Chapter 283: Chapter 283- Condemned To Damnation
Mar-Du’s laughter soon died down and as he knelt in front of the books, he looked at his son and grinned.
"Our Barbarian Race is going to reign supreme in Spirit Treasure crafting! Not even those bastards from the Land of Shadows will be able to contest with us."
"Is our Blacksmithing Legacy really that grand?"
Mar-Yue asked, and Mar-Du immediately answered.
"Whatever level you’re currently thinking our Blacksmithing Legacy is at compared to those from the Land of Shadows, multiply that by a hundred, no, a thousand!"
"Can I see it?"
Mar-Dule asked, and Mar-Du didn’t hesitate to pick up the three books and hand them over to his son.
He then smiled and said.
"These are now yours, as the future Tribe Leader you can’t slack off in blacksmithing to cultivate. It’ll be difficult to balance the two, but the more arduous the path, the greater the outcome at the end."
Mar-Dule looked a bit emotional as he took the three books from his father. He couldn’t speak so he could only nod his head.
Sol smiled as he watched Mar-Dule and Mar-Yue look over the books. He had happened to glance at a page when Mar-Du was skimming through it, and he saw that there were more Runes than words inside.
He was quite curious, but he opted to wait until these two siblings were finished.
Mar-Du glanced away from his son and daughter before he stood and did a salute of gratitude with his hand over his chest to Abdu.
"Senior, what you have done for our Barbarian Race today will be forever remembered for generations to come. Thank you."
Just thinking about what their future would be like now that they’ve regained their Blacksmithing Legacy, Mar-Du had no doubt they would be able to shatter the notion that they were the weakest of the Races.
Abdu stopped licking his paw to shake his head.
"There’s no need for that, you’ve already repaid your debt by giving me that Heavenly Palace. In fact, I might have gotten the better end of this deal if not for that second item I found inside."
Mar-Du’s entire body stiffened at that, and his heart started to beat wildly in his chest as he watched Abdu wiggled his paw.
However, when he saw what appeared, he was slightly confused.
A piece of parchment had appeared in front of Abdu, and with one look Sol and Mar-Du saw that it was a map.
Mar-Yue and Mar-Dule paused what they were doing to come over and look.
"What is this map?"
Mar-Dule asked, and Mar-Du responded.
"It’s a complete map of our Barbarians Race’s Dimension. However..."
Mar-D’s brows furrowed as he continued.
"It’s slightly different. Perhaps it’s because the terrain has changed after the flames destroyed a portion of the dimension."
"Little Abdu, is there something else left behind by ancestor Mar-Tu?"
From his earlier words it seemed that possibility was high, and indeed Abdu nodded, which caused Mar-Du to perk up.
"I said that Immortal Mar-Tu was far more terrifying than everyone thought. If I’m not mistaken, he left his Heavenly Palace here right as he was about to die, that’s why the Death Energy around it was so strong. However, how did he manage to do something like this?"
Abdu paused to lick his paw, and Mar-Du’s eyes flashed.
"Indeed, this had puzzled us for a long time, we haven’t been able to figure it out, but we speculate that ancestor Mar-Tu must have used some powerful Runes."
Sol, Mar-Yue, and Mar-Dule were wondering what was so unbelievable about this when Abdu paused his grooming to patiently explain.
"Once someone’s Heavenly Palace is ripped from their body and soul, they might not immediately die but their entire cultivation base should have disappeared like smoke. But even after ripping out his Heavenly Palace, your ancestor not only had the strength to seal it inside this stone monument but also placed that powerful concealment formation on it. I believe the only reason you found it so soon was because it had weakened over time."
Mar-Du nodded when he heard that, while Sol, Mar-Yue, and Mar-Dule were quite shocked. Hundreds of years was too short? If so, then how powerful was that concealment formation?
After licking his paw once more, Abdu continued.
"However, if that was all then I wouldn’t be as surprised as I am now."
Abdu then gained a strange look in his eyes as he said.
