Chapter 280: Chapter 280- A Mountain Of Gold Falling From The Sky

Sol and Mar-Yue turned to see Mar-Du land behind them along with Mar-Dule.

Abdu didn’t immediately answer but instead looked up. His gaze seemed to pierce the layers of space to see a dimension completely engulfed in golden flames.

After observing those flames, he said.

"It might not be a God, but rather someone wielding the powers of one."

When Sol heard that, he couldn’t help but think to himself.

’Someone using the power of a God? Could it be someone from the Church or rather someone with a Holy Crest?’

As Sol was in his thoughts, Mar-Yue suddenly glowered at her father and said defiantly.

"Dad, I’m not going to return to the Tribe until you approve of our relationship."

Mar-Du smiled and said.

"Okay."

"You-!!"

Mar-Yue was about to yell angrily, but the words got stuck in her throat, and she looked at her father with a dazed expression on her face.

The fire she had in her belly was snuffed out by Mar-Du’s unexpected answer.

Mar-Yue paused, and she looked at her father with a skeptical expression on her face.

"Are you telling the truth? This isn’t some trick right?"

Mar-Du smile became bitter as he shook his head and said.

"Do you not trust your father now?"

Mar-Yue suddenly grinned.

"Father, you don’t have to worry about the Giant Race bloodline disappearing. In the future, I’ll find a way to restore the Giant Race bloodline, not just for our Bloodline Tribe, but for the others as well."

Mar-Du smiled, but he shook his head and then said.

"As long as you’re happy in the future, that’s all that matters."

Mar-Yue was taken aback by that, and she asked with a confused expression.

"Am I not going to be the next Tribe Leader?"

Mar-Du paused then said.

"It depends on the outcome."

Mar-Du’s words were rather mysterious, but he didn’t elaborate. He instead turned to Abdu and placed a fist on his left chest before bowing his head slightly and saying respectfully.

"Senior, I asked that you assist us in helping our Barbarian Race recover our Blacksmithing Legacy."

Mar-Dule next to his father had a shocked look appear on his face, and Mar-Yue wasn’t any different.

Abdu glanced at Mar-Du and asked with confusion.

"How am I supposed to do something like that?"

"Rest assured Senior, I asked this because of your ability to wield Death Energy."

Sol felt Abdu’s body jolt as he stood up. His eyes pierced into Mar-Du as he spoke.

"Lead the way."

Mar-Du nodded before he formed a hand seal and pointed at the stone monument.

Everyone turned to look at it, and the circular runes that formed a circular formation appeared on its surface.

A soft golden light emitted from the circular formation before a small crack appeared in the middle. This crack grew until the stone monument was split in half. It then trembled incessantly as the crack expanded to form a hole.

Inside this hole was pitch black while a strange aura trickled out of it.

Sol and Mar-Yue fearfully took a step back after sensing this aura. However, Sol could sense that Abdu became excited after this aura wafted from the hole.

Mar-Du stepped forward and stood in front of Mar-Yue and Sol. Mar-Dule came up to the two before Mar-Du formed a hand seal and created a yellow rune beneath their feet.

The aura that was coming from the hole was forced back by the rune. Mar-Du then controlled it to rise into the air and enter the hole.

After the group entered, the hole closed back, and the stone monument returned to its normal appearance.

Immediately after entering the hole, Sol felt like he had entered another dimension. However, the feeling was different from the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension.

However, he had felt this feeling before.

Sol looked around but they were in a dark void. The only light came from the yellow rune they were standing on.

"Dad, what is this place? How come you didn’t tell us a place like this was inside the stone monument?"

Mar-Dule turned to Mar-Du and asked.

Mar-Du smiled and said.

"I did, I said the hope of our Barbarian Race was inside here. As for what this place is..."

Mar-Du paused, and he seemed to be thinking.

"It’s hard to explain."

"Does it have something to do with the Heavenly Realm?"

Sol asked, and Mar-Du nodded.

"Let’s just say that once one enters the Heavenly Realm, one would be able to open a separate dimension of their own. This place is such a separate dimension."

After saying this, Mar-Du formed a few hand seals and then tapped his forehead.

A golden string then slowly appeared, extending from his forehead and into the dark expansive void.

Then with a swoosh, the yellow rune sped through the void following the golden string.

Bang!

As soon as they shot off, a loud explosion echoed out frightening the three kids.

Mar-Du reassured them.

"It’s fine, the separate space is deteriorating which causes a few special tears to form. But don’t worry, as long as you’re in my rune everything will be fine."

Everyone calmed down after hearing Mar-Du’s explanation, but Mar-Yue suddenly asked.

"Dad, you said this is a separate space someone obtains when they enter the Heavenly Realm, but whose is it?"

"Why don’t you guess?"

Sol, Mar-Yue, and Mar-Dule had thoughtful looks on their faces, but they didn’t have to think for long before surprised looks appeared on their faces.

Mar-Du seeing this chuckled as he asked.

"Did you figure it out?"

"It’s Ancestor Mar-Tu’s, isn’t it?"

Mar-Dule said, and Mar-Du nodded.

Having their guess confirmed, the three were deeply shaken.

Mar-Dule couldn’t help but look around at the dark void with an even more fascinated gleam in his eyes.

"We’ve arrived."

Mar-Du suddenly said, and the three turned to look ahead, their gazes following the golden thread.

Despite the darkness around them, they were able to see the outline of a massive palace floating through the void.

It was cracked and titled to one side.

As the group got closer, they were able to see that dark miasma-like energy was spilling out of the cracks in the palace.

Sol, Mar-Yue, and Mar-Du all shivered.

The aura they felt back at the entrance of the separate space washed over them. It wasn’t that it had disappeared, it’s just that they were closer to the source of it that the rune was unable to fully keep it out.

When Abdu saw this palace, he stood up on Sol’s head and his eyes began to shine with excitement.

This cracked and decrepit-looking palace was no different from a mountain of gold falling from the sky and landing in front of a poor farmer.
