The Hunter’s Lively Wife -
Chapter 1358 - 1359: The Truth
Chapter 1358: Chapter 1359: The Truth
"Husband!"
She looked up.
After having fainted earlier, Su Yunjin decided it was time for a good talk with Gu Ya. Holding his wife’s hands gently, Gu Ya asked, "Yunjin, what do you want to say?"
A moment of silence.
Su Yunjin spoke, "Husband, we are husband and wife, and I hope you can be honest with me about everything. I know the wound on your forehead was caused by Mrs. An, so please don’t hide it from me anymore." Su Yunjin had let out what was bothering her, able to overlook other things,
but angry at Gu Ya’s concealment.
Gu Ya stared at his wife.
He wondered why his wife had suddenly become angry, and it turned out to be about this? Suddenly, realizing the situation, Gu Ya couldn’t help but feel both amused and frustrated.
"Yunjin, so, this is why you were angry with me?" he asked. The injury on his forehead really wasn’t intentionally caused by his mother, although it was indirectly related to Mrs. An, but it was an accident. When his wife asked, Gu Ya had to say it wasn’t caused by his mother.
A casual remark had unexpectedly led his wife to misunderstand him, thinking he was deliberately hiding his mother’s involvement. What did the expression on Gu Ya’s face mean?
Seeing Gu Ya looking both annoyed and amused, Su Yunjin felt angry again, but then she heard his explanation, "Yunjin, about that matter with my mother, I really didn’t lie to you. The wound on my forehead truly wasn’t caused by her." Upon hearing Gu Ya say this again, Su Yunjin was unsure.
Half-doubtful, she looked at Gu Ya.
Su Yunjin tentatively asked, "Husband, are you telling the truth? The wound on your forehead really wasn’t caused by mother?"
Gu Ya nodded,
"Yunjin, truly. If you don’t believe me, you can ask my younger brother and sister-in-law; they were there too. If you don’t trust me, surely you trust their words?"
Su Yunjin looked at Gu Ya in surprise, not saying a word.
She couldn’t imagine that the injury on Gu Ya’s forehead really hadn’t been inflicted by Mrs. An. Holding his wife’s hands again, Gu Ya said, "Yunjin, you and I are husband and wife, and I wouldn’t hide anything from you, including anything about my mother."
This time, it was Mrs. An who was at fault, and Gu Ya could only advise her not to do such things again. How could he foolishly conspire with his mother to keep things from his wife?
Su Yunjin was a bit stunned.
Gu Ya tapped his wife on the head.
His handsome face darkened.
"Losing your temper without understanding the situation! Do I really seem that untrustworthy in your eyes?" Thinking about how his wife had fainted from distress over this earlier, Gu Ya’s tone shifted from gentle to somewhat icy.
Su Yunjin realized she was at fault.
Feeling guilty,
she dared not look at Gu Ya.
"Husband, I thought..." When Gu Ya had returned injured from a visit to the old house to settle matters with Mrs. An, anyone would think his injury was related to Mrs. An. She had her reasons for thinking so, and Gu Ya couldn’t blame her. That was what Su Yunjin thought, but feeling guilty, she dared not say it aloud.
Gu Ya tapped his wife on the forehead again, "Just because you assumed, you let your imagination run wild? And you got angry with me? I really want to crack open that little head of yours and see what’s inside?" Sometimes his wife was clever enough to outsmart even the cunning manager, but sometimes she didn’t think things through.
Both frustrating and baffling.
