The Growth of a Titan
Chapter 216- How Fascinating

Chapter 216: Chapter 216- How Fascinating

Byeong-Ho was unimpressed with how Cheong-Su was making excuses for Ji-Hoon, but he didn’t want to say anything more to ruin the mood.

However, while everyone was excited that their plans had fallen into place, the Clans and Sects who sold their lands in Pearl City were in an uproar.

Every single Clan Leader and Sect Leader, without exception, coughed up a mouth full of blood where they stood watching the pillar of light from the Teleportation Array.

However, the feeling of regret was so deep they coughed up another one for good measure.

As the cultivators in the City rose into the air to watch the Teleportation Array opening, a powerful snort that caused the pillar of white light to tremble, resounded across Pearl City.

The cultivators who were floating in the sky with their Spirit Treasures experienced a thousand-pound force knock the wind out of them.

Even the Spiritual Realm cultivators who were floating in the sky wobbled and almost fell to the ground.

*Vomit!*

Sol suddenly vomited out a mouth full of blood.

"Sol!"

Yoon-Jae held his aching chest and rushed over to him as he collapsed onto the ground.

Abdu’s face changed, and he turned to glare at the man who appeared in the sky.

This man looked to be in his late forties and he resembled a beggar with his tattered robes that barely covered his body.

But from his shaven head and the beads he held in one hand against his chest, one could see he was a monk of some sort.

"Amitabha, I prefer the entire thing than accepting this lower dimension."

The monk said before pushed his hand toward the empty void.

The City started trembling before a translucent barrier spanning the entire sky above Pearl City and beyond appeared.

The monk’s hand left a massive palm print on this large barrier as he tried pushing past it.

This monk was trying to force his way into the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension.

"You would rather destroy a part of the Main Dimension getting in than settle with the Lower Dimension?"

The voice of a young boy echoed out and at the same time, a tremendous power shoved against the monk’s palm.

However, the monk did not move, and neither did his palm.

"Amitabha, this old man is merely trying to reclaim what was stolen from my Academy."

The monk then grasped his hand, and the barrier of the dimension twisted.

"That-That’s the Academy Leader!"

Mar-Dule looked up at this monk in shock.

The Leader of the Martial Alliance Academy had personally come to reclaim the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension!

"This isn’t good, Eldest Brother might be in danger."

Abdu seemed to sneer after hearing Cheong-San.

"Do you think the dimension is made out of sticks? Unless this person’s power surpasses Immortal Dai Shen’s own then he can forget about entering. He’s not even an Immortal, merely a Transcendant...*Snort!*"

Abdu was furious this brat made such a bold and unnecessary entrance.

Everyone turned to look at Abdu with weird expressions.

They didn’t know how to feel when someone was looking down on the Leader of the Martial Alliance Academy. Not that it was out of loyalty or anything, for god-sake they helped stole the Dimension.

Rather it was due to his status as one of the strongest in Jianghu, and the Eastern Continent as a whole.

He was a god-like being to them.

But here he was being looked down upon by a cat.

It warped their view quite a bit, but nevertheless, they tried not to comment when they couldn’t fathom someone of the Academy Leader’s level.

Yoon-Jae turned to Sol who was getting up.

"Idiot, why were you acting like you were fully healed?"

Sol forced a smile.

His external wounds were healed, but inside his body was still a mess.

A Spiritual Realm cultivator was no joke, even for his Innate Dharma his wounds would take a while to heal. And that was not to mention the backlash his physical body and soul received.

Sol had healed his wounds on the surface so the others didn’t have to worry. But thanks to the Academy Leader his ruse was up.

"Enough!"

The young boy’s voice from the Hundred Plants and Herbs Dimesnion echoed out once again, and this time the power from the dimension erupted out and shoved against the Academy Leader’s palm with more force.

He was forced to take a step back as a result.

A slight crease appeared on the Academy Leader’s face, but he quickly calmed down and said.

"Amitabha, what would you have me do? Without this dimension, my Academy will not be able to fund our expenses. Our disciples will be the ones to suffer. As the Leader of the Academy appointed by the people, how could I allow that to happen?"

"Bah! Do I look like I care? I already unsealed the Lower Dimension because I felt bad, do you want me to close it back?"

Suddenly, the light from the Teleportation Array waned; the connection it had to the Lower Dimension was being severed.

"Amitabha, this old man is grateful for your kindness."

The Academy Leader hurriedly said.

*Snort!*

The Teleportation Array light started to stabilize.

"Since you understand, directly screw off! And brat, next time don’t go calling yourself an old man in front of this old man. You’re barely half a millennia years old. How shameless... *huff*"

The dimension barrier then began to fade away.

Meanwhile, the cultivators in Pearl City were watching this scene in shock and dumbfoundment.

They’ve heard the stories about the Academy Leader. Just being the Leader of the Martial Alliance Academy was enough for everyone to hold his name in high regard, but he was an existence who was rumored to have surpassed the Spiritual Realm and opened his Heavenly Palace.

A God.

What else could he be described as?

Having this view of him, and then witnessing this scene where his desire to regain the dimension was curved stomp to oblivion, it made everyone question reality.

However, the Academy Leader didn’t seem to be affected by the humiliation.

"Amitabha, this junior apologizes once more."

He even bowed as he apologized.

A snort came from the dimension before it fully faded away.

Seeing this, everyone was wondering what was going to happen now.

Speculations about who that person was started to fill everyone’s mouths.

In just this short amount of time, more people believed that it was some great Immortal. Perhaps it was the creator of the Dimension themselves!

After the City was opened, news of an Immortal appearing was going to be the talk of Jianghu.

No, not just Jianghu, the entire Eastern Region.

Also, with the news of those from the Western Region coming over, Pearl City and Jianghu as a whole might just become the center of the Martial World for the foreseeable future.

"Pearl City will no longer be closed off to the outside world, you can all come and go as you please. As for the Lower Dimension, the Academy will be issuing the rules and regulations for those who can enter going forward."

The Academy was known to be a Neutral Power in Jianghu, but it was somewhat of an extension of the Shaolin Sect. This could be seen just by the fact the Leader of the Academy was always chosen from the Shaolin Sect.

The Shaolin Sect had always declared themselves as a Neutral Power as well, and so far they didn’t give anyone a reason to doubt that.

Aside from them being the most powerful force among the Six Holy Sects and Five Great Clans, this impartial attitude was one of the reasons why everyone accepted their rule over Jianghu through the Martial Alliance Academy.

The Academy Leader was not the Sect Leader of the Shaolin Sect, but he was well known to be the only disciple of the Shaolin Sect Leader.

His words were no different from the Shaolin Sect Leader’s words.

Everyone bowed towards the Academy Leader.

"Amitabha, you can be dismissed."

With that, all the cultivators scattered.

Their goal at the moment was to secure a piece of land in Pearl City. They knew this place was going to be the center of Jianghu so what other way to rake in a profit than setting up shop here?

In the sky, the Academy Leader glanced at the void silently, before he turned to leave.

He didn’t seem angry or disappointed that he hadn’t regained the dimension. Not once had his expression drastically changed since he showed up.

The only emotion he had was his snort filled with anger when he came.

But even then, it was brief.

However, just as he was about to leave, his expression completely changed, breaking his monk persona.

"What?"

The Academy Leader swiftly turned his head to the ground, and his gaze landed on an unremarkable two-story Pavilion in the City.

Though it was an unremarkable Pavilion, the Academy Leader was looking at it with intrigue.

"Ho? How fascinating."
