Chapter 110: The Lady Of The House

"You look stunning." Heather whispered for the third time that night.

I smiled unable to stop myself from admiring the dress. It was truly stunning, very beautiful and it looked like it had been made specifically for me. It was a blue dress with sliver embroidery that glitters when the light shines on it. It was also cinched around the waist but not so tight and if people looked closer they will be able to see the small bump that was already starting to form on my stomach.

But there was no denying that the dress was stunning, it was both elegant and comfortable. Reagan chose well and the thought that he did all of this with careful consideration made my heart flutter in ways that I wasn’t ready to admit, not yet anyway.

Heather carefully wove pearls into my hair before she did it in a very delicate updo that brought out my face. She motioned towards the tray of jewelry that had been carefully picked out silently asking me which one I would wear.

I nodded towards the tear shaped diamond earrings, part of my wedding gift from Reagan. It was only fair that I wore it with this outfit, they complement each other so well.

I noticed the smile of approval on Heather’s wife as she helped me to put on the earrings and well she was done, she smiled at me through the mirror. "You look perfect."

I smiled at her assessing myself in the mirror, other than the fact that I was adding the weight in all the right places, I mean my breast in this dress, Reagan probably had no idea it would be too revealing but then I was pregnant which means my body would be springing up surprising changes but as long as it was all in the right places, then I have no problem with it.

Gotta love being pregnant!

Heather noticed where my gaze had wandered and she arched a brow up at me with a smile on her face, "Well they are a gorgeous pair, pretty sure it’s enough to get him distracted tonight!"

A blush immediately crept up my cheeks as I looked down. "I don’t know, he probably might not notice it at all."

"Trust me," Heather said as she patted my arm, "He will blind not to notice, all the men will so I best tell the servants to keep the wine flowing before someone lose their heads over saying something they shouldn’t have."

"Don’t exaggerate Heather." I remarked dryly as I stood up from my seat, but even as I stared back at the mirror, I knew there was no way Reagan wouldn’t notice.

Smoothing my hands over my dress which hugged all the right places, the silver thread shining in the candlelight and the slits that went on for days showing my legs and thighs. Yeah, Reagan didn’t really think this true!

"Shall we, my lady?" Heather asked me.

I turned to look back at her with a smile on my face. "You know I’m ready."

Smiling, Heather grabbed my shawl as I walked down the stairs and slowly made my way out to the living room. Taking a deep breath, I reached for the handle of the door and pulled it open only to be met with the sight of Reagan right in front of me.

A startled breath escaped me as I stared at Reagan who stared at me with a stunned expression on his face as he stared back at me.

"For fuck’s sake Reagan." I breathed out still startled at the sight of him.

"Did your breast get bigger?" Reagan asked his voice hoarse and thick with desire.

So he did notice? I thought to myself before I finally cleared my throat. "You know other men show up to a woman’s doorstep and tell her she look stunning, beautiful and not ask if their breasts got big?"

"You look stunning!" Reagan whispered the words and was it just me did he move closer?

"Reagan, what are you_"

Reagan suddenly got closer towards me, grabbed me by my waist and his lips were on mine before I could process what was happening. I instantly melted into the kiss and taking advantage of it, Reagan deepened the kiss, instantly moving me backwards so we were inside the house.

He pressed me against the wall, his hands on my neck as he deepened the kiss, his breath hot and desperate against mine. His body was pressed right next on mine as he continued to kiss me but then I began to feel his hand on my hair, I immediately reached for his hand.

My breaths came in uneven breaths as I held Reagan’s hand. A tired smile formed on my lips as I stared at Reagan who was staring at me with confusion on his face. "I really don’t think Heather will appreciate you ruining her my hairstyle."

"Yes my lord, I really won’t!" Heather yelled from where she was giving us our privacy in the hallway.

Reagan arched a brow up at that before he stared down at me in question. I shrugged at him in response, "It took her about an hour to do it_"

"An hour and a half!" Came Heather’s loud argument.

"Right and a half." I told him with a smile on my face.

Reagan turned his gaze upstairs, "Well then, I have to commend you Heather, you have done impeccable job with my wife here_"

There is that word again, the one that made my heart skip a beat when he said it! it took a lot of willpower to stop the smile from appearing on my face.

Reagan continued, his hand stroking my cheek gently as he murmured. "You are so beautiful Dahlia." He said his gaze assessing the dress on me, "I knew I chose this dress for a reason. You are so beautiful the countless stars in the night sky doesn’t even seem to compare to your beauty."

My lips parted as I stared at Reagan, my heart pounded in my chest as his voice, so soft and courteous that they wrapped around me like a comforting hug and they made feel like...made me feel like perhaps... I suddenly noticed something strange.

My hands quickly held on to Reagan’s face as I squinted at the angry red faint lines on his face. "Who did this to you?"

Reagan cleared his throat before he offered me a wry smile, "We should go, we are already late!"

"But..."

Reagan grabbed me and kissed me on the lips again, shutting me up. "The lady of the house shouldn’t keep her subject waiting, right?"
