Chapter 287: Chapter 287- A Sign Of Unconditional Love?
Sol was still planning on cultivating his bloodline while trying to understand them, but he wasn’t going to rely on them in battle and risk people digging into his background.
Using it in front of everyone while fighting Elder Hyun-Joo and the Sand King was one too many times. Thankfully, he could trust Yoon-Jae and the others, and due to how simple-minded everyone in the Tribe was, they didn’t even question how Sol could transform like them. Rather everyone just started calling him cousin. In their eyes, Sol might as well be a part of their Bloodline Tribe.
With all of that being said, with his talents in Martial Arts, that alone should be enough for Sol to suppress everyone in this generation. But thinking about how he would need to use his bloodlines if he wanted to compete on the same level as the other geniuses if he went back to Jianghu now, was slightly humiliating for him. After all, his talent in Martial Arts was the only reason why his Master had taken him in.
And it wasn’t like his bloodlines were necessarily stronger than his Immortal Cultivation. It’s just that compared to the power he could wield as early as he was in his Immortal Cultivation was far from equivalent to what he could wield with his two bloodlines at the same stage.
’If I continue like this, not only could it be damaging in the future, but I’ll be unable to face Master. So, this is the final time for now.’
Sol clenched his fist before he extended his palm toward the flames on the horizon and uttered a single word.
"Extinguish."
After that word was uttered, Mar-Yue and Mar-Dule didn’t feel like anything had happened. However, to someone in the Heavenly Realm like Mar-Du, it was extremely clear. Cultivators in the Heavenly Realm could bend the Worldly Laws to their will.
Mar-Du specifically wasn’t like cultivators in Jianghu that practiced Sword Arts, or Mystical Abilities like conjuring a Divine Serpent from Fire Aether Energy. Rather he relied on his body to bend, or rather shatter the Heavenly Laws.
However, this was not to say he was weaker than those Heavenly Realm cultivators in Jianghu. In fact, his position of power when considering the entire Eastern Continent should be a tell of how powerful a cultivator who cultivated their Fleshly Body was in the Heavenly Realm.
But it was due to this level of power, and slight familiarity with the Worldly Laws that caused his entire body to tremble when Sol uttered that seemingly simple word.
Unbeknownst to the others, Mar-Du had been using his aura along with his rune to block out the heat. Being at this distance was bearable, but the golden flames themselves were different, they contained Worldly Laws powerful enough to burn him alive.
With his aura released into the surroundings, Mar-Du clearly felt how the Worldly Laws in the dimension were literally held hostage by... ??
Mar-Du didn’t even know what it was he could only speculate, but this formless power was strong enough to force the Worldly Laws into submission.
That kind of power wasn’t something a normal cultivator should be able to accomplish.
Perhaps it was powers only an Immortal or a God should be able to wield, like those three individuals.
And yet, this power was being wielded by a brat in the Mortal Realm.
Mar-Du thought he couldn’t be surprised any more by Sol, but not only was he surprised, this might be his biggest scare yet.
While Mar-Du was reeling from shock, Mar-Dule suddenly looked into the distance and yelled.
"Ah! The flames in the distance are fading away!"
"The heat has also lessened."
Mar-Yue added as she was more in tune with Fire Aether Energy and could sense the slightest change in the surroundings.
In the air, Sol suddenly felt a stabbing pain coming from his soul and he grimaced.
He had just used his ability on a large scale, if he were to try using it again, his soul might receive irreparable damage.
Sol glanced at the horizon, and seeing the golden light fading away, he smiled.
"I had initially thought it was best to be close to the flames to completely extinguish it, but this ability targets anything from anywhere, just so long as I can see it. And in addition, it feels easier to use this ability here than in the outside world. I wonder why that is the case?"
Abdu who had his eyes closed suddenly said.
"This is a separate dimension that was created by Immortal Mar-Tu, so the Worldly Laws in here aren’t as strong or rigid as the ones outside. Plus, this place would have collapsed if not for the huge Formation Array that’s keeping it stabilized."
Sol nodded in understanding.
Afterward, he looked at the ground that was scorched by the Divine Flames. Who knows how many thousands of years these flames had been burning everything in here?
It might take several decades for any vegetation to grow, perhaps only plants with fire affinity could survive in this environment for the time being.
After thinking for a moment, Sol controlled his bracelets rotating behind him to clamp back onto his wrist, which caused his hair to return to normal and the Holy Energy around him to be snuffed out.
He then raised his hand and his seedling Innate Dharma materialized above his palm.
Sol smiled when he saw it and used his finger to rub the seed before saying softly.
"I know I’ve been neglecting you, but that’s going to change from now on. I promise."
The illusory plant sprouting from the seed swayed despite there being no wind.
It was as if it were warning Sol that he better keep his promise.
The smile never left Sol’s face as he nodded vigorously.
Afterward, the seedling did as Sol wanted without him having to say anything.
As it swayed, green specs started to fall from its leaves and scattered into the surroundings.
It started as a few dozen green specs before it increased to a hundred and eventually, it numbered in the thousands.
However, the green specs soon became uncountable as they danced back and forth in the air while spreading into the distance.
Mar-Yue and the others were surrounded by these green specs, and they marveled at them.
The heat that was around them was being replaced by a warm and vibrant feeling.
Mar-Yue suddenly raised her index finger to touch one of the green spec that was floating towards her.
As soon as her finger touched it, the green spec seeped into her fingertip. Mar-Yue could then feel a sliver of vitality rushing into her finger.
Mar-Yue gently circulated her Aether Energy and absorbed this sliver of life energy. It didn’t affect her life span nor could it heal injuries if she had any, but it did cause a warm sensation to well up in her heart.
Mar-Yue turned to Sol, only to see that he was already looking at her with a big smile on his face.
A smile involuntarily spread across Mar-Yu’s lips as well. However, her hand suddenly twitched.
Sol ended up releasing an exasperated sigh at his girlfriend’s desire to punch him. Maybe he should start seeing it as a sign of unconditional love?
