Chapter 317: Chapter 317- If My Master Sees You Then He Might Kill You

The breathing instructions his little sister taught him to calm down was the last thing Cian was thinking about at this moment.

"Mother Nyx, Goddess of the Night! This child of yours is useless, completely useless! Why would you choose this incompetent child to become a God’s Chosen? I’m useless, utterly useless!"

Cian was on all fours pounding the ground with his fists as he cried out those words.

It has been a long time since he broke down like this. His little sister would always know what to say to calm him down, but since he was here by himself, he had no one he could turn to.

Even the few hundred people he came here with from the Church weren’t from his camp and shared the same mindset as him and his little sister. He was truly all alone in this foreign land trying to accomplish an impossible task.

"WAH!!"

The more Cian thought about his current situation, the louder his wails became.

His current reaction wasn’t due to him being immature, it would take a lot for him to break down like this. But this situation had truly pushed him to his limits, both mentally and physically.

Little Zeel at first simply glared at this person, but as Cian’s crying continued for a few minutes, the angry look in his eyes turned to confusion.

Little Zeel came out of his attack stance and hesitated for a moment. Soon, he slowly walked over to the crying Cian. He stopped ever so often to make sure this wasn’t some trick by this person.

However, Cian didn’t even notice Little Zeel was approaching him.

When Little Zeel confirmed that Cian was actually crying and wasn’t acting, he approached and stopped a few feet away before asking.

"What are you crying for? I’ve never seen someone cry so much, not even my Master cries this much you know?"

When Cian heard this voice, his crying abruptly stopped, and his head shot up to look around. However, when he saw no one around his tears and snot-covered face showed a confused expression.

Little Zeel rolled his eyes and said.

"What are you looking around for, I’m the one talking to you."

Cian paused, then turned to look down at the strange green beast sitting in front of him.

He gulped and then asked.

"How are you talking? Aren’t you Holy Beast?"

"Holy Beast? I’m a Spirit Beast."

Little Zeel said confused.

"Ah, right, that’s what magical beasts on the Eastern Continent are called. For us on the Western Continent, our Church calls them Holy Beast while the Royal Families call them Mana Beasts."

Little Zeel nodded in understanding.

"But if you have beasts like me over there, why are you surprised I can talk? Don’t you have beasts that can talk as well?"

Cian nodded but explained with a stiff expression.

"Our Church’s territory has produced a few Holy Beasts in the past that could talk, and even currently the Beorhtric family is said to have a legendary Dragon hidden away that might have human intelligence. However, those beasts are all powerful existences at the 7th or 8th Class, I’ve never heard of a Holy Beast or Mana Beast as weak as you form human intelligence to such a degree."

Little Zeel’s cute face seemed to distort into a displeased expression as he growled.

"Who are you calling weak? You bastard, I can defeat most Quasi-Spiritual Realm cultivators!"

Cian wiped his face and after a thought he said.

"If we were to go by my Church’s or the Royal Families cultivation system of Holy Energy and Mana, you would be... around the peak of the 3rd Class. Yep, there’s never been a 3rd Class Holy Beast or Mana Beast with your intelligence. Even the offsprings of power Holy Beasts and Mana Beasts have never been capable of speaking human language even though they would be slightly intelligent to understand human speech."

Little Zeel suddenly puffed out his little chest and said proudly.

"How can you compare me to those lowly beasts? I am an existence far above them!"

Cian’s eyes flickered, and he nodded.

"That’s the only way, you must have a bloodline from a legendary Divine beast like that Dragon from the Beorhtric Family. As for which Divine Beast Bloodline you have, I have no clue. I’ve been studiously studying about the Eastern Continent since I came am here, but I’ve never read about a beast like you in those books."

Cian said this as he looked Little Zeel up and down.

Little Zeel took a step back and his guard went up.

Seeing this, Cian raised his hands and said.

"I mean you no harm, I believe that if a beast like yourself can run around the Academy without anyone eyeing you, then your master must be someone with a great status in Jianghu or perhaps they have a force or someone powerful backing him."

Little Zeel’s chest puffed out and he seemed prouder than before as he said.

"My Master is the number one genius on the Eastern Continent!"

Cian’s eyes flickered.

"So, you’re Master is Byeong-Ho of the Hushan Sect? Can I perhaps meet him, I have something to discuss with him."

Little Zeel looked at Cian as if he was an idiot.

"I’m not talking about Big Brother Byeong-Ho, I’m talking about my Master, his name is Solovin, but he goes by Sol by everyone."

"Sol?"

Cian showed a confused expression, and it took him a while to find the information on this name from his memories.

"I’ve heard someone with that name was able to fight with Byeong-Ho of the Huashan Sects on equal footing nearly a year ago, but after that, he kind of disappeared. I never heard anyone talking about him since. You say he’s the number one genius on the Eastern Continent? Perhaps that’s just you boasting about your Master."

Cian laughed when he said this, but Little Zeel didn’t get as angry as expected but looked at Cian with ridicule in his eyes.

"Once he returns, you’ll see for yourself."

"Haha, okay, I’ll look forward to his return."

Cian stood up and brushed his knees. All the overwhelming emotions he had a moment again seemed to have washed away while talking to Little Zeel. Now it seemed like nothing had even happened.

"It was nice to talk to someone, I’ll take my leave now."

Cian went to step around Little Zeel, but Little Zeel suddenly jumped in front of him.

"Wait! I still don’t approve of you staying in the Alchemy Pavilion, you need to leave!"

Cian smiled bitterly and asked.

"Why are you so against me living in the Alchemy Pavilion? I’m really not like the rumors say."

"I know that after talking to you, but you still can’t be in the Alchemy Pavilion. Go to another Pavilion."

Little Zeel was firm in his decision.

"Why?"

Cian asked, still confused by this beast’s attitude.

Little Zeel paused, then said.

"If my Master sees you then he might kill you."
