The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 244- Yep, That’s Him

Chapter 244: Chapter 244- Yep, That’s Him

"Wah-So I have to fight your sister for the Hellfire Grass? I don’t have anything that’s of equal value to exchange for it."

"Don’t worry, we respect strength above all else so it’s normal to see someone stronger snatch other people’s possessions."

"That’s..."

Sol didn’t have any words for that. Wasn’t that too lawless?

But if that’s what had to be done to save Little Zeel, he had to do it.

However, seeing Sol’s determined expression, Yoon-Jae suddenly stepped in and said.

"Idiot explained it more clearly."

Yoon-Jae turned to Sol and said.

"He means you just have to challenge the person to a battle and win. Not going up to them and outright stealing their possessions."

"But that’s what I just said."

Mar-Dule glared at Yoon-Jae.

Yoon-Jae rolled his eyes and said.

"If I hadn’t said anything, Sol would have gone up to your sister and tried to take the Hellfire Grass by force."

Mar-Dule turned to Sol and saw him nod. His expression immediately changed to a frightened look.

"Ah, don’t do that. As long as you challenge her to a Dan Tao Mo and win you’ll get the Hellfire Grass."

"Dan Tao Mo? The game you taught me before?"

"Hm, I’ve never won against her even though I came close a few times, but I’m sure you’ll be able to win."

Sol nodded.

After retrieving the Hellfire Grass he was going to head straight back to Jianghu so his Uncle Master could cure Little Zeel.

Sol clenched his fists and looked at the orange horizon in the distance.

....

...

..

A few hours had passed since they entered the Central Eternal Desert.

The sun was fully up, but it was still quite early in the day.

"We’ve reached."

Mar-Dule said, prompting Sol and Yoon-Jae to stand up and look ahead.

The two immediately saw people in the distance and a few large tents.

Sol thought this looked more like a Tribe than the one he visited before.

He couldn’t estimate the number of people but they should be in the thousands from the number of big and small tents there were.

The people he saw were mostly wearing protective clothes, though as the boat got closer Sol saw a few kids running around without them just fine.

This was a Safe Zone so the heat wasn’t as bad, but it still wasn’t at a temperature Sol would go unprotected for a long period of time. Either these kids were fine without them since they weren’t cultivating Aether Energy yet, or they’d gotten used to the heat.

As the boat landed on the outskirts of the tents, the kids stopped playing to see who the visitor was.

When they saw Sol and Yoon-Jae leap down they were at first confused, but after seeing a familiar chubby figure, their eyes lit up.

"Uncle Mar-Dule, you’re back!"

The dozen or so kids all ran to Mar-Dule with speed unfitting for their age before jumping him; either grabbing his legs or his arms. The ones that jumped at his belly bounced right off.

"Ah, you brats, get off me!"

Mar-Dule angrily yelled, but he was smiling.

Sol watched this scene and he couldn’t help but recall his own village.

"Uncle Mar-Dule, why does it look like you’ve gotten fatter?"

One boy said as he poked Mar-Dule’s belly through his protective clothes.

"Brat, this this how I cultivate!"

Mar-Dule’s leg suddenly lashed out and the boy reacted fast by crossing his arms and blocking the kick. With a bang, he was sent flying.

Mar-Dule then twisted his body and the other kids latching onto him were sent hurtling through the air.

Now it was raining kids. Though, they all skillfully landed on their feet.

Sol and Yoon-Jae seeing this realized these kids weren’t ordinary.

They were between seven and ten but each of them had abnormal physical strength and flexibility.

The boy Mar-Dule kicked looked to be the oldest, around eleven. He was fine after blocking the kick, and though Mar-Dule hadn’t used his full strength, it was still a kick from some in the Mortal Realm with a strong fleshly body.

"Hey, where is that old granny?"

"We don’t know, why don’t you go look for her yourself?!"

One kid yelled before they all ran off laughing.

"Ah, you damn brats. You better not tell anyone I’m back!"

The boy who blocked Mar-Dule’s kick, grinned before he cupped his mouth with his hands and bellow out.

"UNCLE MAR-DULE IS BACK!!!"

The boy’s shout could probably be heard from a few miles away.

"Fuck."

Mar-Dule cursed, and before Sol could ask what was wrong, the sand beneath their feet suddenly started shaking.

"Wha-Is this an Earthquake?"

Yoon-Jae asked shocked as he looked down, but Sol tapped him on the shoulder and then pointed forward.

When Yoon-Jae looked up, he saw that the cause of the earthquake was due to several burly, shirtless, and sweaty men running towards them from out of the sea of tents.

Yoon-Jae’s face went pale at the sight.

These burly men looked like fierce beasts as they kicked up sand everywhere. The last few tents that were in their way, were around twenty to thirty meters tall, but they completely lept over it and landed just a few feet away from them.

"AHHH!!"

Yoon-Jae cried out as the sand around them was knocked into the air; drowning them.

....

...

..

Seated around a table full of strange meat and wine, Yoon-Jae still had not recovered from that near-death experience. He truly thought he going to be run over!

However, it turns out these people came to pick them up and carry them to eat.

Around the table, both men and women could be seen unashamedly digging into the large spread on the table.

The women weren’t eating as badly as the men who were sending food flying everywhere, but there was no proper etiquette in their actions either despite their attempts.

Yoon-Jae felt out of place.

"Brother Yoon-Jae, you’re not eating?"

Yoon-Jae turned to look at Sol next to him, who had grease all over his face. The empty plates next to him had already formed a small mountain on the table.

Yoon-Jae shook his head before sliding his plate of food over to Sol, who didn’t hesitate to sallow it in practically one go.

"Haha, cousin, who are your friends?"

One of the burly men who brought the group here asked as he looked at Yoon-Jae and Sol. Especially at Sol.

Everyone at the table stopped eating to look at the two.

That was over a hundred pairs of eyes.

Mar-Dule who was eating as well, swallowed the food in his mouth and introduced Sol and Yoon-Jae.

"This is Yoon-Jae and Sol. They’re friends I made in the Martial Alliance Academy."

"Sol? Do you mean that new disciple who was able to fight on par with Byeong-Ho from the Huashan Sect?"

One of the burly men asked and everyone turned to looked at Sol in surprise.

"Yep, that’s him."

Immediately after Mar-Dule said this he went back to eating, but the burly men suddenly had their demeanor changed. They all look at Sol as if he was a fat slab of meat.

Sol clearly saw the battle intent in the eyes.
