Chapter 232: Chapter 232- I Merely Took Back What Was Stolen From My Brother
Asung-Hei didn’t respond and only lowered his head to keep his gaze on the cup of tea in his hands.
"Not answering? Are you a mute?"
Woo-Seong walked up to Asung-Hei and bent his waist to try and look at his face.
Asung-Hei glanced up at Woo-Seong through his bangs, and hatred flashed across his eyes for a brief moment. However, he hurriedly lowered his gaze.
But Woo-Seong had seen it, and he frowned.
"Woo-Seong, step back."
Sol commanded, and before Woo-Seong realized what he was doing, he was stepping back.
Woo-Seong was shocked at his own actions.
’Who was this brat to order me around so casually? But damn it, why did I listen?’
After Woo-Seong stepped back, Sol turned to Asung-Hei.
He opened his mouth to say something but paused.
’If I’m right, then Woo-Seong shouldn’t be here.’
Sol turned back to Woo-Seong and said.
"Woo-Seong leave."
"What? I’m not leaving, I just got here."
Sol’s face gained a stern expression and he reprimanded.
"Did you just talk back to me? I said you should leave, so hurry and leave!"
As if suffering from PTSD from all those times his hand was broken, Woo-Seong got nervous at Sol’s tone of voice. But quickly he buried it before he snorted and said derisively.
"You think that will work on me now that I’m free from you? Who do you think you are, my father?"
Woo-Seong glared at Sol, however, he simultaneously took a step back from him that brought him closer to Asung-Hei.
"Plus, I want to know why you bastards came here when you should be looking for my brother’s killer. This fucker isn’t the one who killed my Brother, is he? Hey, are you the bastard from the Demonic Cult?"
"..."
"Huh? Are you still staying silent? So you’re not even gonna say anything to disprove my words?"
Woo-Seong began poking Asung-Hei’s head after he offhandedly made those comments. However, what Asung-Hei said next caused Woo-Seong’s body to go rigid.
"So what if I did?"
Asung-Hei then raised his head and glared at Woo-Seong. This time his hatred was unconcealed.
Woo-Seong quickly recovered and coldly looked at Asung-Hei.
"Are you trying to be funny? You better watch what you say. Don’t think I won’t do anything to you."
"Hahaha!!"
Asung-Hei suddenly began laughing aloud. It was a laugh devoid of happiness and was instead filled with overwhelming hatred.
Woo-Seong frowned at him before he turned to look at Sol and Gion before asking.
"Did this bastard hit his head or something?"
Gion frowned, but Sol was looking at Asung-Hei as if he knew what was going through his mind.
"Asung-Hei, we’ll come back to question you later, for now, we’re leaving."
Sol then stood up from his seat before turning to Gion.
Gion showed a confused expression, not understanding what was going on. But seeing Sol’s eagerness to leave, he stood up as well.
However, it was at this moment that Asung-Hei stopped laughing and said.
"You know, I had a brother who entered the Academy and became a disciple for the Irregular Dharma Pavilion a few years ago. But right after he became a fifth-year disciple and was about to return to our Clan, my Father received news that he was dead. How did he die? They said he wanted to do one last mission in the Demonic Forest before he left the Academy, but he was killed by a strong Spirit Beast inside. Don’t you think that’s a strange excuse used by the Irregular Dharma Pavilion when my brother had no interest in the Demonic Forest to go there? "
"Huh? How is that strange? And why are you suddenly telling us your sob story? I don’t remember asking, did I?"
Woo-Seong picked his ear in annoyance as he said this.
Asung-Hei’s eyes narrowed at Woo-Seong, but at that moment Sol turned to Woo-Seong and scolded.
"What’s with you being so inconsiderate? You of all people should know what it feels like to lose a brother."
Woo-Seong froze when he heard Sol. Scratching his neck, he then said barely above a whisper.
"I didn’t mean it like that, sorry, okay?"
Given his attitude, this was probably the first time Woo-Seong was doing something like apologizing. That was just how deeply Geon-Soo’s death had affected him.
But when Asung-Hei heard Woo-Seong’s apology, his expression changed.
"What the hell?"
Asung-Hei’s hands tighten around his cup.
"Did you just apologize? Haha, how ironic of you to suddenly gain sympathy for others after your brother died. I only grew to dislike everyone around me. It was better if you had continued being as arrogant as before."
"What?"
Woo-Seong looked at Asung-Hei with confusion, but Sol cut in and said.
"We’re leaving."
He then went toward Woo-Seong to get him away from Asung-Hei.
But Asung-Hei suddenly looked up at Woo-Seong standing over him and said flatly.
"I killed your brother."
The entire courtyard suddenly became deathly silent because Asung-Hei didn’t seem like he was telling a joke.
He looked dead serious.
"Do you want to know why?"
Asung-Hei said as he continue to looked at Woo-Seong who’s body had begun to shake.
"You kill my brother?"
"Woo-Seong..."
Sol said stepping forward, but Woo-Seong shrugged him off when he tried to pull him back.
"Answer me, did you really kill my brother?"
Woo-Seong glared at Asung-Hei who nodded.
"He had something that was stolen from my brother, so I snuck into the Martial Alliance Academy and stole it back."
"You’re from the Demonic Cult?"
Gion asked, and Asung-Hei glanced at him.
"Brother Gion, do you really think the Demonic Cult are the ones stealing the Forgotten Geniuses Innate Dharmas?"
Gion frowned at that, while Asung-Hei glanced back at Woo-Seong.
"Your Wudang Sect stole my brother’s Innate Dharma and gave it to your brother. I merely took back what was stolen from my brother."
"Do you even know what you’re saying? Are you actually accusing the Wudang Sect of going around killing disciples for their Innate Dharmas? That’s hard to believe."
