Chapter 178: Find the witch on the ship

"There are people. I think the person is one of them," Hera looked at the person who was drifting down in the sea with a shocked look. Why was this person not trying to live? Hera thought, and for an experienced siren like her, it wasn’t hard to know that this so-called storm that was brewing in the sea was for these two people.

"Hera!" Hera felt her hand being grabbed before she was pulled out of the storm.

Artemis pulled her out to save her from drifting away further with the storm.

No. That’s not what happened. Artemis didn’t save her from the storm. The storm left her. The storm went for that person. And it wasn’t going there to harm that person drowning. The storm engulfed the person like it was protecting them from all kinds of marine life.

"Where are you looking? Quickly, let’s go," Artemis said, and Hera felt herself being pulled away to a further distance, the storm making it hard for her to see anything.

"Artemis, wait! There it is. The person who I was talking about!" Hera shouted, but Artemis didn’t look at her and just kept pulling her away.

"Don’t you know what happens when a storm like this comes? It won’t be long before a cyclone will be formed. I am sure watching and struggling in the eye of the cyclone is the last thing on your bucket list," Artemis said, and even though Hera wanted to go back and see who this person was, she knew Artemis was right.

The cyclone would be formed soon, and if that happened, there would be no saving her, and despite her energy and powers, she will die tonight.

"The cyclone, it won’t form," They heard a voice and both of them turned to Marianna.

"What is that supposed to mean, Marianna?" Hera asked, unsure if the girl felt the same energy she felt.

"Can’t you see the sky? It’s clear as hell, but the water is brewing with storms. It’s a witch’s doing, and I am sure no clan in the world would want to mess with the sirens despite what they are trying to do. They already will have to give an explanation of what they were doing when they threw this storm in our seas, in our regions," Marianna said, and Hera hummed.

"Well, if that’s the case, we don’t have anything to worry about. I think we should go and see why I sensed the same thing again," Hera said.

"We are not going near that ship full of vampires,"

"Well, that ship also has one of our -"

"It’s not negotiable, Hera. Topic close," Artemis’s eyes turned dark and Hera immediately quietened, knowing all too well he was becoming angry.

"But Artemis, if she is saying -" Marianna paused when she felt it, the vibrations in the water, and they widened their eyes before holding hands and turning towards the sea.

"Damn it!" Artemis groaned as a large wave came out of nowhere and swept them off further away for at least a kilometer.

They looked at the scene in horror as a blast occurred near the ship, their gaze following the water that was thrown toward the sky.

It went flying all the way to more than a hundred meters. It was magical even to them.

Even the tenth-grade siren, despite their strength, will have trouble doing something like this. The sirens looked at the ship.

"It’s a warning sign, Artemis. Maybe I was wrong. Maybe the witches are warning the vampires about something," Hera said.

"I don’t think there is any rumor going around about some new animosity between the species. What could it be?" Marianna asked.

Both the girls looked at Artemis who was still looking into the sky.

"Artemis -"

"A witch bled while doing this. I can see the hints," Artemis commented, and Hera narrowed her eyes.

"Why would a witch go to such an extent to warn a vampire? It doesn’t make sense -"

"Until they weren’t warning the vampires. They were suppressing a witch of their kind. A witch bled because she tried to suppress a powerful witch, but why would they need to do that? Why are they suppressing a witch? Could it be that a witch is living among the vampires in hiding?" Artemis asked, and Hera looked at Marianna.

"The witch must’ve been triggered when they fell into the ocean, and to protect themselves, they must’ve used their hidden energy that shouldn’t have been used. Only the strongest witches can use such kind of hiding techniques," Hera said.

"If that’s the case, we should find out about this Witch they are hiding and use this against them to threaten them into telling us who has the siren powers in this world," Marianna said, and Artemis nodded.

"Hera, I think it’s about time we go to the nation and you start making use of your siren’s beauty. Probably seduce a few people, and get some information about who were the people on this ship. Then we will study each and every one separately," Artemis said.

Marianna looked at the man with a disgusted expression.

"For someone who is going to marry Hera, you are quite lecherous, telling her to seduce men of other species. You can use any siren for the purpose. Aren’t you ashamed of yourself, Artemis?" Marianna scoffed, and Artemis smirked.

"I can indeed use anyone, but will anyone have the same trust as she has? Besides, what makes you think I will let anyone touch my Hera? I will go there with her. We will do it accordingly. It’s not like this is the first time we are doing it," Artemis said, and Hera smiled stiffly.

"I am afraid of going to the nation. That part is recently covered by the vampires. What if they smell us and -"

"Shhhh, nothing will happen. I promise. We have vampire friends too. They will help us. It’s important for us to find this witch who was on the ship with the vampires. I can’t help but feel that finding this witch will be our biggest achievement till now in this case of finding the hidden queen’s siren powers," Artemis said, and Hera gulped.

"What about Cleopatra? Will you tell her the truth?" She asked, and Artemis thinned his lips.

"I don’t think we need to do that. She handed us a task, and we are doing everything in its favor. As long as we don’t kill a witch or get into trouble, nothing will happen to us, don’t worry," Artemis hugged Hera, and she hummed.

"I will come too. I want to see that strong witch too," Marianna added, and they hummed.

’Let’s go and find this witch together who is so strong that she made the other witches bleed for her. She must be a leader or something for sure,’ Artemis thought.

Meanwhile, Hera looked at the ship thoughtfully. Though she agrees with everything these two were talking about, she still felt that the person had some siren characteristics. She sighed.
