Chapter 356: Chapter 356- A Beauty Without Equal!

Altair forcefully suppressed the anger that was about to erupt from the pit of his stomach.

He then forced a smile onto his face as he said to Sol.

"No, we aren’t some Mana Beast that can take on human form. Disciple brother, that’s quite an insult you know?"

"Oh."

Sol paused then said apologetically.

"I’m sorry, I mean no offense. But what is the Elvian Race?"

Altair froze and looked at Sol with slight surprise. He hadn’t expected Sol to apologize so straightforwardly. The anger that was stirring in his belly was snuffed out because of that.

Altair didn’t immediately answer Sol’s question and instead coughed in his fist to regain his composure.

It was obvious he had never dealt with someone like Sol before.

After regaining his composure, Altair said.

"I thought you would know of the Four Races that live in our Western Region; it isn’t just humans."

When Sol heard that, he couldn’t help but turn to look at Mar-Dule sitting on the edge of the balcony railing.

At the same time, Mar-Dule smacked his forehead before giving Sol an apologetic look.

He had forgotten to mention the Four Races of the Western Region. But it wasn’t his fault, they were so integrated into the human race that even people in the Western Region were forgetting to distinguish them from humans.

Looking away from Mar-Dule, Sol turned to Altair and said.

"I was in seclusion up until a few days ago so I don’t know much about the Western Region, and my friend forgot to explain the Four Faces to me. Oh, and I haven’t introduced myself yet. My name is Sol, those are my friends Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae."

The crowd below had their ears perked upon hearing Sol’s name, while those who didn’t saw him come with Yoon-Jae and Mar-Dule looked shocked.

"Sol? Where have I heard that name before?"

"I don’t know, I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that name before myself."

"Yeah, he isn’t a genius from any of the great powers."

The disciples in the crowd spoke among themselves with confusion.

Being that it was expensive to move up from the Mortal Arena, only those who had entered the Academy for a while and have built a good foundation could afford the cost.

Meaning there were mostly first-year disciples in the Mortal Arena, while the second-year and third-year disciples were in the higher-level arenas.

However, there were a few second-year disciples in the crowd below, and their eyes went wide with disbelief.

Breathing heavily, one second-year disciple muttered softly at first before his voice boomed out.

"It-It’s Senior Brother Sol. I should have known it was him... IT’S SENIOR BROTHER SOL!!"

All the other second-year disciples in the crowd were similarly in an uproar, leaving their fellow first-year disciples completely shocked.

Altair and Quilt, seeing the second-year disciples’ reactions, turned to glance at each other briefly. It was obvious this Sol person didn’t have an ordinary reputation in the Academy.

They also turned to look in the direction of Mar-Dule and Yoon-Jae.

Altair and Quilt weren’t like the others from the Western Region, and they hadn’t gone around challenging people. They merely watched from the sidelines, and they would have kept on doing so if they hadn’t heard about what Sol was doing down here from their subordinates.

Even for them, five million Aether Stones was enticing. And though the Aether Stones contained a different energy, and they were unable to use them to cultivate, they could still use them as currency to purchase some valuable items in Jianghu.

With that said, it wasn’t like they were unaware of Mar-Dule. As long as someone was in the Martial Alliance Academy, it was hard not to hear about him.

If one went by the Heaven Arena Rankings, he was the unofficial number one genius among the Western Region and Eastern Region disciples.

Mar-Dule glanced at these two and nodded casually. There was a reason why he mostly talked about the Church, compared to them, the top geniuses from the Royal Families were even more secretive and hadn’t made any big moves till now.

There was even a rumor going around that their number one genius chose not to enter the Academy and instead disappeared after coming to the Eastern Region. Currently, no one knew where she was.

Altair and Quilt returned Mar-Dule’s nod with a casual nod of their own.

However, when their eyes landed on Yoon-Jae next to him, they were completely stunned.

Yoon-Jae was seated on the edge of the balcony railing while casually leaning against a pillar. After some time of watching Sol’s antics, he decided to go back to reading his book on medicinal plants while slowly munching on the piece of Essence Fruit he had remaining.

He wasn’t paying attention to anything and was solely focused on reading. Because of this, he didn’t realize how Altair and Quilt were looking at him.

In their eyes, Yoon-Jae looked like a fallen celestial maiden from the Nine Heavens, who was perched atop the railing, which in their eyes had transformed into a jade throne.

This celestial maiden’s demeanor was equally unmatched as she casually sat on her throne in the Mortal Realm while reading her jade scriptures containing the profundities between heaven and earth.

Altair and Quilt’s hearts were moved. Even Princess Rina of the Beorhtric Family was slightly inferior when compared to this maiden, and that’s even when they were only seeing her side profile.

The two youths scrambled to cup their fists and bowed.

Altair then said.

"Sister Yoon-Jae, it’s my pleasure to meet someone as beautiful as yourself. I can confidently claim that among the Western Region and Eastern Region, your beauty has no equal!"

Sol’s expression immediately froze when he saw Altair and Quilt’s reactions. Not only him, but the crowd that was becoming noisy because Sol revealed himself, suddenly turned deathly quiet.

It was so sudden it caused the silence that followed to be extremely eerie.

Seeing this, Quilt glared at Altair.

"Bastard, what did you say?"

"Ah, all I did was compliment her beauty."

Altair’s brows creased in confusion.

Did he say something wrong?

Mar-Dule was wearing a weird expression as he nudged Yoon-Jae’s leg.

Yoon-Jae lost his focus reading, and he looked up at Mar-Dule with a frown. However, he saw Mar-Dule motioned to the stage below.

It was now that Yoon-Jae had stopped reading his book that he realized this area had fallen into silence. With the frown still on his face he quickly turned to look at the stage. There, he saw Quilt and Altair bowing.

But it looked like they were bowing... to him?
