Chapter 179: Princess Eve vs Queen Amara
Chapter 179: Princess Eve vs Queen Amara
The palace hall fell into silence the moment they heard that Princess Eve was escorted by the mystical dragon.
’How could this happen? Who is controlling the dragon? Is the man with her a beast tamer?’
At first, they thought Gideon was the beast tamer.
"Bring the princess here," King Solomon commanded the royal guard captain.
Queen Amara and her two daughters couldn’t hide the hostility in their eyes when Princess Eve’s name was mentioned.
"Tsk. General Ravenmoor failed to kill her," Princess Aliyah murmured, feeling disappointed.
It did not take long before the door of the palace hall was pushed open. Princess Eve, Gideon, and General Ravenmoor stepped inside, showing themselves. Everyone’s attention focused on them.
"The third princess is here," The royal guard captain made an announcement.
"Damn it! She is still alive," Queen Amara mumbled through her gritted teeth. She was looking daggers at Princess Eve.
King Solomon had mixed emotions upon seeing his daughter. Deep down, he felt so glad that Eve was safe. However, he didn’t know why she wanted him to abdicate the throne to her.
He wanted to approach his daughter, however, Queen Amara grabbed his elbow, thus stopping him from getting near Eve.
"Stay by my side. Don’t trust her! She is a member of the Goldwyn Family. She must be a traitor," Queen Amara whispered to King Solomon.
King Solomon could only sigh deeply as he looked at Eve with reluctance. He wanted to embrace his daughter, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. He feared that Princess Eve had chosen to betray them—after all, they had never been a good family to her.
"Princess Eve, I want to ask you something. Can you please explain yourself and be honest with me?" King Solomon spoke to her.
"What is it, your Majesty?" Eve asked him politely. She tried to sound respectful to her old father.
Queen Amara snorted. "Drop the act, Eve. We know that you don’t consider us your ruler anymore!"
Eve merely shot Queen Amara a cold, sharp glare. She didn’t hide her displeasure as she looked at her.
Meanwhile, Queen Amara was enraged by her hostile gaze. She acted politely in front of King Solomon, but she didn’t bother to show any respect to Queen Amara.
"What do you want to ask me, Father?" Princess Eve asked him in a calm tone, completely ignoring Queen Amara’s last remarks.
"How dare you act so rude in front of our Mother Queen! I have to punish you!" Princess Aliyah charged in her direction. She was about to slap Eve, but Crown Prince Stefan intervened.
"What are you doing, brother? Let me go!" Princess Aliyah yelled at Prince Stefan, who grabbed her wrist.
Princess Alessandra also reacted negatively when she witnessed how Crown Prince Stefan stopped Princess Aliyah from attacking Eve. "Brother Stefan, what is the meaning of this? Are you siding with her now just because of the dragon? Are you afraid of her?" Princess Alessandra insulted their elder brother.
Prince Stefan narrowed his eyes at her. "Can’t you see? Our father wants to talk to her. Don’t do something reckless. We need to hear her side."
Princess Alessandra and Princess Aliyah scowled at him. They couldn’t believe that Stefan suddenly changed his attitude toward Eve. They thought their brother was just playing safe because Eve had the upper hand. She got the support of Zephyra’s army.
"Stop arguing! Just be quiet. Let me speak to my daughter!" King Solomon finally intervened.
Everyone shut their mouths. They decided to listen to the conversation between King Solomon and Princess Eve.
"Are they telling the truth? You and Zephyra’s army are pressuring me to abdicate the throne and make you the new ruler of this kingdom?" King Solomon confronted his daughter. He wanted to hear it from Princess Eve herself. Only then would he believe Captain Alucard’s words.
"Yes. That’s true. That is our initial demand. If you can’t fulfill it, then we have no choice but to use some force," Eve replied truthfully.
"You shameless bitch! How dare you!!!" Queen Amara burst out, boiling in rage. She also stepped forward, approaching Eve.
Gideon was going to stop Queen Amara from getting closer, however, Eve signaled him to stay put. She didn’t want Gideon to interfere. She just stood there, waiting for Queen Amara.
