"Elliana?" Daniel whispered as soon as he saw the back of a beautiful girl standing with her long brown hair flailing in the mild air.

"Hmm?" Elliana turned around with a questioning look, and Daniel’s cheeks immediately turned red.

He averted his gaze quickly before clearing his thoughts.

"Oh, uhhh, it’s nothing. Y-you, are you enjoying it? The trip, I mean," Daniel stuttered, and Melony wriggled her brows at Samantha, who chuckled at the cheeky girl.

Daniel’s expression was giving all his feelings.

"It’s hot," Elliana muttered, and Daniel hummed.

"It’s definitely hot," Daniel looked into her eyes dazed before coughing again.

"I mean, the weather is definitely a contrast to our kingdom," Daniel recovered, and Melony couldn’t keep it anymore as she chuckled loudly, making Daniel’s ears turn slightly red.

"Here, drink this," Sebastian brought the coconut water for Elliana, and she looked at the prince before humming.

"Thank you," she said, taking the coconut from him before sipping the water through the straw.

Sebastian looked at her back. Though he had ensured he double-tied those strings on her back so as little skin as possible was visible, she still looked alluring and stunning.

He wanted to take off his shirt and put it on her back, but it was really hot in here, and he didn’t want her to become uncomfortable either. Wasn’t that exactly why she dejectedly threw her jacket away in the first place?

"Is there anything you need?" Elliana asked Sebastian who raised his brows before shaking his head.

"You should rest then. You have been following me for quite some time and haven’t sat even for a minute. I’ll be here in front of you. Don’t worry," Elliana said, and Sebastian hummed.

Her words were professional and exactly how she should have spoken to her bodyguard, but why the hell did he feel that she was acting a bit disassociated with him than earlier?

She had this same expression in the room too.

Sebastian looked at Lucas, who was waving at him, and he sighed before nodding.

"Please take care then. I’ll be near your umbrella and chair," Sebastian walked away to take the call with a sigh.

Elliana looked at the back of the man and sighed.

Even when he was on vacation, it looked like anything but a vacation.

He was constantly busy with his phone. What was the use of such holidays where you can’t even enjoy anything?

"Well, what do we have here?" Daniel suddenly said, and Elliana turned to what he was referring to, her brows quirking as Alcinder walked to them, looking as dashing and powerful as ever.

Elliana noticed how he half-hugged a few boys who went to greet them and nodded at the girls who were smiling at him.

"Sup, man? You are finally here. I really thought your father would create some issues since you had to cancel coming with us at the last moment," Daniel murmured as he fist-bumped into Alcinder.

"He just needed my attention on a project that I am leading. It’s all sorted now. Besides, I made a promise that I would come here. So why not?" Alcinder’s gaze turned to Elliana, who was looking as beautiful as ever.

Elliana narrowed her eyes at his smile as he nodded at her and rolled her eyes before turning around, walking towards the water.

"I think she is still peachy about what you said to her over the call," Samantha whispered to him, and Alcinder ran his hand through his hair.

"What should I do in that case? It’s not like I can take back my words. She will come around sooner or later. You guys are just stretching the matter," Alcinder said, and though he pretended to be cool about it, he gazed at her from the cover of his eyes, sighing.

"Fine. Let me go and say a quick sorry," Alcinder rushed to her.

"Hey," he breathed, and Elliana nodded.

"Hi," she said, looking into the distant sea.

"It’s pretty, isn’t it?" He asked, and she hummed.

"What are you think about?" Alexander asked, and Elliana sighed.

"I have always been a nature lover, but for some reason, I feel a little lonely here. It’s as if things are different here. I have never been to an outing before, but I guess I am not a beach kind of person. Maybe more like forests and mountains kind of person," Elliana said, and Alcinder smiled.

"Or maybe it’s because you don’t feel like you belong here? You are not able to mingle well, are you?" Alcinder asked, and Elliana smiled helplessly.

"Is it that obvious?" She asked, and he hummed.

"I am sorry about what I said over the call. About your new guardian throwing you out and -"

"It’s okay. I know you were just joking. Besides, if my new guardian will throw me out, it won’t just be because I disobeyed them, but maybe because of who I am," Elliana said distantly before smiling when she realized she shared a bit too much.

"Don’t feel guilty or weird. I had even forgotten about it," Elliana said, and Alcinder hummed.

"Should I stay with you and enjoy the sightseeing?" He asked, and Elliana turned to their friends.

"You just arrived, no? You should spend some time with them instead. I will be fine. I am used to this kind of loneliness. Besides, it’s peaceful here," Elliana said, and though Alcinder wanted to stay with her, he could also see that she wanted to stay alone and he hummed before leaving her.

"Is anyone up for a volleyball match?" The boys asked, and soon the teams were divided into boys and girls.

Samantha wanted Elliana to come and play with them too, but Elliana told them that she won’t be able to play against vampires, and getting hurt on the first day here was the last thing she wanted to happen.

Samantha could see where Elliana was coming from and sighed.

"Why are you not playing? It should be fun. Are you not the sports kind of person? Should I play with you?" Sebastian finally caught up with her as they stood near the water, and Elliana sat down, liking the feeling of the sea waves touching her feet again and again.

"What about you? Are you enjoying this trip?" Elliana looked up at Sebastian, and he hummed.

"It’s not exactly my kind of trip but then again, I never got the time to have a real trip with my family or friends. Everything was business. So I don’t really know what it should feel like. To have a carefree trip," Sebastian sighed and sat close to her, making her hum before she looked to her left.

Alcinder hit the ball before turning towards where Elliana was, to ensure she was fine near the water, but he soon narrowed his eyes at the back of the strange man that was talking to Elliana as he sat near her.

Was someone trying to hit on her?

"Daniel, do we know that man?" Alcinder asked, and Daniel hummed.

"He doesn’t look like it, no? Anyone would be confused after seeing his sturdy body and authority. He is actually Elliana’s bodyguard. And she didn’t bring one but two. Look over there. That man on the chair working on the laptop is also with her," Daniel said, and Alcinder hummed in a daze before hitting the volleyball.

"You want to play with me?" Elliana suddenly asked, and Sebastian quirked his brows.

"You want to have some fun?" Her eyes beamed, and Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

She was looking pretty innocent beaming at him like this, but he didn’t know why he didn’t exactly have a good feeling about it.

He has understood her this much. She always makes this kind of face when she is about to do something mischievous or needs his approval for something that she knows he won’t like.

However, looking at her smiling face was still better than the distance she was maintaining with him since morning, no?

"What is it?" Sebastian asked, his brows knitted, and Elliana smirked.

"Do you know how to ride a bike?" Elliana asked, and Sebastian narrowed his eyes even more.

"Yes, why?" He asked suspiciously.

"So it shouldn’t be too hard to ride a water scooter either, no? Let’s go," Elliana stood before pulling him up with force, and Lucas looked at his prince and princess.

What was going on there? The prince surely looks a bit annoyed and shocked while the princess is too happy and excited about something.

Well, as long as they are safe and enjoying, he shouldn’t be worried about it, no? He thought before shrugging and going back to his work.
