Chapter 329: Chapter 329- A Hundred Times More Painful!!

Abdu, who was startled awake by Sol’s gut-wrenching scream had jumped up from his position to look at Sol.

Seeing his condition, he was about to rush over but paused when Sol began to sit up while saying.

"I-I’m fine... Little Abdu."

Sol struggled to say that as he sat up.

Abdu took a glance at him before laying back down to cultivate.

After sitting up, Sol raised his hand to wipe the blood from his lips. Glancing down, he looked at the fissures that had appeared on his skin.

Sol’s heart started to pound rapidly with nervousness, but he tried his best to calm down.

"Even Master’s training never brings me that much agony. Maybe if I had tried to do this more moderately, I would be able to endure it. But if I did this slowly who knows how long I’ll be in seclusion. It might even take weeks if not months to refine my skin, not to mention my bones or internal organs. At that point, I would be in here for a few years at most!"

Sol shook his head, despite how painful this method would be for him he had to do this. Even though he had felt death just moments ago, he had also sensed an opportunity, an opportunity to increase his strength. And that’s all he ever wanted the moment he left his village.

"I’m definitely on the right track. Only through destruction can someone new and stronger be forged."

Sol’s eyes glittered with renewed determination and a desire to see this through to the end.

With a thought from Sol, the two bracelets around his wrists expanded to hover in front of him once again.

After activating Total Eclipse, Sol unhesitant began fusing his crescent moon energy with his flesh and skin before he could back out. Once again that unimaginable pain wracked his body and he released a painful howl.

Sol didn’t bother trying to suppress it, though even if he wanted to, he couldn’t.

At the same time, the fissures on his body increased while dark energy began seeping out of the cracks.

Sol felt the reaper’s scythe prickling his throat, and thoughts of stopping entered his mind.

However, Sol’s eyes flashed with madness and instead sent his bracelets flying across the cave and embedded them into the wall with an earthshattering boom.

Sol had essentially cornered himself and left no way out for him to stop this process. The crescent moon’s energy had already gone out of his control and was rushing to fuse with his skin and flesh.

The energy had felt this body was too weak to even stay inside a second longer than it needed to, but since Sol insisted on it fusing with his body, Sol could forget about stopping it using normal means.

As the energy from the crescent moon tattoo rushed out to fuse with Soul’s skin and flesh, the dark energy between the gaps in the fissures increased to cover almost the entirety of the cave.

Abdu’s face changed when he saw this. He felt like Sol had become a massive source of energy that was about to explode.

Thoughts of stopping Sol’s actions appeared in his mind, but when Abdu saw the determination in Sol’s eyes, he stopped himself.

Once again Abdu could only watch on as Sol continued his reckless actions.

But perhaps this time was different.

Abdu’s eyes narrowed when he saw the dark energy leaking out slowly start retreating. Even the feeling of an explosion began reducing.

However, Sol’s screams only got louder and louder as a portion of his skin suddenly burst into a mist of blood.

Then in quick succession, several more layers of his skin and flesh burst into blood-mist.

The pain from this had Sol feeling like he was going to go crazy.

This wasn’t at all on the same level as when he got Yoon-Jae to help temper his skin and flesh with flames. At that time, Sol had this very energy as well as his Innate Dharma to rapidly heal him.

However, when Sol sensed that his Innate Dharma was about to send out Wood Aether Energy to heal him, he stopped it.

Furthermore, after his skin burst into blood-mist, the abundance of energy coursing through his skin and flesh would instantly heal him before bursting into blood-mist once again.

This was a continuous cycle of his skin and flesh exploding over and over again. In just a few breaths worth of time, several dozen sounds of explosion and blood-mist had occurred in the cave.

But despite the pain he was in, the madness and determination in Sol’s eyes only grew.

But more so he drew on his masochist nature, reaching deep down to the very depths of this barrel to scoop up a handful.

Over and over Sol told himself this pain was good; this pain would make him stronger. In fact, he should like this pain, the more the better!

Ridiculously enough, this mantra worked, as it gave him the strength to not black out from the pain.

Thankfully, or rather shockingly, after around ten hours, Sol’s agonizing shrieks lessened until they stopped altogether. The explosion of his flesh and skin also came to a crawl before stopping.

All this while, Abdu had paused his cultivation to observe Sol. He could guess the amount of pain he was in, but to last ten hours without pause made Abdu question who else could do that.

He had never seen someone be so brutal to themselves. So, he was shocked and somewhat impressed by Sol to say the least.

Sitting in a pool of his own blood, Sol’s body trembled before he tilted, about to fall over. However, Sol quickly caught himself and sat up straight.

He then looked down at his body and smiled weakly.

"I... did it."

Sol’s voice was completely hoarse from his incessant screaming for ten hours on end. He could barely speak.

Nonetheless, the outcome overshadowed that.

The pain he was feeling from refining his skin and flesh was slowly fading away thanks to the energy from the crescent moon and his Innate Dharma.

Though blood was covering his body, Sol could still see that his skin was glistening. It also had a paler complexion than before while looking extremely soft and delicate.

But despite this appearance, Sol could feel that if he was attacked by Yoon-Jae’s two Phoenix Innate Dharmas without any protection, he wouldn’t suffer any major external energy.

But of course, his organs would be obliterated in the process.

Sol’s eyes flickered, and not caring to clean the blood from his body he chose to continue his refinement.

Sol had never taken off his bracelets for so long and he didn’t know how strong the backlash would be after he put them on. But maybe he wouldn’t need to worry.

After refining his body for a second time perhaps it would be strong enough to absorb a second portion of his crescent moon bloodline. At that point, the physical strength he would have after taking off two of his bracelets would become his own, resulting in no backlash at all.

Sol’s eyes hardened and he decided not to slow down his pace and keep going until he refined his entire body.

However, there was a catch.

Refining one’s skin and flesh was not the same as refining one’s bones, tendons, and organs. Especially one’s organs.

It was ten times, no, perhaps a hundred times more painful!