The moment Queen Amara reached her spot, she raised her hand to slap Eve. However, Eve blocked her hand right away. Without hesitation, she swung her free hand, hitting Queen Amara’s face.
SLAP!
Everyone was rendered speechless the moment Princess Eve’s palm landed on Queen Amara’s right cheek. The smacking sound reverberated through the palace hall.
"I am no longer the weak princess you always bullied. I won’t allow you to hurt me again, Queen Amara. I am here to collect your debts... to me... and to my late mother!" Princess Eve declared in her stern, cold voice. Her deathly gaze sent a shiver down Queen Amara’s spine.
She tried to break free from Eve’s grip, however, she was so strong, locking her wrist tightly in her grasp.
"Release me, you bitch! I’m still your Queen!" Queen Amara struggled from her.
General Ravenmoor, the royal guard captain, and the chancellor were supposed to help Queen Amara. But before they could make a move, Gideon, Captain Alucard, and Commander Kevin blocked their paths. They were there to protect Eve.
Another crisp slap echoed in the palace hall.
Slap! Slap!
Eve slapped Queen Amara once more, hitting her left and right cheeks alternately! King Solomon and the other members of the royal family were stunned, frozen in their spots. This was the first time they witnessed Eve’s violent side. She was no longer afraid of fighting back.
Princess Alessandra could no longer stand watching her mother being slapped by Eve. She moved to attack her, however Eve suddenly spoke up, warning everyone.
"Don’t you dare interrupt me! One word from me, my dragon will attack everyone and turn you into stone. He only listens to me!"
The court officials were shocked when they heard that.
"What did she just say?"
"Does it mean Princess Eve is the beast tamer?"
"How could this happen? Damn it! We are so stupid not to recognize her power!"
The whispers of the court officials erupted in the palace hall. King Solomon, Queen Amara, and Eve’s royal siblings couldn’t believe it.
To prove her ability, Eve suddenly summoned Aerin, the mystical fox, along with four dire wolves. The doors flew open as Aerin shattered them. The royal court officials panicked as the wild beasts stormed into the palace hall, surrounding Princess Eve and Queen Amara.
Eve commanded the five beasts to stay on guard, ensuring that no one could interrupt her confrontation with Queen Amara. She was here to face the Queen first.
"Oh my god! It is true! Princess Eve is a beast tamer!"
King Solomon didn’t know what to do. He was debating in his mind. Should he protect Queen Amara and attack his daughter Eve? He darted his gaze back and forth between Eve and Queen Amara. He felt so helpless right now.
"Eve, my daughter. Please... let’s talk this out peacefully. No need to hurt the Queen!" King Solomon tried to convince her.
"Father, you don’t have the right to stop me. I have to settle the score with her. Just watch me and reflect on your own mistakes. I’ll also deal with you later on." Princess Eve spat back at him coldly.
King Solomon suddenly became anxious when he heard her last words. ’She is going to deal with me as well? Does she hate me? Did she remember everything?’
"I’ll kill you, Eve! Do you really think you can leave this palace unscathed? Don’t challenge me!" Queen Amara bravely challenged her. She didn’t want to show her weakness in front of Eve. She wouldn’t admit defeat.
Eve sneered at her. "You remain arrogant. It seems you’re incapable of self-reflection or taking responsibility for your actions. You show no sign of remorse."
"What are you saying? Of course, I should hold my head high—I’m the Queen of this kingdom! You’re only acting brave because you’ve found an ally. I don’t care if you’re a princess of Zephyra. Just leave us alone, you ungrateful brat! You’re only alive today because of my mercy!" Queen Amara retorted.
Eve couldn’t help but laugh sarcastically. "I don’t owe you anything, Queen Amara. Why would I feel grateful to you? You only keep me alive so that I can be your slave... a mere servant who only lives to entertain you."
"You abused me every day. I am the living proof of your ruthlessness! My body is covered in scars... from your beatings... from the slashes of your whip. I was nothing more than a plaything to you—someone you loved to abuse and punish daily."
"You pretended to be a loving mother... but within the four corners of the Lotus Pavilion, you were the devil incarnate. A merciless monster who murdered my mother, stabbing her multiple times right in front of me!" Eve didn’t hold back as she exposed Queen Amara’s crime in front of everyone.
