Chapter 1359: Chapter 1360: Back on Good Terms
A shadow flew past outside the courtyard wall.
Unnoticed by Su Yunjin and Gu Ya, who were talking inside, the shadow possessed great martial arts skills, moving along roofs and walls without making any sound or leaving any trace.
Both Su Yunjin and Gu Ya inside the house lacked martial arts capabilities, and they were not paying attention to the outside, so they were unaware of the presence outside their courtyard wall.
Having cleared up the misunderstanding, Gu Ya lowered his head and kissed his wife on the face, "Yunjin, listen, you mustn’t make a fuss before getting to the bottom of things again."
Su Yunjin realized she had misunderstood Gu Ya and gracefully admitted her mistake.
"Mhm." Her small hands embraced Gu Ya’s waist as Su Yunjin nestled her head into Gu Ya’s chest, inhaling the comforting scent emanating from him.
Su Yunjin felt very reassured.
If Mrs. An hadn’t caused the wound on Gu Ya’s head, then who had? Curious about this, Su Yunjin asked Gu Ya, "Husband, how did you get the wound on your forehead?"
Su Yunjin stared at the wound on Gu Ya’s head, and thinking that she hadn’t applied medicine to it yet, she subconsciously intended to find the ointment to put on him.
She lifted the quilt and was about to get out of bed to find the medicine, but Gu Ya stopped his wife, "Yunjin, where are you going?" Not knowing what his wife was up to and thinking she was looking for something else, Gu Ya continued, "Just lie down. What do you need? Tell me, and I’ll get it for you."
Su Yunjin wanted to find ointment for Gu Ya, "Husband, we need to apply some medicine to the wound on your forehead. Let me go down and find it for you."
When the topic of medicine came up, Gu Ya suddenly remembered the medicine he had been preparing for his wife, which she hadn’t finished yet, and he held her back from moving.
With his other hand, he picked up the medicine bowl that had been placed nearby.
"Yunjin, I made this medicine for you. Come on, drink this first." The medicine wasn’t hot, just comfortably warm, perfect for his wife now.
With a spoonful, Gu Ya brought the medicine to his wife’s lips, "Yunjin, open your mouth." Gu Ya’s voice was deep and pleasant.
Speaking so tenderly, Su Yunjin unconsciously opened her mouth and swallowed the medicine Gu Ya fed her. The medicine was a bit bitter, and Su Yunjin frowned from the bitterness just after swallowing.
Before giving his wife the medicine, Gu Ya had tasted a spoonful himself and knew it was bitter, "Yunjin, the medicine is bitter, but good medicine tastes bitter. After taking it, your health will improve."
He scooped up another spoonful and brought it to his wife’s lips. Su Yunjin, not one to make a fuss, could manage to swallow even the bitterest medicine.
Seeing there was still more than half a bowl of medicine left, Su Yunjin didn’t want Gu Ya to keep feeding her but planned to hold the bowl herself, "Husband, give me the bowl. I’ll take it myself."
As his wife was currently unwell and had previously fainted, Gu Ya decided to take personal care of her. Upon hearing his wife’s words, Gu Ya didn’t hand her the bowl as she had suggested but continued to feed her with the spoon.
"Yunjin, I’ll feed you." Gu Ya’s voice was gentle yet firm, soft but with an undeniable force and authority.
Seeing Gu Ya’s determination to feed her and his tender expression, a smile overflowed from Su Yunjin’s eyes, and she let him feed her mouthful by mouthful.
After finishing the bowl of medicine, the couple reconciled and were as close as ever.
