The Growth of a Titan -
Chapter 388- Divine Medicine
Chapter 388: Chapter 388- Divine Medicine
Cian opened his eyes, or at least he tried to open them. A bright light immediately greeted him as he opened his eyes, which almost blinded him.
"Arg!"
Cian released an unpleasant groan and was momentarily dazed. Only after a few seconds was he able to crack his eyes open.
Everything was bathed in an orange hue, and he saw nothing but halos of light in his vision.
"Am I... dead?"
Cian couldn’t help but ask under his breath. However, his vision cleared up enough for him to see the ceiling above him. He realized he was lying on a bed.
He was obviously in a room and not dead, but whose room?
Cian glanced around the room; eyes squinted as he was still seeing faint halos of light. But he was able to see that he was in quite a spacious bedroom, though it was rather plain and lacked any decorations.
It was as if the room was hardly in use.
Suddenly, a sweet fragrance entered Cian’s nostrils that made his nose twitch. He instinctively turned his head in the direction where the smell was coming from but that was the window. As a result, he was blinded by the sunlight once again.
"Ugh!"
Cian groaned as he turned away and got up off the bed. As he did, he looked down at his left hand to see that his sleeve was missing.
"You’re finally awake, I’m outside. Take a left and two rights after leaving the room."
A voice suddenly drifted into the room, or rather, it should be said it suddenly appeared in the room like an omnipresent entity.
Cian flinched. That voice gave him a weird feeling, he didn’t sense any Spiritual fluctuations in it.
’What a peculiar ability, it’s like he has become one with Heaven and Earth.’
Cian was amazed, especially when he got the sense that he was being watched. It was only a feeling, but if he didn’t know Sol had this ability, he probably wouldn’t have noticed it.
Cian didn’t dilly-dally anymore and changed to a knew robes before exiting the room. After taking a left and two rights he came to the spacious clearing at the side of the manor.
He saw Sol sitting around a small table drinking tea.
He was wearing the Alchemy Pavilion’s yellow robes, and even though it was like any other robes the disciples wore, when it was on him it looked and felt completely different.
His lion-mane hair flowed down his back and spilled over his shoulders as he leaned forward to pour a cup of tea on the other side of the table. The golden hue of the setting sun reflected on his face and gave him a rather enchanting look.
Cian’s heart was moved when he saw this scene, especially after thinking back to what happened previously and what kind of identity this person had.
"Are you not coming?"
Sol asked with a confused expression as he placed down the kettle to his left. Little Zeel, who was lying down to his right, turned to look at Cian as well.
Cian snapped out of his thoughts and walked over. Smiling, he gave a thumbs up and said.
"Brother Sol, your talents and looks are extremely extraordinary."
Sol sipped his tea and shot him a strange look.
"Are you trying to flatter me because of what that thing did?"
Cian’s face turned slightly red after having his thoughts revealed so bluntly, but soon a dark look overcame his face as he said.
"That bastard has gone too far. Brother Sol, I’m extremely sorry for what happened."
Cian looked at Sol with an expression that was both angry and regretful as he said.
"I initially came here to apologize but I instead attacked you. Brother Sol, I sincerely apologize."
Cian cupped his fist and bowed deeply.
However, Sol dismissively said.
"It’s fine, thanks to that battle I was able to raise my strength to another level and pick up a few tricks."
Upon hearing that, Cian was surprised, but what happened next caused his pupils to constrict.
Sol lifted his hand and a golden aura appeared around it. In the next instant, ripples appear on the other side of the spacious clearing before a golden palm materialized in mid-air. He then turned his hand from side to side and moved his fingers. The golden palm followed his movements without delay.
After releasing the ability, Sol turned to Cian and said with a smile.
"I should be the one thanking you, come have a seat and drink some tea with me."
Cian’s mind was still reeling from what he had just witness, as he looked at Sol his heart couldn’t help but accelerate.
Even though Sol casually described this ability, Cian knew that it was extremely terrifying.
After suppressing his intense shock, Cian sat down across from Sol and picked up the small wooden cup of tea.
The steam was still wafting from the cup, but after softly blowing on the yellow surface of the tea, Cian placed the cup to his lips and took a sip.
Immediately after he took that sip, Cian was once again shocked, and he looked at the cup in his hands with wide eyes.
"This... This is Divine Energy!"
Cian’s heart trembled and he suddenly placed the cup back to his lips before swallowing the entire thing in one go. The tea burnt his throat as it went down but he absolutely didn’t care.
As the tea entered his body and disseminated, Cian felt his Holy Energy increase slightly. However, this slight increase was worth several months’ worth of cultivation.
Cian’s hand holding the cup shook, and he looked at Sol with stupefaction evident on his face.
Sol silently observed Cian’s reaction, and his eyes narrowed when he heard the term Divine Energy. However, he didn’t ask anything.
Suddenly, Cian’s eyes darted to the kettle and his heart started to pound wildly in his chest.
"You can have more if you want."
Cian’s heart skipped a beat, but he didn’t hesitate to grab the kettle and pour another cup. After pouring and drinking four cups successively, Cian had to forcefully stop himself.
This type of Divine Medicine was extremely beneficial for his cultivation, but if he continued like this then he would just be wasting it.
Cian settled his mind and began circulating his energy to tame this vast amount of Divine Energy. There was no way he would be able to absorb all of it now, so he would store it in his body and slowly refine it.
After a while, Cian soon opened his eyes and released a breath of air. He then looked at Sol and said with gratitude.
"Thank you, Brother Sol."
"No problem, it hardly has an effect on me anyway."
