Chapter 266: Chapter 266- Are You Crying?
Yoon-Jae leaned over and whispered.
"She married into the Miura Clan."
Sol hearing this understood.
"Eldest Sister!"
Mar-Dule yelled as he ran up to the woman.
The woman hefted the boy from her shoulders and placed him down before she smiled and patted Mar-Dule’s head.
"Little brother, it’s been a while."
"Greetings, Uncle Mar-Dule."
The boy said from next to his mother as he bowed to Mar-Dule.
"Ha-ha, look at you, you gained the mannerisms from the Land of Shadows since the last time I saw you."
Mar-Dule furiously rubbed the boy’s neatly combed hair, messing it up.
Then, a topless Mar-Tai suddenly appeared behind the boy.
"Cousin, Mar-Amato!"
He yelled as he picked up the boy and placed him over his shoulders.
"Wha-Put me down! You always do this Cousin Tai!"
Mar-Tai smirked as he said.
"You’ve been gone for so long; I need to ingrain my position as the strongest into your head again!"
Mar-Tai then turned to run off with Mar-Amato, however, a voice suddenly asked in a stern tone.
"Mar-Tai! Where are your upper robes?"
Mar-Tai hearing this voice came to a screeching halt before he turned to look at one of Mar-Dule’s sisters, who was his mother.
"Mom, I just took them off for a bit. I’ll go put them on now."
Mar-Tai then turned and hurried off.
The woman shook her head before saying.
"You brat, you should stop following your older cousins."
"Sister, what’s the big deal? They are not harming anyone."
Mar-Tai’s mother sighed and spoke.
"The behavior of our Barbarian Race is looked down upon in Jianghu. If he’s too influenced by our customs, he’ll find it hard to adapt to Jianghu’s customs."
Not all of Mar-Dule’s sisters lived in the Eternal Desert, some had chosen to live in Jianghu. As for the Land of Shadows, it was too out of the way, and they wouldn’t be able to see family as much. Being that they were seeing their Eldest Sister for the first time in a few years was proof of this.
"Eldest Sister!’
Mar-Yue yelled as she went to hug the woman. The family of sisters and one brother then caught up with each other as they walked back to the center of the Tribe. As for the giant sandworm, which looked more like a snake, it was quickly forgotten.
"Oh, Eldest Sister, I want to introduce you to my friends from the Martial Alliance Academy."
Mar-Dule called over Yoon-Jae and Sol who were walking off to the side. When they came over, Mar-Dule pointed at Sol and spoke.
"This is Sol, he’s the one who fought with Byeong-Ho. Sol this is our Eldest Sister, Mar-Tala."
"Ho? So, you’re the new genius that popped out of nowhere. I’ve been hearing so much about you in the Land of Shadows. You can just call me Elder Sister Tala."
Sol nodded, but what Mar-Tala said about him being talked about in Land of Shadows made him pause.
He understood that fighting Byeong-Ho would spark conversation about him in Jianghu. After coming to the Tribe, he was surprised they knew about him, but he thought it was just a coincidence.
But now that he heard he was being talked about in the Land of Shadows, Sol realized that his spar with Byeong-Ho had sent shockwaves throughout the entire Eastern Continent. He should have known that was the case because Byeong-Ho wasn’t just considered to be the number one genius in Jianghu, but the entire Eastern Continent.
So, Sol coming out of nowhere to fight on equal footing with him would undoubtedly raise questions and interest from everyone.
"To think you would be friends with such a figure, Little Brother."
Mar-Tala said this before she paused. Then after a moment, she took out a wooden plank about the size of two adult palms. She then handed it to Sol while saying.
"I hope you wouldn’t mind if you gave me your signature."
Sol was taken aback by that request, but Mar-Tala coughed in her fist before she explained.
"My daughter is currently training with her Father for the upcoming Tournament, so she’s unable to be here. Her fifteenth birthday is also coming and being that she’s a fervent admirer of you, I wanted to gift her your signature for her birthday."
Sol smiled and nodded.
"Sure."
He took the plank of wood, and after infusing Wood Aether Energy in his finger, he asked.
"What’s your daughter’s name?"
"It’s Mar-Amai."
Sol’s finger moved and he carved a short sentence on the wooden plank.
"Happy Birthday Mar-Amai."
He was then about to sign it with his name, but Mar-Tala said.
"Why not sign it with your moniker?"
"I have a moniker?"
Sol was surprised but Mar-Dule explained.
"Sol, everyone’s been calling you ’The Heavenly Descending Dragon of Jianghu.’ It’s because of how you suddenly appear out of nowhere to challenge Byeong-Ho to a spar. You’re like a dragon that suddenly descended from the Heavens to reveal your strength."
All of this was news to Sol, but he didn’t hate the name. He signed the plank with his moniker and then handed it back to Mar-Tala.
After carefully placing the plank into her storage, Mar-Tala turned to Yoon-Jae and asked.
"And who is this Little Sister?"
Yoon-Jae’s face immediately changed when he heard that.
"I’m a boy."
He muttered before he untied his hair. Those girls had fixed his hair into a female’s hairstyle with their gummy hands. And him wearing the sex-neutral protective clothes, he did resemble a girl quite a lot.
"Eldest Sister, this is Yoon-Jae. He’s-"
"Yoon-Jae?"
Mar-Tala did a double take when she heard that.
"Nice to see you again Elder Sister Tala."
Mar-Tala soon recovered, and she chuckled before saying.
"I almost didn’t recognize you. You look even more beautiful."
"Don’t you mean handsome?"
"That’s hard to say."
Yoon-Jae frowned when he heard that.
"Wait, you know Yoon-Jae Eldest Sister?"
"Of course, I do. His Brother was one of my biggest suitors in the past. How is he by the way?"
Yoon-Jae shook his head.
"I don’t know, I have nothing to with him or the Kunlun Sect anymore."
Mar-Tala looked at Yoon-Jae silently with a smile on her face.
"You’ve changed so much since I last saw you. You’ve become more mature; however, maturity does not equate to closing off your emotions."
Yoon-Jae lowered his head as Mar-Tala patted it.
Afterward, Mar-Tala asked.
"Where is Father and the Elders? I don’t sense them in the Tribe."
"I’m not sure, they suddenly took off a day ago and haven’t returned."
"Hmm~ It probably has something to do with the Western Region. Anyway, let’s drink to celebrate all of us being able to gather here."
The group reached the center of the Tribe and the Festival resumed.
However, Sol was having thoughts of leaving. After a moment, he found an opening to slip away from his table.
Yoon-Jae who was being held against his will at another table by a few girls, stood up while saying.
"Alright girls, this is where I have to leave you."
On his walk back to his tent, Sol heard the sounds from the Festival slowly fade away bit by bit. By the time he reached his tent and entered, the sound had completely faded.
Sol walked over to his bed, and Abdu leaped off his head. Sol then let himself fall face-first onto his bed.
Soon, muffled sniffles could be heard coming from him.
The thought that was going through Sol’s head at this moment was that he had to continue hiding his eyes with his bangs for another day.
Suddenly, Sol felt the presence of someone approaching his tent, then he heard his tent flaps opening.
He felt the person walked to his bed to stand over him.
At first, he thought it was Yoon-Jae, but the excited voice of a girl was heard asking.
"Are you crying?"
