart from poison, what is something that ensures a vampire’s death? Like for once and all," Elliana asked, and Marcello narrowed his eyes.

He had never heard Elliana asking these kinds of questions before, and for her to be this serious and anxious, it was obvious that someone close to her was into some kind of problem.

Since the vampires involved in the matter eat and drink vampire blood, it means the person close to her is also a vampire that she wants to save and -

Marcello’s eyes suddenly widened.

"You saw them? You f*cking met rogue vampires!" Marcello raised his voice, and Elliana, who was barely handling it, clenched her hand around the phone.

"That’s not the answer to my f*cking question, Marcello. I am short on time," Elliana said, and Marcello gulped.

This was the first time she spat his name like this with such urgency.

"I... Take out their heart, burst it completely, crush it, dismember their head out of their body, crush their brain, and burn them completely? These are pretty much all these apart from the poison and starving," Marcello said, and Elliana hummed.

"I’ll talk to you later," She gulped, roaming in her room.

Now, all she needs to do is find the outfit that won’t give her away, a sword that she is comfortable with, a mask to hide her face, a bike and -

Damn it! She needs quite a lot of things. Elliana bit her nails, feeling anxious.
