Chapter 315: Chapter 315- It’s Completely Unfair
When Cian saw this Alchemy Disciple’s reaction, he became even more stunned.
"Is the Martial Alliance Academy so lawless? Is this what the number one institution is like? Aren’t there rules for fights amongst disciples?"
As Cian asked these questions, he saw the state the youth was in and realized if this continued, he might be killed!
Cian eyes narrowed and he took huge strides towards the alleyway.
However, another Alchemy Disciple who was nearby suddenly spoke up.
"Big Brother, you’re from the Church, it wouldn’t be good if you get involved."
Cian turned around and saw that it was a female disciple. She looked to be a first year that had just entered the Academy.
Despite Cian being from the Western Continent, she actually went out of her way to help him. And she was right, Cian might not know what was causing this situation, but it seemed like it had something to do with the faction that red robe youth was from.
However, Cian smiled and said.
"Thanks for warning me, but I can’t just sit by and watch something like this happening without doing something."
The girl then watched helplessly as Cian calmly walked towards the alleyway. She sighed but quickly hurried away. She hoped no one noticed she was talking to Cian.
After Cian reached the entrance of the alleyway, he opened his mouth and said.
"What are you five doing?!"
He didn’t shout, but his voice was like the roar of a lion as it echoed unceasingly in the narrow alleyway. It caused the five youths’ bodies to jolt.
With pale expressions, they turned to look at the entrance thinking an Elder had caught them. However, when they saw Cian walking towards them, their faces changed to sneers.
"You-!"
One of the two youths in black robes pointed at Cian and was about to bark at him to stay out of this because he was an outsider. But Cian had no intention of conversing with these people.
"Leave, or I’ll make sure you never do."
Cian’s once golden pupils turned pitch black. When the five youths had these eyes land on them, their bodies trembled all the way down to their bones.
They could feel a malevolent aura from those eyes. But not just that, it felt like those eyes were seeing right into their souls and if they continued to gaze at them, their souls might tear apart.
It was merely a feeling, and it would never actually happen, but the sensation felt so real it scared these five youths out of their wits.
Without even a hint of hesitation, these five youths turned around and sprinted out of the alleyway as if they had just encountered a demented ghost.
After scaring off the five youths, the pace of Cian’s steps increased as he made his way over the red robe youth who was struggling to get up.
"Hey, take it easy, you’re really injured."
Cian bent down and helped Gu-Nam lean against the wall.
"Th-Thank you."
"Don’t speak. Here, drink this. It’s a High-Tier elixir from my Church; it’ll help heal your wounds in a few minutes."
Gu-Nam was just about to accept this person’s help, but when he heard the mention of a Church, his expression changed.
Because he was seeing stars from the beating and his tears had blurred his vision, Gu-Nam couldn’t see Cian’s face clearly. However, he now knew who this person was.
"N-No! I don’t need your help!"
Gu-Nam said in a panic as he knocked the elixir from his face. This sent the elixir flying out of Cian’s hand and crashing onto the ground.
Thankfully, Cian hadn’t opened the bottle yet, so it hadn’t spilled, and neither was the glass bottle fragile enough to smash with such impact to the ground.
Cian looked at the elixir roll to a stop before he sighed and stood up.
"Okay, you probably have some way to treat your wounds."
Cian walked over to the elixir and picked it up before placing it inside his wide sleeves.
Without another word, he turned and was about to leave.
However, Gu-Nam gritted his teeth and then called out.
"C-Cian..."
His voice was still hoarse.
Cian stopped and turned to look at the youth a bit surprised.
"You know who I am?"
Gu-Nam looked at Cian weirdly as he nodded.
"Aren’t you the number one genius from the Church? It would be weird if someone in the Academy doesn’t know you."
Cian paused and nodded in understanding before he walked over to Gu-Nam.
After Cian silently stopped in front of him, Gu-Nam looked from side to side to see if anyone was looking into the alleyway.
When he saw no one was looking, he turned back to look at Cian and tears appeared in his eyes as he said.
"Thank you for saving me, I’ll never forget what you did for me. I-I can’t keep my promise of becoming your servant, but if you need my help in the future I’ll help without a single complaint."
When Cian heard that and saw the tears in Gu-Nam’s eyes, he sort of understand why Gu-Nam reacted like that before.
"Why did those people attack you?"
Gu-Nam tried to sit up a bit more before saying.
"You must have researched the Holy Sects and Great Clans in Jianghu before coming here, right?"
Cian nodded.
"Then you must know the Wudang Sect. With the news of what they did spreading just as you came to the Martial Alliance Academy, you must have also heard some news about what they did."
Cian thought for a moment then nodded.
"I’ve heard they’ve committed a great sin by snatching things called Innate Dharmas from young prodigies in Jianghu. After which they were forced by the Shaolin Sect to close their doors."
Gu-Nam nodded gravely then added.
"But not only that, the Irregular Dharma Pavilion was operated by them. However, after this news broke, everyone in the Irregular Dharma Pavilion became the enemies of Jianghu, even the disciples who weren’t from the Wudang Sect."
After saying this, Gu-Nam clenched his fists and more tears appeared in his eyes.
"All the disciples of the Wudang Sect were forced to return to their Sect, so how could I, and the ones remaining in the Irregular Dharma Pavilion be a part of the Wudang Sect? I’m not, yet they’re taking out all of their resentment and anger on us for what the Wudang Sect did. It’s completely unfair."
The tears accumulating in Gu-Nam’s eyes finally fell, but he quickly wiped them away.