"That monster not only ripped out his Heavenly Palace. I think right before he did that, he had ripped out that Spiritual Palace thingy as well."
Mar-Du’s body shook, and a shocked expression appeared on his face as he looked down at the map.
Abdu placed his palm at the center of the map and then said seriously.
"He was also able to leave a wisp of his soul inside his Heavenly Palace, if it wasn’t for that tattoo these books and map might have been destroyed after I entered it."
Abdu glanced at Sol, who started to sweat profusely when he heard that. The relief in his heart for speaking up when he did was immense.
"Luckily, I was able to deceive it by allowing it to think I am his descendant with the Giant Race bloodline. After handing over those books, the wisp of Immortal Mar-Tu’s soul said his Spiritual Palace was located at the center of this dimension."
After saying this, Abdu went to lift his palm from the paper, but due to his grooming, the paper stuck to his paw a little.
Abdu’s serious expression faltered upon seeing this, and he wiggled his paw to get the map off before returning to his serious countenance.
Mar-Du thought for a moment but the more he thought about Abdu’s words, the faster his breathing became and the more his body trembled.
He managed to croak out.
"Senior, don’t tell... don’t tell me his Spiritual Palace contains..."
Mar-Du didn’t dare finish his sentence as he couldn’t believe it.
But Abdu nodded his head and confirmed.
"It’s unfortunate that after such a long time has passed, all the Aether Energy inside his Spiritual Palace has most likely dissipated by a great deal. However, that pales in comparison to the true Legacy that he left behind in this dimension, and that’s his bloodline."
Mar-Du couldn’t help but grin, while Mar-Yue and Mar-Dule had stunned looks on their faces.
Just the Blacksmithing Legacy was enough, but now they were hearing that ancestor Mar-Tu had left his Giant Race bloodline behind.
However, Mar-Du’s grin suddenly fell to be replaced by a slight frown.
"But the dimension is currently closed. The flames inside only weakens a few times a year allowing myself and a few Elders to enter, so we’ll have to wait until next year."
Mar-Yue and Mar-Dule hearing this were a bit dejected, but it still didn’t dampen their moods too much.
"Wait."
Sol who had been silent till now stepped forward. His Heavenly Samsara Formation was still spread out and he used it to create the three-circle tattoo once again. He then bent down and let it lower onto the map.
After that Sol turned to Mar-Du and asked.
"Senior Mar-Du, are the flames inside the dimension separated like this?"
Mar-Du nodded, knowing what Sol was going to explain.
However, when Mar-Dule saw the three circles land on the map, his expression suddenly changed to one of befuddlement as he asked.
"Isn’t this similar to the landscape of the Eternal Desert?"
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Mar-Yue asked as she turned to look at the map.
"Look Big Sis, the outermost circle is the first Safe Zone where the Earth Tribe lives. Between the first and second circle is the first Heat Zone. After that is the second circle where the Steel Tribe lives, then comes the second Heat Zone. Lastly, our Bloodline Tribe would be in the third Safe Zone, in the very center of the Eternal Desert."
"You’re right."
Mar-Yue said in shock after hearing Mar-Dule’s explanation.
However, Mar-Du shook his head and spoke.
"Our Bloodline Tribe is only on the outskirts of the third Safe Zone. The Desert Forest is the true center of the Eternal Desert."
"But what does all this mean exactly?"
Mar-Yue looked at her father, but Sol was the one to answer.
"I think it means we’ve figured out how ancestor Mar-Tu was killed."
"How?"
Sol didn’t reply to Mar-Dule’s question, he only conjured an illusory scene of a world.
In this world, a figure bathed in resplendent golden light, that was giving off a Holy Aura, was standing above the Heavens. While on the Earth below a burly man with blue pupils like that of the moon shone dazzlingly. On his forehead was a tattoo of three circles within each other, releasing power that was almost on par with this golden figure.
Suddenly, the figure bathe in golden light above the Heavens pointed down at the burly man, as if he were a God condemning this insignificant being to damnation.
