Chapter 328- So Close To Death

Chapter 328: Chapter 328- So Close To Death

Three Months Ago...

Inside his Immortal cave, Sol was seated cross-legged with a slightly anxious expression on his face.

After another month of cultivation, he had opened the acupoints in his torso.

He had desired this to work so much that he opted to open the ones in his head, which was even more dangerous than opening the ones in his torso. One mistake and he would have become a fool.

However, Sol wanted this to work badly, even if opening all of his acupoints didn’t have an effect on the success rate. The chance that it might was still there.

Now after a month of cultivating, he was going to do it. He was going to try and refine his body for a second time using the Bloodline Energy from his crescent moon.

Sol did a few inhales and exhales to calm his rapidly beating heart. He then controlled the two bracelets on his wrists to expand and hover in the air in front of him.

Sol’s uncut hair turned golden, while the crescent moon and Holy Crest sun tattoo appeared on his forehead.

The feeling coming from Sol was no longer that of a human. He seemed otherworldly as if he was a divine being that had descended from the Realm of Gods and Demons.

Abdu felt this strange aura, and he opened his eyes. However, he only glanced at Sol before he went back to his own cultivation. Though, he didn’t go into deep meditation, but rather left some of his consciousness outside to be on alert if anything happened.

Sol didn’t immediately start trying to refine his body. He opened his eyes and looked down at his hands.

In this state, he could feel the power from his two tattoos inside of him.

’I wonder if I can use them at the same time. I’ve only ever used one or the other.’

After a moment of thinking, Sol felt that was an extremely bad idea.

The very reason why he never tried to do it in the past and always opted to use one or the other separately, was that he instinctively felt it would be dangerous if he tried to combine them.

Sol cast these thoughts aside before he willed his crescent moon tattoo to come forward.

The crescent moon heeded his wishes and slowly shifted in front of the Holy Crest sun tattoo.

As Total Eclipse was activated, Sol’s golden hair transformed into a black-reddish color. At the same time, dark energy seeped out of the corner of his closed eyes. Each exhale produced a cloud of white fog that looked like steam.

Sol felt the energy from his crescent moon spread to every corner of his body, empowering his outer skin and down to his bones and cells.

Immediately, his pants burst apart as his physique grew by nearly two feet, transforming into a miniature mountain of a person.

Unlike the Giant Race’s transformation, where their muscle mass would increase giving them bulging muscles, and even reducing their flexibility while adding rigidness to their moments, Sol’s transformation was different. He indeed gained muscle mass, but they weren’t exaggerated.

He still retained a lean figure and his flexibility in this form. It even seemed like his body had transformed into a perfect physique for combat. But this form didn’t look like some transformation that increased his strength briefly, but rather how he was supposed to look.

It suited him.

The same could be said for the energy coursing throughout his body from the crescent moon.

It wasn’t merely power meant for temporarily increasing his strength, but power that was meant to be wielded naturally. The only hindrance was that his physique was too weak to handle this power.

At any other time, this Bloodline Energy would merely flow through Sol’s body increasing strength. After he placed back the bracelets around his wrists, the energy then slowly retreated into the crescent moon.

It felt like there was a disconnect between his body and this energy as if the energy didn’t deem Sol’s body up to par for it to remain.

However, when he was injured, some of the energy would remain to heal his injury while improving his physique. However, this changed recently to where even without an injury the energy was improving Sol’s body.

But this wasn’t enough, Sol didn’t just want the energy to improve his body by a bit, he wanted it to refine his entire body!

Sol gritted his teeth before exerting his will over the insurmountable energy pouring out of his crescent moon tattoo.

Despite there being a disconnect between this energy and his body, he would force it to remain in his body and refine it!

However, as Sol controlled the dark energy to fuse with his skin and flesh, his eyes bulged while his body trembled uncontrollably.

Sol swallowed the agonizing roar that was about to erupt from his mouth and gritted his teeth even harder.

He knew this would be a painful process. When the pain hit him, his first instinct was to endure it as he always did. But he truly underestimated exactly how painful this would be.

The agonizing cry trapped in Sol’s throat was set free and it reverberated in the cave. It even caused the cave to tremble and dust to fall from the ceiling.

The bracelets that were hovering in front of Sol quickly clamped back around his wrists sealing his bloodlines.

Sol’s body instantly shrank while the dark energy around him disappeared with a pooffing sound.

With a pale face, Sol suddenly coughed out a mouth full of blood before he weakly collapsed onto his side.

Tears were in the corner of his eyes and a hint of fear dilated his pupils to pin-sized needles.

Slowly, fissures appeared on Sol’s skin that went on to cover his entire body. He looked fragile. As if he was a porcelain vase that had been dropped onto the ground and was on the verge of shattering.

Indeed, Sol felt that if he had continued to fuse the energy from his crescent moon into his skin and flesh, then he might have really exploded.

The fear in Sol’s eyes was due to him sensing the death reaper’s scythe appearing mere inches away from his throat.

Sol had never felt so close to death...

???

Or perhaps he had because that initially fear in his eyes faded and was quickly replaced by determination.
