Chapter 341: Chapter 341- I’ll Let You Off This Time

Sol, Yoon-Jae, and Mar-Dule were inside a flying treasure as they headed back to the Academy.

Yoon-Jae had a book about medicinal plants opened, while he casually lay on his side with his chin propped up by his hand.

Meanwhile, Sol was seated cross-legged, smiling awkwardly as Mar-Dule glared daggers at him. It seemed like if Sol so much as uttered a single word, he would erupt in a violent fury.

Mar-Dule had never once managed to hit Sol despite his barrage of attacks. Sol’s level of mastery over his Movement Skill was just too terrifying.

But it wasn’t to the extent Sol was faster than him, he was one minor realm above him after all. Rather it’s the fact that his reaction and intuition were abnormal.

’It’s like he can see the future and dodge my attacks before I make them. It’s so frustrating trying to fight him that I couldn’t be bothered continuing to try to attack him. If I truly wanted to land a hit on him then I would need to use true killing blows, but if I went and accidentally killed him then Mar-Yue would probably skin me alive.’

As Mar-Dule thought this his glare became more intense, causing Sol to fidget in place.

After a moment of hesitation, Sol flipped over his hand and produced a green fruit that resembled an apple. It was about the size of an adult fist.

Nothing about this fruit looked ordinary. Surrounding it was a mystical green haze that seemed to have glittering stars within it. As soon as it was in the open air, it filled the entire boat they were in with pure Wood Aether Energy.

Both Yoon-Jae and Mar-Dule turned to look at this green fruit in shock.

Sol held out his hand and offered the fruit to Mar-Dule.

Seeing this, Mar-Dule instinctively wanted to reach out and grab the fruit, however, he quickly stopped himself and instead glared at Sol.

"Do you think this fruit is enough to make up for what you did?"

Sol paused for a moment before flipping over his hand and producing two more fruits, both slightly bigger than the first.

Immediately, the Wood Aether Energy in the boat skyrocketed. Yoon-Jae and Mar-Dule’s bodies trembled as a warm sensation washed over their bodies.

This type of Wood Aether energy was extremely pure and wasn’t at all the same as regular Wood Aether Energy.

This Energy was more like Life Essence that could be absorbed and not conflict with any of the other elements.

If this was just the aura that emanated from this fruit, just how amazing would it be if they ate it?

Yoon-Jae put down the book and sat up. Meanwhile, Mar-Dule’s eyes reflected the glitter stars in the green mist surrounding the fruit as he waved his hand and sent them flying over.

After they landed in his hands, he took up the smaller of the three and examined it.

"What is this fruit, Sol?"

Mar-Dule was just about to ask that question, but Yoon-Jae beat him to it.

"When I broke through to the Spiritual Realm, my Innate Dharma went through its first evolution. It was only a seedling before but now it’s a tree about two meters tall. It also bears these fruits. They’re formed from my Innate Dharma splitting off a portion of the Wood Aether Energy I cultivate, and then condensing it."

"What do they do?"

Mar-Dule asked, glancing away from the fruit in his hand to look at Sol.

Scratching his cheek Sol said.

"I’m not sure exactly. When I ran out of food in seclusion, I ate them out of hunger, and they lessened my appetite quite a bit. However, I feel the effects would be different for someone else. If I really had to guess, they might have some healing effects."

After listening to Sol, Mar-Dule looked down at the fruit in his hands and tentatively took a small bite.

The mist surrounding the fruit acted like an outer layer of skin and a bite mark was left in it. What was revealed inside was a green inner layer dripping with rich glittering juices.

Both Sol and Yoon-Jae watched Mar-Dule take a bite before his eyes soon went wide. Then even before he began chewing the portion already in his mouth, he took another bite. Then with another two bites, the fruit was completely gone.

After eating the fruit, Mar-Dule’s body suddenly trembled and ecstasy filled his face. At the same time, an almost unnoticeable green glow appeared on the surface of his skin before disappearing quickly.

If Sol and Yoon-Jae weren’t observing him closely, they would have missed it.

"So? What’s it like?"

Mar-Dule looked down at his hand and saw that some of the fruit’s juice was on his fingers. He started licking them clean as he said.

"It’s delicious. Probably the tastiest thing I’ve ever consumed."

Yoon-Jae frowned.

"Damn fatty, I’m not talking about the taste! What are the effects?"

Mar-Dule seemed too intoxicated licking the juices off his finger to even get mad at Yoon-Jae. He simply answered.

"Just like Sol said, it has healing effects, extremely extraordinary healing effects. From my estimation, it’s likely on the same level as a 7th Tier Healing Pill. Also, if I was cultivating Wood Aether Energy, this one fruit would have been enough to replenish my Aether Energy by more than half."

Hearing that, Sol and Yoon-Jae went into thought. Sol was the first to speak.

"I think it’s better than a Tier 7 Healing Pill. Unlike medicinal pills that can lose their effects over time, this fruit wouldn’t. Its effects would likely be the same as me using my Innate Dharma’s natural healing ability."

Yoon-Jae nodded, having come to the same conclusion.

Eyes shining even more, Mar-Dule picked up another fruit and took a large bite.

Yoon-Jae watched as Mar-Dule scarfed down the fruits like a pig and he frowned slightly.

"Here, Yoon-Jae."

Sol said as he handed another fruit over to Yoon-Jae.

"Thanks."

Yoon-Jae took it, and after examining it, took a bite.

That one bite made his eyes light up, and he had to force himself not to follow Mar-Dule’s lead and scarf down the fruit.

"This thing is dangerous; it can become extremely addictive to eat."

"Really? When I ate it, I tasted nothing."

Sol was bummed that he had something that seemed like it tasted amazing but couldn’t enjoy it.

After finishing remaining two fruits and licking his fingers, Mar-Dule looked at the partially eaten fruit in Yoon-Jae’s hand and gulped.

It was a lot larger than the ones Sol had given him, almost the size of two adults’ fists.

Yoon-Jae ignored Mar-Dule’s greedy stare and went back to reading his book, while occasion munching on his massive fruit; determined to savor every bite.

Seeing this, Mar-Dule turned to Sol, his eyes still shining.

Sol smiled apologetically and he took out another fruit. It was the size of a single adult’s dist.

"My Innate Dharma only produces ten each month with varying sizes. I had over two dozen but after eating some while in seclusion, I was left with seven. I gave Mar-Yue two before we left, so this is the last one."

Hearing that, Mar-Dule became dejected but still looked grateful as he reached out to take the fruit.

However, Sol suddenly pulled his hand back and asked.

"Are you still mad at me?"

Mar-Dule blinked.

He had completely forgotten about that.

Waving his hand dismissively, Mar-Dule said.

"Since it was a misunderstanding, I’ll let you off this time. But don’t you ever try that again with my sister, got it?"

Sol nodded in acknowledgment, but internally, he was crossing his fingers.
