The Masked Vampire King's Accidental Bride
Chapter 136: Was she upset?

Chapter 136: Was she upset?

"Sir, what did you do?" Lucas whispered to Sebastian, who narrowed his eyes as he got ready for another day of Tian’s character.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Sebastian looked at his secretary who sighed.

"You killed a vampire on the ship. Do you think people won’t find out about one missing person? It’s not 500 but 50 people here, and they are bound to know," Lucas said, and Sebastian looked at his reflection before adjusting his mask.

When Lucas noticed that his sir had no intention of saying anything, he clenched his hands before releasing them nervously.

"Sir, did anyone see you doing this?" He asked, hoping for a positive answer.

Please say no one did. He chanted in his head.

"Almost," Sebastian murmured before walking to the bed again as he picked up his phone.

Almost? What the hell is that supposed to mean? It should’ve been a yes or no. Lucas walked to his master urgently and looked at him earnestly.

"Who was it?" He asked.

"Your princess. She woke up in the middle of the night after hearing some - anyway, she walked to the area where I had thrown the body in the sea for the sharks. Luckily, I saw her first and prevented her from nearing the railing. She can be really a handful," Sebastian said before he looked at his subordinate to tell him to contact D’Souza.

However, when he saw the slight blush on his cheeks, Sebastian narrowed his eyes.

"What are you blushing for?" Sebastian asked.

"It’s nothing, sir. I am just thinking about how cute Princess was looking and behaving last night. It was the first time I saw her so lively and lovely. The way she danced, moved, she even screamed poise and dominance and -" Lucas suddenly stopped when he felt a chilling vibe around him.

"It was the first time you saw her like that. Don’t let me make it your last," Sebastian looked at Lucas with a hard gaze, and the subordinate immediately understood the underlying meaning behind his Prince’s words and his mistake.

What the hell was he doing, blushing over his madam’s beauty? Does he want to die? Lucas scolded himself before looking at his master.

"Please pardon my rudeness, sir. I was merely excited because I think Princess is opening up to you, and it’s really good to see. She is finally feeling like a part of this marriage and the palace," Lucas twisted his words, and Sebastian looked at him for a few seconds before humming.

He still can’t help but think about what happened last night. Not the hot passion between them, but what happened on the deck.

"Sir, are you going to see the princess now?" Lucas asked, and Sebastian looked at his secretary before sighing.

"I am not your prince here who would go to meet the princess. I am going to keep an eye on her and protect her," Sebastian said.

"You mean to keep her away from other boys?" Lucas asked before coughing awkwardly.

"Oh, yes, protect her. I mean, who knows which vampire here is harboring ill intentions toward our princess? We never know," Lucas quickly corrected his words, and Sebastian hummed again.

He walked out of the room and stood in front of the princess’s room.

He knocked at the door just in case she was changing or some other girl was there too, and it wasn’t long before he heard Elliana’s voice.

"Melony, come inside quickly. I can’t do these strings straight. How do you guys wear these tops? And why the hell did you send this with a waitress? If I had known this was such a devilish thing, I wouldn’t have ever tried it on! What the hell are you doing? Come quick," Elliana shouted in pure fury.

Sebastian looked at his princess who was earnestly trying to tie the strings.

He didn’t know whether to smile at her anger or just get annoyed that she allowed anyone inside thinking it was her friend.

He looked at her half-bare back and gulped, his hands itching to touch her soft skin.

He didn’t make a sound. He walked to her and held those strings between his fingers, twirling them on his index fingers.

With a jerk, he pulled Elliana back, making her gasp.

"You vampires are so strong for real," Elliana chuckled and stood straight until Sebastian’s finger came in contact with her bare skin.

The smile on her face froze.

"Should I be angry that you just allow anyone to come in without checking who it is?" Sebastian whispered, and Elliana gulped.

"Mr. Marino, I thought it was just my vampire friend who I called because I couldn’t get these strings done and -"

"Sshhh, stand straight. Don’t move until you want me to mess with them," Sebastian whispered into her ears, and a shiver ran down her spine.

She closed her eyes, his proximity increasing her heartbeats.

She doesn’t know what it was, but for some days, she was feeling this weird sensation around the prince. Her body has even started recognizing him now. And Mr. Marino, he feels like he was being extra sweet with her, extra sweet and loving.

She just hoped that whatever Mr. Marino was doing these days was out of his heart’s wish and not because he still didn’t trust her and was just trying to test her.

"Princess? Princess?" Sebastian shook Elliana, and she shook out of her thoughts before smiling and turning to him.

"Thank you, Mr. Marino," Elliana’s heart ached at the thought of Mr. Marino doing it with some plan in his mind, and though she knew she was probably just overthinking things, what if this was true?

Sebastian looked at the princess who was averting her gaze from him. Though she usually does it too, this time it didn’t feel right.

It was as if she was upset about something and he didn’t like the thought of it.

But what could it be? She didn’t feel like it a moment ago. Or was he not able to see it earlier?

Could it be because of what happened last night? Maybe she was still not fully recovered when he found her near the deck at 2 in the morning, and now she is feeling weird about everything that happened last night because she remembers everything?

Sebastian looked at the princess and was about to ask her if she wanted to talk about what happened last night so that she could feel at ease when someone knocked on the door, and Sebastian dejectedly took a few steps away from Elliana.

Melony walked inside the room, and seeing Elliana standing with an annoyed look while her bodyguard standing in the corner with a serious expression, she sighed.

Seriously? Do bodyguards need to come into the room to protect their princess these days? Why does it feel and sound so different?

Isn’t this bodyguard a bit too uptight? Melony shrugged before looking at Elliana, who was standing, looking at her with an annoyed expression.

"What kind of lewd piece of cloth is this? Do you even know how hard it was for me to wear it?" Elliana asked, and Melony smirked at her.

"Hey, why are you getting so angry? Sometimes, we girls have to compromise a bit to look extra pretty. Besides, you are going to a beach party. We will stop by the first island in ten minutes. Do you think your full top that covers every inch of your body was fitting to the party area?" Melony asked before smiling.

"Girl, you need to look extra pretty. Almost every guy on this ship is talking about you. You need to show some poise and elegance," Melony said, and Sebastian who heard her sentence, clenched his fists behind him.

Elliana rolled her eyes before she walked to her wardrobe and pulled out a cropped jacket. She wore it over the top, making Melony knit her brows.

"I don’t need those things to attract anyone’s attention. I can have anyone anytime I want," Elliana said confidently.

She was just saying it so Melony doesn’t pester her to take off the jacket now.

However, what she didn’t know was that the sentence was enough to anger Sebastian even more.
