Chapter 215- What Took Him So Long?

Chapter 215: Chapter 215- What Took Him So Long?

After all the worry and anxiety they were feeling, the group was about to bombard Sol with life advice about thinking about doing something before doing it. But with his immediate apology, most of their anger died down somewhat.

However, Yoon-Jae was still peeved.

"You think an apology is going to wipe away all the stress I’ve been feeling while concocting those pills? I thought if I didn’t work fast enough, you might die!"

Under Yoon-Jae’s glare, Sol scratched his cheek. He then bore the pain and got up to face Yoon-Jae.

Yoon-Jae was still glaring at him, but Sol smiled and raised his hands to hug him. However, Yoon-Jae’s expression was funnily still the same.

"Did I say I wanted a hug?"

"I know what it feels like to see someone you consider family dies in front of you. I’m sorry I put you through that, but I’m alive so it’s okay."

Sol had strangely come to see Yoon-Jae as a brother.

Though he had close friends he grew up with in the village, there was a bit of distance between them since they knew he wasn’t from the village.

The only other person Sol shared this kind of relationship with was Amon.

Though it wasn’t explicitly said, he knew Yoon-Jae felt the same way.

Yoon-Jae expression unintentionally softened to his dismay.

He really couldn’t stay mad at Sol.

"Sit down before you aggravate your wounds, Sol."

Sol released his hug and grinned.

"I’m fine."

He then reached up and ripped the slightly bloody bandages off with one tug.

"See."

Sol said as he ran his hand over the large scar that started a few inches beside his heart, just missing his nipple, and stopped above his waist. There were also a few smaller scars on his abdomen, but this one looked especially gruesome.

"I envy that Innate Dharma, wasn’t that too fast?"

Mar-Dule said as he looked at the healed wound they were once trying to treat without avail.

The wound was bad, but Sol assumed the reason why it was so difficult to heal and kept bleeding was because of his Bloodline Energy.

He had immediately lost consciousness so he wasn’t able to seal it back.

Speaking of which...

Sol spotted something in the corner of his eye.

"Ah!"

Grabbing a few strands of his hair, Sol realized it was still in its golden state. He then looked down at his hand to see that the bracelets were still rings on his middle finger.

’I didn’t even notice it.’

Sol tried to scan his body, though without Soul Energy he really couldn’t see his body’s inner workings. But he was still able to feel that his crescent moon was releasing a small stream of energy to his physical body.

’It looks like my body has adapted to the crescent moon’s energy somewhat. So I guess I won’t face a massive backlash when I take them off in the future.’

One of the bracelets on his middle finger expanded and then returned to his wrist.

His golden hair and eyes dimmed a bit.

Upon feeling the sensation of having one bracelet off, Sol didn’t really feel much.

That could only mean his physical body had gotten stronger.

This was the first time in a while Sol felt his strength increase significantly in one go.

When he was training with his Master he had this feeling every other week. But after coming to the academy, although his strength didn’t stagnate, it was increasing at a much slower pace. Perhaps this ’slower pace’ to some would make one a talented disciple in the Academy, but to Sol, it wasn’t enough.

’I guess my fight with Hyun-Joo was the right choice. But perhaps I shouldn’t do something so risky again in the future. At least when it will worry those around me.’

Sol allowed his last bracelet to clamp back onto his wrist.

It was after this did he realized everyone was silently staring at him.

Sol paused.

They saw his battle with Hyun-Joo, so they must have a lot of questions for him.

"I know I shouldn’t pry since you would have told us if you wanted to, but are you from the Western Continent Sol?"

Mar-Dule was the one to ask the first question.

"If you are, then what was that power you used to reverse Elder Hyun-Joo’s attack? Was it like a Spell?"

Cheong-San turned to his brother and shook his head.

"No, brother, that would mean he’s a Warlock. But he was using Faith Energy so that’ isn’t the case."

After this short conversation, everyone turned back to look at Sol.

Seeing his hesitant expression, Yoon-Jae said.

"You don’t have to say if you don’t want to. And don’t feel guilty if that’s what you choose to do, everyone here has secrets of their own."

