Chapter 104: She is mystery

Elliana guarded her brain like Nath had taught her the last time.

Sebastian raised his brows in surprise when he couldn’t read what she was thinking about.

Her adaptation to new things was tremendous. It was almost as if she was being taught how to tackle these things. Sebastian shook his head.

After eating to her heart’s content, Elliana was about to stand from her place when Sebastian snuck his hand around her waist.

"Where do you think you are going? We are yet to have that dance that you promised me in the car," Sebastian said, just wanting to spend some more time with her before her drunken state was completely over and she was back to her normal and shy self.

"You want to dance with me? But it’s too late. You must be tired," Elliana said, well aware of his hand that was drawing circles around her waist as it made her giddy.

"I think I’ll be fine. Will you be able to hold up?" Sebastian asked, and she nodded.

Making her dance was just an excuse Sebastian was looking for. In reality, he was just trying to find ways to get her to sing again. He knows that the kind of song she sang doesn’t come out when asked. It comes out on its own, but he still wanted to try.

He pulled her up with himself and took her straight to the terrace, using his vampire speed, and Elliana looked around, blinking her eyes at the stars that were looking so beautiful.

"The full moon is near, no?" Elliana said to no one in particular, and Sebastian hummed, looking at the girl whose eyes immediately lit up at the terrace.

"You really sang beautifully at the party today. It took my breath away for a second," Sebastian said, and Elliana smiled.

"I don’t sing much, but when I do, I pour my heart into it," Elliana smiled and twirled.

Meanwhile, Daniel and his friends sat on the terrace, done with the party. They had been dancing non-stop for more than an hour.

"I can’t believe she left so early," Melony said after some time.

"Who? Elliana?" Samantha asked, and Melony hummed.

"I kind of guessed she would leave early. She has this schedule-like thing going on. Like, her chauffeur is always ready at the gates as soon as college is over. I think she has time restrictions at home, not like us," Samantha commented, and they hummed altogether.

"Poor Daniel. She was his dance partner, and some other man came and took her first dance in front of everyone," Alex commented, and they laughed at Daniel’s ashen face.

"In my defense, Alcinder stopped me from doing anything, or I would’ve surely taught that man a good lesson," Daniel said.

"So you are trying to say you would’ve messed with the royals?" Alcinder asked, and everyone looked at him in surprise.

"Royals? What do you mean?" Drake asked.

"That mysterious man who entered was one of the royal princes. I don’t know which one though. My dad called before Elliana left, and I asked him to find out about the guy," Alcinder said.

"What did he say? It was the royal prince?" Daniel stood straight.

"Hmm. The principal of the university has a meeting with one of the princes, and he cunningly chose this time and place so that he can make the royal prince the chief guest. The prince came and started the party officially. Elliana just happened to be there on the stage at the moment, and she was looking okay enough to be chosen as a dance partner," Alcinder said.

"Okay, enough? She was looking like a princess herself," Daniel pouted and sighed.

"The attack on Elliana, I think it was done by none other than Aditya, the council head’s son of the human species," Alcinder said after a long time.

"What attack?" Melony asked, confused, and Samantha, who didn’t know the complete details, shrugged.

"The day of the bike racing, she was attacked by some human boys in the forest who wanted to do evil things with her. She barely made it out alive. She had received quite a good number of scratches and wounds," Daniel explained.

"What?! She was attacked??! Why didn’t she report it? Did they catch who did it? Wait. The council head’s son? Why would he do that? Bully another human to that level? And how do you know all of it?" Melony asked one after the other, and Alcinder pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Let’s not talk about her. The girl weirdly gives me a headache every time I talk about her," Alcinder deliberately ended the topic, not wanting to go into humiliating details for her.

He already made a mistake by mentioning it in the first place.

"Honestly speaking, this girl is full of mysteries. She isn’t as easy as she appears," Drake was the one to speak after some time, and Melony nodded.

"I know, right? Did you feel the magic in her voice? It almost felt like someone put me in some kind of trance for some time. Not to mention how beautiful she is. I won’t be surprised if she turns out to be a princess in real life," Melony said.

"I wasn’t talking about that," Drake rolled his eyes.

Daniel leaned on the railing, looking at nothing in particular.

He didn’t know what to speak on the matter. He had been observing Elliana since she entered their life, and she was the coolest shy human he had met.

Drake was right about one thing. She isn’t easy. The kind of aura she possesses and oozes as if she is not a person someone should think to mess with is beyond explainable.

But maybe it was this mystery that made her so appealing in his eyes. Daniel smiled.

"We still don’t know what kind of family she belongs to. She is definitely not poor, and since she is among the people who can interact with the princess of the hunter bloodline, Madeline, and the council head’s son, Aditya, her family is influential," Samantha said, and everyone hummed.

"I don’t even understand why we are discussing a mere human in the first place," Drake said after a long time, and everyone nodded at each other.

"I think we should leave for our places now. Let’s talk and find out about this girl slowly. Drake is right. As much as we know she can’t harm us, there is no harm in knowing about a girl who has become such an important part of the group so suddenly," Samantha said, and they nodded at each other.

Meanwhile, Sebastian looked at Elliana, who was sleeping soundly with a blindfold on her eyes according to their arrangement, and sighed.

Elliana was becoming an important part of his daily schedule now. Things weren’t supposed to become like this. He wasn’t supposed to care for her or like kissing her. Sebastian pulled her towards himself, liking the feeling of her body plastered to his side.

His one hand was under her head, and the other hand rubbed her thighs up and down as Elliana was sleeping with her legs sprawled on his torso.

If it had been anyone else, he wouldn’t have thought twice about twisting the leg of the person before they could even think of doing something like this, but her, it was different with her.

Sebastian looked at the soft smile that appeared on her face, and he licked the tip of his fangs, his gaze settling on her soft neck that she had tilted today for him to mark her.

He gulped and removed the hair from her neck before sniffing the area.

She smelt really good. She looked good too. The way her chest was moving up and down as she was sleeping soundly made him want to dip his face between her chest and sleep.

He lifted her and pulled her on top of him so her face was snuggled in the crook of his neck as he tried his best to control his urges, placing his lips on her neck softly.
