"What should we play? Everyone has already gone back to their rooms to either sleep or have s*x with their partners," Melony said, and Drake sighed before placing his hand over her mouth.

"Why are you shushing me? It’s the truth, isn’t it? If you don’t believe me, you can go and check for yourselves. This inn’s walls are not so soundproof," Melony scoffed before she looked at Elliana, who had red ears before she looked at others who were looking at her with a knowing look.

Elliana wasn’t used to such talks.

"Haha, I think I drank a bit too much and can’t keep my thoughts straight. I should go for a walk," Melony said, quickly getting up, embarrassed, and Samantha chuckled at her tactics.

"Don’t mind her. You know how straightforward she is with her words and thoughts. But on a serious note, what should we be playing? I am not thinking about sleeping at all. Are you up for a game, Elliana?" Samantha asked, and Elliana looked down at her feet.

She wanted to go and rest, but she was too embarrassed to face Mr. Marino after the brazen text she sent him accidentally. Since then, she has been trying her best to keep herself busy with her friends so that he doesn’t approach her and find her alone.

"I think we can play a game or two as long as it doesn’t include flexing your powers," Elliana said, and Alcinder looked at her from under his lashes.

Was it just a coincidence that she was sitting on the forest side? What if someone comes out from that dark area and attacks her?

He noticed that her bodyguard was nowhere to be seen either, and Daniel was too drunk to take care of her.

"Elliana, come and sit here towards the inn side. I’ll go and sit there. Are you stupid? Why are you sitting on that side? Until and unless you want to invite a vampire to have a good meal, you should take care of such small things," Alcinder said, and Elliana looked at the forest with a nod.

"Ayee, isn’t our council head’s son being too protective of the human girl?" They heard Gabrielle walking to them before she bent and picked the beer can from the ice box from right beside Samantha.

She gazed at Elliana before shifting her gaze to Samanatha with a smirk.

"Honestly, if I were you, I would keep an extra look at him at this time. Who knows what kind of intentions anyone here bears? We easily get swindled and fall for the weak by nature," Gabrielle said to Samantha, her gaze moving between Elliana and Alcinder, and their eyes narrowed.

Alcinder opened his mouth to ask her to shut it when Elliana drank the shake that they especially made for her and looked at Gabrielle before scoffing.

"Is that so? Do you want a taste of what it feels like to love the weak? I am all up for a demo," Elliana tilted her head, her drooped eyes looking even more seductive due to the light from the fire, and Gabrielle froze in her place.

There is no way this human girl found out about the secret that she had hidden so well from everyone in society. That she actually likes girls more than boys. Gabrielle kept looking into Elliana’s eyes as the human girl smiled sweetly, igniting a passion in her heart that she didn’t know she was capable of.

"That’s enough, Elliana. Why do you have to go around making jokes all the time?" Dexter grabbed Elliana’s hand and pulled her towards himself, breaking Gabrielle out of her daze as she stood and walked away.

She stopped at some distance and turned to look at the girl, still shocked.

What the hell was this? Her heart was beating so fast as if she saw her crush or someone she liked for a long time.

Why did she feel so dazed and captivated in her eyes? It was almost as if she was a real seductress, like a siren who lure their victims close to them through their beauty and eyes.

Geez. No. What the hell is she thinking? That’s a human girl. Gabrielle shook her head before walking away, remembering to take her revenge on Elliana for making her feel like this and almost making her reveal her secret to the world.

"What were you doing?" Dexter asked her, and Elliana pouted her lips.

"What was I doing? I was being completely normal. She indirectly said I am a seductress and was trying to seduce Alcinder so I just asked her if she wanted a taste of the pill she was making it here," Elliana shrugged innocently, and Dexter rolled his eyes.

"I would’ve believed you, my dear Glow, but I know exactly what kind of cunning girl you are. So don’t you dare think you can fool me? I have seen you breaking hearts without batting your eyelashes," Dexter said, and Elliana sighed.

"Why are you blaming me? Those people fell for my rude behavior at that time. They didn’t even know what I looked like. I didn’t have any intention of showing anyone my face there. Heck, I didn’t even have any idea I would go to the pris -" Elliana stopped and coughed before standing.

The night is always the worst time to talk about things because people overshare things they shouldn’t. It’s better if she leaves right now.

"I will just take a stroll," Elliana said.

"Hmm, I’ll just go inside too. I feel like drawing something," Dexter walked inside without waiting for anyone’s response.

"Should I accompany you?" Alcinder asked, and Elliana shook her head.

"Take care of her," Elliana said, and Alcinder didn’t have anything else to say.

If he insisted now, it might really look like he was leaning more towards her, and Samantha might take it wrongly. That’s the last thing he wants to happen after his father clearly told him that their families will soon join ties.

Where the hell was her bodyguard now that he should be with her? Alcinder looked around before sighing helplessly.

"And here I thought we would play some games," Samantha moaned in discomfort, and Alcinder looked at the girl before bending and picking her bridal style.

"Drake, I think you should head inside too. I will take her to her room. Alex and George have left too," Alcinder said, and Drake looked in the direction Elliana left.

"What about the human girl?" He asked.

"Are you worried about her? I thought you hated her," Alcinder raised his brows.

"I never said I hate her. I just hate when Melony gets so excited talking about that human even when she is with me," Drake said, and Alcinder chuckled at his boyish answers and red cheeks.

"I don’t think you should worry about her. Dexter and I had already checked the area thrice. This area is well protected, and we have good senses. We will reach her if something bad happens," Alcinder said, and Drake looked in the direction one last time before leaving.
