Chapter 148: Awakening the monster in him

Meanwhile, Elliana who was finally able to get a hold of her touch on the ground, looked up into Sebastian’s eyes, feeling grateful to him for not leaving her hand.

If he wanted, he could have left her and stood straight to protect himself, but he is taking the blow with her.

"I will also protect you," Elliana smiled at Sebastian, who narrowed his eyes before huffing.

"Shut up, will you? Will you listen to me? Just keep your head on my chest. I won’t let anything happen to you," Sebastian said, and Elliana smiled before opening her palm wide to form the shield around them so he didn’t get hurt too much either while protecting her.

She smiled when the shield started forming, and took a deep breath before pressing her head further into Sebastian’s chest.

Sebastian noticed the sudden change too.

The ground and the small pebbles that were supposed to scratch his back like they were doing earlier were not hitting him anymore.

He narrowed his eyes before he noticed a tree with an elongated branch.

Good. They can use this to stop the motion before he can jump down with her in his arms.

They wouldn’t have gotten hit so many times if their bodies hadn’t touched the mountain surface. It would’ve been rather okay if they had fallen straight down.

Sebastian sighed and was about to hold the branch when he felt a sudden push out of nowhere, making them fall straight into the cliff, and he widened his eyes.

"Princess, don’t be afraid, okay? I know you might think it will hurt like hell but -"

"I know you will protect me," Elliana said with a soft smile on her face, and Sebastian looked at the girl in his arms, holding her tight to his chest before closing his eyes and rolling his body with her so that he could land straight on his legs.

"Close your eyes," he commanded her, and she hummed before hugging him like a koala bear. He was about to hold her bridal style, but seeing her clinging to him like this he looked down helplessly before landing, rolling on the ground softly.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

Something was off about this whole scenario. At first, he felt like the ground and rocks weren’t hurting them anymore, then he felt that weird push out of nowhere, and now this padded ground feeling.

It was almost as if rather than on the tough ground, he landed on some soft cushion.

There was no doubt this was some witch’s doing. But why the hell some witch would help them? They have always hated vampires.

Until and unless it’s related to Elliana.

Sebastian paused and looked at the girl before sighing.

Elliana didn’t leave him for a few seconds until she was sure they were not moving anymore.

"We are safe now, Princess," He said, and she looked up.

"Are you okay? Did you get badly hurt?" Elliana asked, and Sebastian looked at his hands.

The scratches were already healing.

"I am fine," He said and was about to ask her if she was okay when she beat him to it again.

"Close my eyes," Elliana asked.

"Hmm?" He looked at her, confused.

"Close my eyes as you do," she said, and Sebastian narrowed his eyes before placing his hand over her eyes.

As soon as Sebastian’s hand touched her eyes, without waiting for another second, Elliana took off his mask, catching him off-guard.

She raised her body, every part of her body rubbing on his as she stood on her knees.

"Thank you for giving me that ’someday’ hope," Elliana said, referring to how he said he would probably let her see his face someday.

"Th-" Sebastian couldn’t complete his sentence because the next moment, Elliana bent slightly and placed her lips on his forehead.

It was just a small peck, but the way she gently placed her lips on his forehead so sensually was what took Sebastian off-guard.

She bent further down and kissed his eyes, cupping his cheeks softly.

Sebastian could smell her blood from a few scratches that she probably got while falling, but he didn’t want to interfere with what she was doing either.

His heart increased its pace for the first time so loudly. This was probably the most simple thing after they have kissed so many times and seen each other’s half-naked bodies, but for some reason, it also felt like the most intimate stuff ever.

Sebastian gulped as she bent down and kissed his nose before placing her forehead on hers, his hand coming in between as he was closing her eyes that he wanted to remove so badly.

"You are the best thing that has happened to me so far," Elliana whispered, taking Sebastian by surprise before she pressed her lips to his and pushed him down so harshly that he fell on his back, making her climb on top of him.

She took control of the kiss, and as much as Sebastian was the dominant type, for once he loved that his kitten was being so active and passionate.

She bit his bottom lips sensually before nibbling it.

Sebastian thought that she was seeking entrance to his mouth and opened his lips slightly, but to his surprise rather than pushing her tongue in his mouth like he had guessed, she placed her hand on his chest before biting his lower lip even harsher.

"F*ck, Princess. Be a little gentle," Sebastian groaned when the intensity of her nibbling increased, and she bit hard, drawing some blood.

If someone had told him that he would be saying these words to a human ever in his life, he would’ve mocked them before taking their hearts off their chests, but now that it was happening for real, he didn’t know how to react anymore.

She was surprising him one after the other today.

"Sssshhhh," Elliana whispered, and Sebastian felt her dominant power entering him through her lips.

This energy. Why does it feel like she was a completely different person right now? Was this what they call the power of belief and trust? How come her kiss is so beautiful, intense, and full of passion?

Why does it feel like he has kissed her for real for the first time today? Sebastian removed his hand from above her eyes, hugging her as close as he could without hurting her.

"You are surely the first girl who kisses someone so passionately after falling down a cliff," Sebastian said, freezing Elliana in her place who was out of her daze.

"I... " Elliana tried to push herself away, but Sebastian smirked.
