Chapter 187: The moon City Wolves

"Are you getting ready to go to the university?" Sebastian asked as soon as he entered the room.

They returned home two hours ago, and since he had to reply to Vincenzo, he had gone straight to his office.

"Yes. Do you need anything, Mr. Pr- Marino?" Elliana asked as she grabbed her bag, and Sebastian shook his head.

"Nothing. My elder sister’s birthday party was scheduled earlier for some reason and it’s tomorrow. Do you want to go shopping in the later evening?" Sebastian asked while taking out his clothes.

"I already have enough dresses that I am not sure if I will be able to wear in the entire year. If there’s no theme, I don’t want to overdo it," Elliana smiled before nodding at him and leaving the room.

Sebastian looked at the back of the leaving girl, his lips pressed into a thin line.

This wasn’t like her at all. She was behaving quite oddly from the moment she returned from the trip. It’s like she is in a hurry to get away from him.

Remembering what had happened in the Inn and how he had hurt her. Maybe she is just peachy about that. He sighed and walked to his phone.

He was about to leave when Elliana’s drawing book came into his vision. It’s been so long since he saw that sketchbook. Did she draw something new? He narrowed his eyes and opened the sketchbook, his brows raising when he saw a weird circle-like thing that was full of different colors.

It was nothing special. It looks more like random circling from different colors, and Sebastian closed the drawing book before throwing it on the table.

He walked to the door to leave and was about to exit when he suddenly remembered something.

He walked back to the sketchbook and opened the same drawing.

His hand clenched around the book as he looked at the middle of the doodling circles. It wasn’t some normal doodle. These were the energy circles or what they were known to look like.

These are not normal and their presence means the presence of a dark witch around you. Apart from that imposter vampire girl, Sebastian doesn’t think he has seen any witch around Princess so far.

Does that mean she is having nightmares of these dark witches? He gritted his teeth before contacting Lucas.

"Why aren’t we able to contact Madonna? I told you to locate her, didn’t I? She is the only one who can help us in finding the truth," Sebastian walked out of his room.

Meanwhile, Elliana rushed to the car, making everyone look at her in confusion. The chef looked at the messily finished food on the table before shifting his gaze to the princess.

"Something is off about her today. In her one month of staying here, she has never hurried her food like this. It’s even one hour before the University starts. Could it be that she wanted to rush out of here because something bad happened between her and our prince?" The chef asked, and Miss Zoya who herself felt that something was wrong, sighed.

"Let’s just hope for the best. I also thought this trip would make things better between them, but that doesn’t look like the case," she said.

After a twenty-minute journey, Elliana got out of the car on the other side of the road in front of the University.

"You can go. Thank you for the ride," She said to the chauffeur, who smiled at her and left, making her take a deep breath.

She looked around for quite a few minutes, and when she didn’t find anyone familiar, she raised her hand to stop a taxi.

"Where to, Miss?" The elderly driver asked with a polite smile, and Elliana looked out of the window.

"Moon City. The sunflower fields," Elliana said, and the driver looked at her through the rearview mirror.

The driver could see that the girl sitting in the back seat was a human. Why does she want to go to Moon City then?

"Do you know what kind of area Moon City sunflower fields are, Miss?" The driver asked, and Elliana looked at him before nodding with a smile.

"What kind of area is that, sir?" She rather asked.

"Well, uhh...I don’t know if you know about them, but that place is known for harmful and predatory animals who are the rulers of the night," the driver tried to explain in as simple language as he could, and Elliana smiled inwardly.

"It’s a good thing I am going there during the day, right?" Elliana said, and the driver chuckled.

"Of course," the driver said, and for the rest of the journey, she only enjoyed the outside world.

She wrapped her scarf around her neck and covered her face so that no one identifies her even if they see her.

This was the first time she was bunking her university lectures. Thankfully Mr. Marino didn’t come to drop her himself or it would’ve become problematic for her.

Elliana took a deep breath, unaware of the fact that Dexter, who saw her getting down from the car and was about to call for her from inside the cafe saw her getting inside the cab and was following her right now inside the cab right behind them.

Elliana dialed a number, waiting for the person to pick up.

However, when the person didn’t pick up even after three full rings, she gritted her teeth and stuffed her phone back in her purse, annoyed.

There was no other means to call the elderly couple, and Marcello was unreachable. As much as she trusted those people that they won’t betray her if she gave them enough money and resources, a part of her heart didn’t want to trust them too much.

Those were wolves she was talking about. Hungry and dangerous wolves who hate vampires with a Passion.

"Please drop me here," Elliana got out of the car and paid the fare, walking towards the abandoned road with a sigh.

She looked behind her, and when she noticed no one was following her, she hid her face with her scarf completely and sprayed the lavender scent on her in excessive amounts to hide her actual scent.

As she moved forward to some distance, Dexter who was following her, looked around, his eyes narrowing.

Why the hell did she come to the Moon City? As far as he remembered she said her house was in the Heart Moon city, right? Is she in some kind of problem? She looks a bit nervous and scared too.

Dexter hid in the fields and kneeled, following her while making as little noise as possible.

Grrrrrr... The sound of wolves started echoing in the area, and Dexter felt his heartbeat increasing when he saw the wolves coming into a pack and surrounding Eliana.

It was dangerous and would prove deadly for him too, but he wanted to help her.

He was about to step forward when he saw Elliana raising her hand in the air and bringing it down.

To say he was surprised would be an understatement. The way all the wolves stopped growling and snarling and sat down like tamed wolves, shocked him.

"Marcello!" Elliana shouted at the top of her lungs, and Dexter noticed how a man exited a dinky house, not just a man, a vampire Duke.

Dexter gulped, unsure of what was happening.

Should he leave or stay and see what it was all about? He looked around thoughtfully, his heart thumping when his gaze met with a wolf, looking directly at him with his saliva dripping from the side of his mouth.
