The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 331- What Should I Do Mom?

Chapter 331: Chapter 331- What Should I Do Mom?

Even though Sol’s call was soft, Abdu had still heard it. He shot up to see Sol falling to the ground.

Without hesitation, Abdu got up and his figure blurred as he raced to Sol.

"Sol!"

Abdu called out when he came to Sol’s side.

"Wha-What happened to you? Sol? Sol!"

Sol looked away from the starry night sky to look at Abdu’s face. He wanted to speak, but as he opened his mouth to do so more blood escaped his lips and ran down the side of his cheeks.

Sol felt his life slipping away.

"Sol! Sol!"

Sol heard Abdu’s cry getting fainter and fainter.

Immense fear gripped him, and tears pooled in his eyes.

’I don’t want to die.’

A thought passed through Sol’s mind as his consciousness was about to fade. However, before it could fully fade away, the crescent moon residing in his mindscape trembled.

Maybe it shouldn’t have acted, but Sol’s emotions were simply too strong that it triggered a reaction from it.

Suddenly, Sol saw the world in front of him distorted. The cave and Abdu started to fade away.

However, despite Abdu fading away, his voice calling out to him still lingered in Sol’s ears. But his voice started to change to that of a woman, and even the way he was being called began to change.

"Solly! Solly! Please, wake up! Solly!!"

This voice was filled with desperation, so much so it filled Sol’s heart with sadness, and just for this voice, he struggled to crack his half-closed eyes open. His once fading consciousness and life force hung by a thread, but it hadn’t fully snapped.

Sol even had the strength to turn his head to the left where the voice was coming from.

Sol was being held close in someone’s embrace.

What he saw, or rather who he saw, was a woman. Even though her face had splashes of blood on it while it was twisted into an expression of pure grief, she still looked extremely beautiful.

Sol also found her extremely familiar.

With all the strength he had, Sol opened his mouth and said.

"Mom?"

The woman’s body trembled, and her hands instinctively tightened around her son.

"Mom is here Solly. Don’t worry, you’ll be fine. Just stay awake from me, okay?"

Sol suddenly saw a golden glow shimmering on his abdomen, and he struggled to look down.

He saw that the golden glow was coming from his mother’s hand as it hovered a few inches away from the black spear protruding from his belly.

The golden glow was gentle and warm, it was suppressing the tyrannical and almost bloodthirsty aura coming from the spear.

If that aura was left loose while the spear was inside of him, Sol was sure he would be nothing but pieces of flesh and organs. Even his soul would be obliterated into nothingness.

Sol then looked around and saw that he was no longer in the cave but inside a familiar garden with a Pavilion nearby. However, the smell of death lingered in the area as countless corpses were strewn about in the surroundings.

Some had their heads cut off, while some were directly severed by the waist or straight down the middle.

One thing that could be seen from the wounds of these corpses was that they were killed by a single strike of a sharp weapon.

Something caught Sol’s attention and his gaze drifted to his side. Just a few inches away from his fingers was a golden halberd.

If not for its shattered blade and its lackluster golden color, this halberd would have looked like a Godly Weapon that could massacre ghosts and devils alike.

Sol wanted to look around once more, but he suddenly winced.

"Don’t move Solly, save your energy."

Zia said frantically.

Sol decided to stop looking around and gaze back at his mother.

Wha... What happened?"

Zia smiled at her son’s question, and though it was filled with pride there was also a bit of sorrow hidden beneath it.

"Those lesser beings tried to ambush us, but they were killed by you in a single strike of your halberd. You looked extraordinarily valiant and brave on the battlefield, just like your father."

Sol’s mind trembled upon hearing that. Even though these people were dead, he could tell they were at a level he couldn’t comprehend from the terrifying aura their bodies gave off.

Not believing his mother’s words immediately, Sol crocked out.

"I’m... that strong?"

Zia’s smile got even wider, but tears pooled at the corner of her eyes.

"Hm, of course you’re strong. You are the child of the Sun Goddess Hemera and the Young Titan Lord Su. Both the pure God Race bloodline and the Titan Race bloodline flows through you. If it was not for the sneak attack from the commander when I was distracted, you would have undoubtedly slaughtered these weaklings."

After saying this, Zia’s face became sad and guilt-ridden.

"It’s Mother’s fault you’re injured, I was too careless."

Sol looked at his mother, and though he didn’t under what was going on, the current situation felt too real.

Currently, he felt like a star shining brightly one last time before it was snuffed out. He didn’t have long left, so with panic and overflowing emotions, he blurted out things he had always wanted to say to her if he ever got the chance.

"Mother, you’re really beautiful."

Zia’s expression faltered upon hearing that before she involuntarily released a soft giggle that could make any being in the cosmos swoon.

"Solly, what are you saying in this situation?"

However, despite her laughter, the woman had not once lost her focus on suppressing the terrifying aura from the spear. As for pulling it out, she didn’t even dare touch it.

Sol smiled weakly, and though his face was pale while his lips were covered in blood, it was still filled with happiness.

Sol then looked at the starry night sky that was without a moon then continued to say.

"I also want to tell you that I found a girlfriend, she’s almost as beautiful as you. Her name is Mar-Yue."

Zia paused when she heard her son and a look of confusion appeared in her eyes. Though Sol didn’t notice.

"I really, really like her and I think you would have liked her too."

Sol then went on to describe how he met Mar-Yue in the Eternal Desert and she had dragged him out of his slump before they got together. However, he blushed slightly and quickly glossed over their intimate moments.

Zia remained silent as she listened to her son recounting this bizarre story; one she thought he had made up. She was sure he did because, since his birth, he had never left her side except for his strolls around the Realm with his father.

"But..."

Sol suddenly stopped talking, and an expression filled with pain, worry, and confusion appeared on his face.

Zia didn’t understand what her son was saying, but as long as he was alive and breathing then it didn’t matter.

She shifted him closer into her chest and held him tighter as if to silently encourage him to continue.

After some time, Sol finally said what had been bothering him in one breath.

"But there is this friend that I met in the Academy. I like him because he’s like a brother to me and I ever only had one other person like that before, which I lost. He likes me too, but the thing is, he likes me like how I like Mar-Yue. Mom, what should I do? If I tell him I don’t like him in the same way then I’ll hurt him, but I promise that I’ll protect those close to me, not hurt them. But... But I’ve been doing something horrible to him, something that if he finds out then it’ll ruin our friendship. What should I do Mom?"
