Chapter 184: She can calm him
"Sit here," Sebastian settled Elliana on the edge of the bed before he paced around, his anger still not subsiding.
However, this time it was on himself rather than those people.
"Mr. Marino, I am scared," Elliana whispered, and Sebastian paused before gazing at her.
He walked to her and kneeled in front of her before grabbing her cheeks and rubbing her skin with his thumb to wipe her tears.
"I know, my princess. I am sorry that I wasn’t there -"
"I am scared of you," Elliana confessed, and Sebastian’s hand froze on her skin.
He kept looking into her eyes before sighing.
"What can I do to make it up to you?" Sebastian asked.
"I don’t know," She looked away, and he ran his hand through his hair angrily.
"Then who knows, Princess? How am I supposed to know what to do when my woman is scared of me?!" His dark eyes made Elliana whimper softly, making him sign frustratingly.
"Don’t cry, please. It’s making me more angry. This is my first time too. I don’t care what others think after I punish someone. God, you are making this hard for -" Sebastian’s eyes widened when he felt Elliana’s soft lips on his neck.
"Maybe try calming down?" She whispered, her tears wetting his skin, and he sighed.
"It’s not in my rules, Princess. I have to find the second person who helped that girl in this tyranny," he gritted his teeth, pulling her close so that he was hugging her.
"I won’t spare a single person who dared to raise as much as a finger towards you, and they dared to not only touch you but do something so obnoxious! The devil inside me will only calm down when I’ll bathe my hands in their blood," Sebastian said before pulling away, looking dead into her eyes, and Elliana pressed her lips into a thin line.
"Make me sleep at least?" Elliana said, and Sebastian hummed.
"Go wash up first," Sebastian said, his gaze traveling to the back of her thighs that had a small burn mark as she stood and started walking towards the bathroom, and he sighed.
After ten minutes, Elliana returned after taking a shower.
She didn’t say anything and just got on the bed to sleep and forget about all the things that were replaying in her head like a never-ending reel. The fatigue of everything that happened in that small duration and her powers reacting, finally took a toll on her body.
Sebastian took a quick shower and looked at his phone as soon as he exited the bathroom, noticing a message from Vincenzo. He signed and dropped the phone on the nightstand before getting into bed. He will talk to his brother later. His princess was more important right now.
"Princess, come -" Sebastian paused when he heard her soft breathing.
’Stupid girl. How can you be already asleep?’ he narrowed his eyes before cupping her cheeks.
Something was definitely wrong with him. No matter what he tells himself, the emotions he felt when he saw his princess crying and breaking as if someone stabbed him straight in the heart can’t be denied.
He was starting to feel for this innocent girl in his arms, and he doesn’t think that these emotions are just any feelings he can suppress or bury deep inside his heart.
"Mr. Prince, thank you," Elliana murmured, and Sebastian raised his gaze from her lips to her eyes that were looking back at her, her eyes drooped with sleep, and he sighed.
"How dare you tempt a devil to make you sleep and then fall asleep alone? If you ask me to do anything, it’s my duty to help you with that," Sebastian said, and Elliana smiled before humming and turning around.
"I am fine now. I am feeling much better. What did you do with the girl, Mr. Prince?" She deliberately turned around because she knew she wouldn’t be able to look into his eyes and not expose her and her emotions to him if she kept looking at him with so much affection in her eyes.
"You don’t need to know that. Just know that nothing will happen to you as long as you are around me. I will tear apart everyone who will think about anything against you," Sebastian said, pulling her close, spooning her to comfort her.
"And what if that someone is you?" Elliana asked without a second thought, and Sebastian smiled.
"You don’t need to worry about that. You can only tear the hearts of those people who actually have a heart," Sebastian murmured.
Even he has started to realize that his heart has been taken by the princess long ago, and if she goes anywhere, she will take his heart with her.
"Just sleep now. We will be back in our home in six hours. And when you enter that place, it’s back to Mr. Marino or Sebastian for you. I am not going to hear Mr. Prince again. And if you still dared to go against my orders, I assure you that you won’t be able to go to University for a week," Sebastian said.
"You will lock me up in the room for calling you, Mr. Prince?" Elliana turned around with wide eyes, not believing her eyes, and Sebastian’s eyes immediately calmed down, turning back to their natural hazel color, making Elliana look at them in awe.
Sebastian looked into Elliana’s eyes, unsure if he should interpret what he said or just let his innocent Princess stay in her delusional world.
"Hmmm... Something like that," Sebastian smiled inside the mask before pulling her close.
She didn’t mind the proximity to him today. Maybe it was because she went through a lot of things and his warmth was comforting her, or because the way her heart increases its pace whenever she is so close to him was calming him, she liked it.
Elliana smiled and hid her face in his chest, making him chuckle.
"What are you smiling about? Even if I can’t see your face, I can feel your lips stretching over my shirt," Sebastian commented, and Elliana shook her head.
Sebastian wanted to probe her more, but it would be better if she sleeps early so that he can go outside and find who is the second man who helped that girl.
He has to talk to that Gabrielle girl too. Sebastian sighed.
It was amazing how just a touch of her lips on his neck and her whimpering eyes was enough to calm the devil inside him. And to say his grandpa could never do it even when he tried everything he could.
Sebastian sighed, Elliana’s soft breathing sounds, making his heart feel content, and he subconsciously pulled her close, placing his head over hers to feel her softness, the kind of softness that can cure him probably.
Let’s deal with the other culprit now. He sighed, his eyes going back to their primordial red color.