Indeed this wasn’t something Sol wanted to share about himself, and he did feel guilty for not wanting to.

After a moment of silence, Sol said.

"I’m neither from the Western Continent nor the Eastern Continent. I’m from the Ibbian Mountain Range."

"Ah! You mean the Demonic Forest?"

Cheong-Su looked at Sol in shock, and so did the others.

However, Yoon-Jae was relatively calm.

"No wonder you don’t resemble someone from the Barbarian Race. Even one of your parents being from Jianghu or the Land of Shadows doesn’t seem right as well. So you were from the Demonic Forest."

Sol turned to Byeong-Ho and asked worriedly.

"Is my looks that obvious?"

Mar-Dule shook his head.

"If you didn’t confirm you’re from the Demonic Forest then we would have assumed you’re from the Eastern Continent. You don’t have to worry about someone discovering your identity, however, try not to reveal that hair color. That’s a different story."

Everyone in the group nodded.

However, a thought also crossed their minds.

If Sol wasn’t from the Western Continent, how was he able to use Faith Energy?

But then again, it wasn’t impossible for someone from Jianghu to cultivate Faith Energy given the opportunity.

The real issue is cultivating both it and Aether Energy at the same time. Surely, something like that should be impossible. Once Aether Energy is cultivated, it should be hard to introduce a foreign Energy into your body.

It was likely the same with Faith Energy.

Despite their many questions, no one pushed Sol to answer. They place this matter at the back of their minds.

However, Mar-Dule was slightly disappointed.

’So he doesn’t have my Barbarian Race bloodline, but it’s way too similar. I still want him to meet Father.’

Meanwhile, Sol suddenly caught a whiff of something foul, and before he could crinkle up his nose, he paused and then smelt his armpits.

He was immediately hit with a deadly smell that left a stinging sensation in his nostrils.

Yoon-Jae, while holding Little Zeel, took a step back when he raised his arms.

"Just how long have I been unconscious?"

Sol asked as he pinched his nose.

"Almost four days."

"Wah! Really? No wonder I stink so badly. Why didn’t you clean me?!"

Sol was shocked upon hearing Yoon-Jae’s response, and before Yoon-Jae could scold him for being grateful to them for treating his life-threatening injuries, he asked again.

"Wait, what happened to Elder Hyun-Joo, and also, why don’t I see Brother Dae Han?"

"I’m here."

Dae Han’s voice echoed out in the room despite being nowhere to be seen.

Sol traced the voice back to Abdu on the bed.

"It’s a long story. The Yin and Yang Celestial Stones are reacting to Second Brother’s Innate Dharma for some reason. We had to isolate him as a result. And as for Elder Hyun-Joo, her body is also with Sir Abdu."

"The Yin and Yang Celestial Stones reacting to my Innate Dharma is an understate! It’s like they’re trying to suck my Innate Dharma dry! This has never happened before when Sect Leader gifted me Yang Celestial Stone, so I don’t even know why this is happening now."

Sol’s ears twitch.

"Master was the one who gave you the Yang Celestial Stone?"

"Yeah, he just appeared and tossed it to me before disappearing."

"Second Brother is the only one of us to see Sect Leader."

"I didn’t see him, I barely saw his shadow."

"W-Wait, what? Go back for a second. Did you just say, Master?."

Mar-Dule just processed Sol’s words and he was wholly shocked. However, seeing that no one had a reaction, he realized he was the only one out of the loop... again.

Though as upset as he was, Sol revealing this now means he trusted him somewhat.

’Why does everything involve Master?’

As Sol was thinking this, a loud bang suddenly echoed out followed by the pavilion they were in trembling violently.

"What was that?"

"It’s coming from outside."

"It’s the Teleportation Array."

Everyone perked up when Abdu said that, and they all rushed towards the balcony of the two-story Pavilion to look outside.

Just a few buildings away was the Multidimensional Teleportation Array leading to the Outer Region of the Hundred Plants and Herbs dimension.

A bright white pillar was seen shooting up into the firmament.

"The Outer Dimension is opening!"

Cheong-San said excitedly.

"What took him so long?"

Byeong-Ho folded his arms.

"Maybe it was difficult for Eldest Brother to open it."
